Hi Theo, This is Anton, CEO of Ment Funding and Mentfx.

As we tried to relay it to you in the email's you sent us, you are mistaken and hadn't taken the time to read out website. I strongly suggest anyone reading over this should do their due diligence and make sure our model fits your style PRIOR to starting an evaluation with us and getting funded with real capital; the worst thing we can do is fund someone with real capital that doesn't understand our rules, and the worst thing you can do is pay for our evaluation without first understanding our rules.

As per the rules, depending on the account size you get and the correspondent leverage, your lot size has a max size (if not scaled); $100,000 = 10 lots MAX, $200,000 = 20 lots MAX, $1,000,000 = 100 lots MAX, etc. With our scaling rule of being able to manually increase your MAX lot size when you make 5% on the account and begin to compound (which is also specified on our website).

We are aware that this max lot size will NOT work with every single market available. As per Eightcap's broker rules, the specification of each market can be viewed by right clicking the market and viewing them in the mt4 terminal or on their website. 1 lot on a currency is = 100,000 of that currency, 1 lot on a share (CFD STOCK) = 100 shares, 1 lot on crypto = 1 coin (1lot on bitcoin = 1bitcoin, 1lot on cardano = 1cardano, 1lot on ETH = 1ETH, etc.). With this in mind - your max lot size regardless of specification size on any market is 200 LOTS as long as its within the leverage permitted on the account (which is also made available on our website).

These limitations are set by the broker - and we have our backend that permits the max lot size to match our risk parameters as we fund our members with real capital.

Your review does not make sense. a lot is based on 100,000 units of currencies, NOT crypto currencies. You need to make sure you understand the distinctions prior to attempting to trade real capital. As per eightcaps rules, 1 lot of any CRYPTOCURRENCY is equivalent to 1coin of that given currency (as shown above) and 1 lot of any CURRENCY (not CRYPTO) is equivalent to 100,000 units of that currency.

Yes, given these broker limitations as well as Ment Funding's backend that allows you 200 lots max on a 2million dollar account, you will not always be able to risk the amount you want on a small coin. However, you won't have an issue trading currencies, commodities, or indicies or some of the larger coins given that its within the risk parameters provided to you.

I ask that you take the time to read our rules and fully understand our model prior to leaving a bad review or purchasing an evaluation with us.

We are after funding successful traders, and we expect successful traders to have some attention to detail. I hope this reply helps some of you, or even the person that left it - and hopefully leads you to change the rating and/or your actual comment as it misrepresents what we offer and our model.

TLDR: Cryptocurrency is not the same as basic currencies and are not weighted the same by the broker you are trading on. You cannot risk more than the permitted lot size on your account which is available on our website. And we scale your lot size as per the scaling rule we showcase on our website as well.

Hey man, this is Anton, I appreicate your review although I find it a little unjustified and unfair. You will see my response to a few other reviews like this one below as I made an effort to make sure that every member/person understands why we offer what we do and how we offer it.

1) The rules are restrictive - yes, as any firm, there will always be some kind of limit on the trader. I preferred to limit the trader in terms of risk as to permit and allow for a 1-step evaluation that can be passed over ANY TIMEFRAME - there are no time limits on anyone unlike other firms.
Many firms will limit you with time, profit targets, and 2 steps, and are able to present to you "non restrictive" risk choices.

On the other hand, we seek to restrict crazy risk, but bring on the benefit on no time limit whatsoever as well as a 1-step evaluation that can be passed instantly or over multiple years if you prefer, hence why we offer larger funding capital as well.

2) the price goes directly into the first point. We are offering a model unlike any other - that has its own benefits and cons. I hope you understand that there is a real difference between 2-steps and 1-step, as well as 0 time limit and an extremely restrictive time limit.

I understand that it can be restrictive, any prop that is giving you capital trade with is. Otherwise the prop firm wouldn't exist or would go bankrupt/out of business (as we've seen happen in the industry a few times from a few prop firms).

I ask that you reconsider the poor review as we try to be extremely transparent about exactly what we offer for our members if they choose to be a part of and trade with ment funding. I hope you understand our point of view and don't tarnish our reputation on the exact things we made clear to you and our members way before you would buy an evaluation with us. Please reconsider this as I find it unfair and a poor review of what our firm offers and does.

Thank you so much for leaving the review I appreciate it a lot :D

We are constantly working to improve and will continue to improve as we go forward. Im sure you'll be pleased to know our commissions per lot traded have been reduced and the markets haven't been changed, which means those low spreads are now accompanied with an even LOWER comission. Going forward, well continue to look for ways to implement better approaches as traders grow, however, we currently have in motion that scalability via lot size build up as the trader progresses on their funded account.

