Great advice
I went into Millets this morning to replace my current walking boots. I had intended to buy the same brand as I previously owned, but mentioned to Johnathan that they hadn't retained their promised water proofing. Johnathan said that the brand I had previously chosen is usually waterproof but mud use might compromise this. I mentioned that I often walk through mud and so he advised me on alternative walking boots in the equivalent price range (also above and below) that are better for retaining water proofing in mud.
My feet are rather narrow and he found a pair that fitted well and are fit for my intended purpose.
I felt very happy with my purchase and the advice I received.

Great service from Hal!
Went to buy some waterproof hiking boots and received extremely helpful assistance from Hal who talked me through various options. Really great and extremely happy with the boots I got in the end. A few days later I was wearing them in Norway - warm and comfortable despite trudging through snow and slush all day.

Boots for DofE
Wanting to buy her first boots for her Bronze DofE, Rob helped us even when we were going backwards and forwards on sizes. A great service and once was not rushed while trying on the different pairs and styles on offer.

Great customer service
Went in looking for winter walking shoes, great service from Hal, pointed out shoes in my price range with the characteristics I wanted, promptly got the right size to try on, no pressure sales, great shoes, I went away a happy customer and will return.

Good advice for good shoes
Due to the sudden bad weather i needed good shoes to avoid slipping in the streets. I went to Millets, not knowing what to buy. Jonathan was nice and competent. He gave me some very useful advice and helped me find the right shoes without spending too much.
