As I'm sure other reviewers have mentioned, the duties of an executor weigh heavily so soon after losing your loved one. There's often no clear indication of how to deal with the formalities apart from the shared experience of others. My brother and I assumed we would instruct a solicitor and, with no obvious choice, we thought we'd go with the solicitor that our Mum had used to draw up her Will. That was until we found out how much it was going to cost. £3000 + VAT (so £3600) PLUS 3% of the value of the estate. Even our Mum's modest estate (mostly the value of her house) would've landed us with a bill of around £11000! I did some 'shopping around' on the internet and every solicitor seemed to indicate fees around the same ballpark. Then I saw My Probate Partner on Google and followed the link and was so glad I did. I'm naturally very sceptical about unconventional methods (i.e, in our case not using a solicitor) but after checking out MPP's Trustpilot page, I was sure we could put our trust (and a LOT less money) in them. I had never seen a company with ALL 5-star reviews - 371 of them when I first checked them out and I use Trustpilot a lot. Safe to say my brother and I are very happy with the service we received from MPP. We chose the Enhanced Package, so the C1 paperwork was prepared by MPP for us to check and then submit to the Sheriff Court. Confirmation was granted at the first attempt and in the timescale we'd been advised to expect. My brother and I can't recommend My Probate Partner highly enough. There will always be complex estates that have to use the services of a solicitor but we reckon for most situations, MPP will be able to support you through the arcane process of applying for Confirmation without wiping out half of your inheritance!

Couldn’t have got through this process with My Probate Partner. The information of the Scot Gov website is less than helpful! They are great to deal with and clearly know how to get the Confirmation process concluded successfully. I have hesitation in recommending them.

Organisation was very quick to respond to my initial email enquiry. Very helpful regarding information required and explained everything I needed to do. From initial response to bring contacted by an appointed 'Case Worker ', everything was handled with professionalism, understanding and sensitivity!.

I thought we had done a good job at collecting information for CONFIRMATION but the guidance notes are really not great so the final stages of doing the C1 form were VERY stressful-however Probate Partner were AMAZING-I can’t recommend them highly enough to sort everything out & explain each question-I Could NOT have done it without them.

Fees also very reasonable relative to quotes received for solicitors to do the work. If not using solr you need to do the forms and submit docs personally but MPP makes it clear what you need to do and supports with any queries. Def highly recommend

Believe the great reviews. From the first introductory call right through to being successfully granted Confirmation on the first attempt, I would highly recommend this service. The team are very helpful and knowledgeable, guiding you through every step. They took a lot of the stress out of what can be a very complicated and confusing process. After a horrible experience with a solicitor I found My Probate partner and gave them a call. They took time understanding my situation and gave me so much confidence in taking control. An absolutely outstanding service. I cannot rate them high enough.

Initially My Probate Partner provided 7 free emails, one per day over 7 days to explain the C1 Form application process. At the end of the week I signed up for a 15 minute free telephone consultation, and at this point I realised that this company could help me to navigate the complex process of applying for a Probate Confirmation Certificate from the Sheriff Court.
Whilst there is a lot of information on various websites about this process, some didn't make sense, some was conflicting and some confusing. The actual 'Information Notes' to complete the C1 Form were as useful as a chocolate teapot. But My Probate Partner completely simplified the process for me. They advised what needed to be added, corrections required and the terminology that the court would expect you to use on a C1 Form. They also advised on what pieces of documentation I was required to send along with the C1 Form.
My application to the Sheriff Court for a Confirmation Certificate was approved on the first submission.
I am in no doubt that if I had tried to proceed on my own that this application would have been rejected.

Dealing with the death of a loved one and all the admin around it is no easy thing.

Online service but answered all my questions via email. Clear instructions making it easy to submit C1 form with accompanying documents to the court.

After watching the webinar we arranged a free call with Mike. We thought we’d be able to do confirmation ourselves with help from myprobatepartner as my father-in-laws’ estate was not too complex. Mike talked us through the process, then explained that due to the wording of the will and how the house deeds had been set up that confirmation wasn’t needed in the case. He saved us potentially thousands in lawyer fees and also lost out on us using his services instead as not needed.

Chose to use the guidance option to assist with my Dad's confirmation which we had partially completed but were having difficulty in understanding some of the complex language.
The guidance was far more clear than the government website and allowed us to complete quickly. Once we submitted the forms to be checked, they were viewed and returned rapidly with notes for minor adjustments.
Once completed, we sent the forms off to finalise the confirmation which took a few days and allowed us to move forward with the estate.
