I appreciated the time that my NP took to review the intake form prior to the appointment so we could start my initial assessment with a plan. She went through everything step-by-step and ensured I felt comfortable and on board with her recommendations. This is the Gold Standard for women’s healthcare. My experience with Modern Menopause has honestly been life changing. Perimenopause is a time of massive upheaval and I was at the end of my rope when I booked my initial consultation. The care and treatment I have received have been second to none. My provider Shawna Kennedy is incredible. She truly listens, and validates my concerns, and is so knowledgeable. I truly feel she is a miracle worker.

It’s great that you don’t have to wait long for appointments. My appointment was virtual and the NP was right on time. She was very thorough in going over my blood results. Very friendly and I didn’t feel rushed like I sometimes do at the Doctors!!

My (male, middle aged) doctor dismissed my menopause symptoms for almost 8 years. "Eat healthy, exercise more" - I was at the point that I was training for a half marathon and none of it would go away. So I tried Modern Menopause, was heard, prescribed treatment that addressed my symptoms immediately, and, I have to say, I am now changing family doctors just in case he has ignored something even more serious.

Modern menopause has been, so far, a life changing experience. It allowed access for care and treatment in an extremely timely manner which provided better quality of life, moving forward. My doctor has been understanding of my needs and thorough in her plans for proper treatment, ensuring all necessary testing is done for follow ups in order to better understand where improvements can be made in my treatment plan etc.

Modern Menopause is an excellent resource for menopause care, especially if your family doctor or OB/GYN is unable or unwilling to provide the support you need for your symptoms. Dr. Eileen Wang took the time to go through every detail with me, truly listened to my concerns, and worked with me to find solutions that were right for me.

I want to share how grateful I am for the team at Modern Menopause. Advocating for myself to access menopause hormone therapy(MHT) was one of the hardest parts of my healthcare journey. I started researching it at 58, and despite my efforts here in Canada, I often felt dismissed and was sometimes steered toward antidepressants, even though I knew depression wasn't what I was experiencing. I finally began MHT just before turning 59, and after connecting with Modern Menopause about a year ago, the change in my symptoms and my overall quality of life has been profound. Being truly heard and supported after such a long journey has meant more than I can say. It has changed my life for the better, and I'm so thankful.

I reached out to Modern Menopause on the advice of my 2 sisters in England; all 3 of us in our late sixties and part of the cohort who missed out on prescribed HRT because of the misunderstanding of the WHI study. My sisters had been able to access a related clinic in England and strongly advised me to do the same. Both had been prescribed HRT and finding benefits. Although I am older than the recommended age for Modern Menopause I connected with an NP who was open to considering HRT for me. I have significant osteoporosis so there was a clear indication. We considered the pros and cons of treatment and came to a joint decision to proceed. I have yet to have a follow up Dexa scan to follow up the osteoporosis but immediately I benefited from improved sleep. I have had 3 monthly follow up with blood work. The virtual appointments have worked well; I have felt well supported and confident in my care.

My Nurse Practitioner is amazing. They take the time to listen to you and they understand the process of menopause and the challenges it brings. I felt like myself again after starting treatment thanks to my Practitioner.

I think all women should have access to this type of care and there own nurse practitioner they understand much more about women! Cheers Patricia

I can't recommend this service enough. The platform is easy to navigate, and my provider, Karen Cox, is friendly, helpful, and has exactly the depth of knowledge I'd been looking for in menopause support. She takes the time to answer all of my questions, and I never feel rushed or dismissed. I'm finally on an HRT plan that works, and I feel so much better. Highly recommend.
