I had a really good experience setting…

I had a really good experience setting up my finance agreement with Moneybarn. Everything was simple and easy to understand, and the whole process went smoothly from start to finish. The team was friendly, helpful, and kept me updated along the way, which made everything much less stressful. I’m really pleased with how straightforward it all was and with the service I received. I’d definitely recommend Moneybarn to anyone looking for vehicle finance.

Read this before you buy a car from Money Barn or should I say boring from Money Barn to buy a car?

I bought a car with a loan from Money Barn. I only have the car a matter of months when my financial position changed in my life and I was unable to meet the payment. I borrowed around £8000 and when when they took the car from me only after having it for a few months they sold it for £1000 at auction and now want £11,000 from me they say that they will only let you buy a car that is worth what you pay for it. There was a couple of issues that they had to resolve with the car once they took it back from me they sent me a bill for £300 or just over Which was to put the car roadworthy again basically it had a fault and wouldn’t start and it cost them just over £300 to fix that so for a car I bought for over £8000 and only had it for a few months to sell it for £1000 and then ask me for £11,000 It’s just criminal. Yes they’re very helpful at first because they want your money but if things change in your life and you are unable to pay this is what you could end up with them selling your car for peanuts and then giving you the bill that you originally signed up for so I no longer have a car and they still want £11,000 off me they can’t give me a valid excuse for selling the car for that Cheap when they only let you buy a car if it is worth what you buy it for so I find it hard to believe That after just a few months an £8000 car is only worth £1000 so just be aware of what you’re getting yourself into they give me a car because I was receiving disability benefit you would’ve thought that they wouldn’t be able to give someone a car with mental health problems and physical health problems so easily and it was My disability benefits. They judged on whether I could have the car or not, it’s my own fault for not being more wary of the sort of companies but just imagine the position I’m in. I’ll say it once again I bought a car for just over £8000. I had it for only a few months it needed around £300 work on it because it wouldn’t start there was something wrong wrong with it they sent me the bill for just over £300, which made the car back to roadworthy status. It didn’t have a scratch on it since I bought it. There was nothing wrong with it apart from that £300 they had to pay to get whatever it was that was faulty fixed and then sold it for £1000. They sold the car for £1000 that I bought only a few months back for over 8000 and then they’re pushing me for £11,000 why would they sell the car for so cheap? When they tell you they will only let you buy a car? It is worth what you pay for it I’m sure in just a few months it didn’t lose £7000 so now I am in a very difficult situation struggling with my health and anxiety due to all this, it wasn’t Money Barn‘s fault that I come to financial problems but I can assure you they will sell your car for nothing and still want every penny back from you and the interest I think there’s something not right there make your own mind up about it.

STAY CLEAR

I got finance off Moneybarn I bought a car for £10k paying back £20k yes I had bad credit hence the price £340 p month I got layed off from my job explained at first they were ok I got in the rears due to no work then I was off due to my mental health my rears were £1400 I needed the car to get to work I payed back £600 in 2 weeks .. I got a job who let me down etc.. so I got a new job now explaining I need car just pause my account for a month to catch up explaining my mental health I was in a very dark place suicidal…the agent on phone. Was sympathetic at first then she said the options were go to court and pay £555 to see if you can get lower payments .. the option s were pathetic I don’t blame anyone for my mental health but trust all this company does is take advantage of people who got poor credit I will be taking them to court for my treatment they don’t care about your well being they just want there money I mean £10k interest makes me sick Iwill drag them through the courts I told the agenti was suicidal but it’s all about the money come get your car you disgust me ….STAY CLEAR !!!mark Shelley…

Still waiting

It’s been over 100 days since I returned a faulty vehicle. Moneybarn are meant to refund me pay compensation and remove the account from my credit file. Still no refund no communication and I still have and account showing a missed payment that is entirely false as the month they say I missed a payment they paid me a refund due to the faulty vehicle. Unbelievably bad company. Avoid at all costs

Unlike other car finance companies that…

Unlike other car finance companies that understand sometimes you fall short money barn doesn’t give you a chance by re attempting a few days later! Was out of work for a month due to illness and money barn didn’t give a shit, currently trying to refinance my car through another company. Their staff are rude and hard to understand. Wish I looked at the reviews before using this company

I would completely avoid this company…

I would completely avoid this company at all cost.

Being from sa myself i find this difficult to understand because you would think and hope you'd be treated slightly better by your own people.

The staff are rude very aggressive sales staff and boy help you if you miss payment by 5 minutes. You'll be threatened and called every hour of the day.

Now when I make a complaint and furnish them with all details required to resolve my complaint they simply ignore you and claim to not have received any emails or complaints from me. Yet I have evidence to show they have read my emails and complaint.

So you ignore your customers and then go that extra mile to also lie to your customers.

When I first took out the car finance agreement I repeatedly told the sales team in wanted to keep my monthly costs for the vehicle to near £150-170 but they were so aggressive and pushed me to pay £190.

Im now trying to recoup that extra payments by seeing if I am owed high interest car finance payment but they don't respond to any of my emails.

Choose another finance company people that are more professional and listen to your needs.

For the owners of this horrific company I suggest you invest in more training for your staff because none of them are customer orientated at all.