Happy to hear your queries were returned, we are actively looking and making sure we don't need a bigger support staff to ensure all members receive responses.

I hope you reconsider the 4 star and consider a 5 star given how new we are in the industry and how we continue to aim to improve the user experience as well as remain transparent about exactly what we provide.

Hey brother,

We are actively looking for ways to make the user experience better, and add on payment options, as I believe we very recently added PayPal. With the current state of affairs in the crypto space, we want to make sure an implementation of crypto wouldn't result in major issues so we are taking our time as we roll out larger changes like that. That said, Prop Account, LLC, our partner and provider of backend services doesn't have any main website or anything - they are the investor backend, and it is our job (Ment Funding) to bring on traders and members for the investors and be the face of the process - however, we have funded every account that has properly passed our challenge, and continue to grow and pay out every trader.

I understand the fee to double the leverage is a bit steep, but its better than NOT having the option at all - and to protect investor money but also give the traders the OPTION not the requirement to be able to have a higher lot size, made sense - so we charged what we believe works within the balance parameters. As we are funding members with real money.

Appreciate the review brother :) thank you for the 4 stars. If you like the response and/or end up continuing doing business with Ment Funding and take notice to the major updates we put forward - like our now reduced commissions, like our addition of PayPal, of our availability of MT4/MT5 and upgradeable offers - it would mean a lot to me to see that bumped to a 5 star. Hey man, this is Anton just lookign at some review's and wanted to come back on a few. Thank you for leaving a review, however, I find it a little unjustified in terms of what we offer, how we offer it, and how transparent we are about it. I think your review should reflect how well we provide what we offer and whether what we offer makes sense in respect to the rest of our website and outline of our services.

In response,
1) Yes, you are correct, we have a higher cost than other 2-step evaluations. A huge part of this is the fact that we offer funding in 1-step, and not only that, but offer there funding with no time limit whatsoever. This means you can get funded in a week, in a day, or in a year if you prefer. Our higher price reflects this. Simialrly, if FTMO had removed the time limit and/or offered 1 step, they would also see an increase in their prices. Our prices are a reflection of our specific model, and we offer it for traders that may not prefer/or do worse in the 2-step area.

2. The watermark condition applies ONLY to the trailing drawdown which PERMANENTLY locks in after a trader is 5% in profit. The 4% daily loss is based on closed balance, which means once you're passed the actual 5% watermark rule, you are able to hold trades as you need to. We outline the rule in depth and with transparency on our website, in our interviews, as well as on the Instagram to make sure our traders/members understanding going in what they can expect - that way, they can make the choice prior to trading with us. Just because a rule is considered "hard" by you - I don't think warrants a lower review as we make sure to specify our model prior to any trading.

3. We are constantly adding and working on adding other payment methods, we are in the works for PayPal right now, and probably will be working on crypto into the foreseeable future. However, once again, I feel its unfair to leave us a lower review for something we have made clear and are consistently working on updating and changing what we offer, and the payment methods we offer.

Hey man,

This is Anton. I havn't considered a rule like that just yet, maybe we'll have something in the future. But currently, remember the trailing drawdown only trails at CLOSED BALANCE - not on floating equity, which helps in that you can let your trades play out without worrying about increases affecting ur bottom line. We currently don't have any major plans for changing that - however, im looking into potential future upgrades or additional features someone could choose to pay for or customize to have something similar across that line. hey hows it going man this is Anton. Thank you for leaving a review. I apologize on having to wait a bit for your account. We are actively working to bring on a larger support staff. Just keep in mind the support staff doesn't always know how to answer a question so sometimes things take a bit longer as its double checked with me or the backend and as a result, it may take a bit more time to receive a response. Similarly, sometimes we've noticed spam filters prevent some of our emails from getting through to people.

As we are "new" and have on ly launched a few months ago, we have seen some insane growth and success from our members, and are active in continuing to adjust our rules and upgrade our services to benefit everyone that comes on or has been a part of our funding firm.

I ask that you reconsider the 3 stars as you love the prop, and we do what we say we do, and our firm functions as a real prop firm, with real successful traders and money backing them.

We will continue to look for ways to improve. Thank you man.

Please reconsider the review, it means a lot to us (and me, Anton) especially in the start that we build our reputation as a prop firm that will stand the test of time, and we will continue to upgrade and update our members as we go.
