This is the worst product and service of all time and yes I am talking about the new team Alice W (World of Neopets) is a rude unemotional robot and pretty sure she is AI. Neopets is dead don't give them any of your hard earned money.

Had the same experience at the other most recent review. I was hacked in the 2022 security breach but just found out about it. I gave them all the info they asked about my account (INCLUDING ORIGINAL EMAIL WHICH I HAVEN'T USED IN YEARS, so surprised I was even able to access) and they just froze me and said "being investigated by mod department." They never write you back either, it's just a dumpster for tickets they don't want to address. So disappointed in what Neo has turned into, don't spend any money here and it may be worth looking into a complaint against them with authorities in Hong Kong (currently where neo is domiciled).

If I could give less than 1 star I would. Please don’t ever use neopets. They love to block your account and don’t give it back even though you have all information they ask, what mails you used and the birthday used for the account. They want you to have access to the first email you ever used. Which can be older than 20 years and most of us just don’t have access to that anymore. People working here just get a kick of freezing your account and not give it back while you spend a lot of money and time on it. Read the rest of the reviews. It should tell you everything you need to know. Please go for a trustworthy like website. Not a shitty one like neopets.
Not the Neopets You Remember
Site has been broken for years with no sign of ever being fixed. Money earned through sale of "Premium" status goes to paying celebrities such as John Legend to use their appearance on the site.
Multiple proven instances of a certain well-known staff member cheating by spawning in expensive and unreleased items for friends/family members, who then proceeded to sell them on 3rd party websites for real money.
Numerous glitches that result in users' items disappearing and staff refusing to replace said items.
Neopets is on its last legs, and it's for the best. Do yourself a favor and do not pay real money for anything related to this site, as your money is simply lining the pockets of the corrupt staff, and not going towards maintenance of the website itself.

Jesus Christ. Don't even bother reaching out to support. This is the worst experience I've had with customer service in 2024. They'll randomly reset your password while you're logged into your account, and when you try to submit a ticket, they offer no help at all. Jessie J. doesn't even read what you write—just sends copy-paste responses and acts all sassy. Ruined my entire day. What a person.

The website is trash. They constantly roll out events that don’t work. Been playing AC for over six hours and only have been able to send 30 scores. Faerie’s Hope is broken key Quest is dead. Yet they keep releasing stupid overpriced merch instead of fixing the website. Cash grab joke.
Frozen after just under 20 years of playing (near on two decades of effort down the drain)
I am a user who has been playing for just under 20 years at this point and I've never taken much of a hiatus. I have spent hundreds on Neocash over the years alongside having been a Premium user for over a year. I was a very wealthy user - I had items worth billions, a very high end battledome set, real word pets including one which was a year one.... I'm devastated. Next to two decades of work down the drain just because I apparently abused a glitch. I have apologised for any potential glitches I might have abused (anything I might have potentially done without realising) and they don't care. It seems like such a small thing to freeze such a high end, sensitive account over. I believe people might have also been spreading rumors about my account but none of it is true. I have tried three times now to recover my frozen account but every single time they have said no including Alice.
They don't care at all whether you are honest, innocent or whatnot. All they care about is their own reputation and how they look to the public. If they think it will reflect negatively on them to the public even if you are innocent or if it is too much effort because your account is sensitive or because they will have to admit that they made a mistake they won't do anything to help you and will simply keep reiterating the same garbage response. That they have evidence of it and blah blah woop woop without ever providing any explanation. It's a biased, horrendous account recovery system.
What's worse is that their current policies are completely unjust. They force users to wait a year or two a lot of the time just based on a slight suspicion of them doing something wrong before they even consider returning their account and when they do offer to do so they aren't returning your account but rather just your username since they'll often refuse unless you agree to have all your items, neopoints, sometimes even pets and trophies erased. Nobody should EVER agree to those terms. I certainly won't be. Even if it means waiting even longer or until the ownership of the site hopefully changes hands again and the policies change. Because I know that I did nothing wrong and that anything I might have done wasn't even my fault that it occurred but either way they simply don't care about you at all.
I have literally everything one could need to have their account returned - access to the email used to create the account and the current email registered to the account, access to their neocash transaction log, knowing the current password, a list of neofriends, my last neocash trade, where I created the account... everything. They are just choosing not to return the account for some reason unknown to me.

Everything on the site is always broken especially submitting game scores that always errors out and submitting Zendesk tickets is practically useless because it’ll take them weeks to even look at it.
I Miss My Neopets
I set up my account in 2006 and was still actively using it until April 2024, when I was denied a Rwset Password request, I contacted their support team and was denied access to my account, even though I had emails dating back to when I first set up the account, and every email change that I had used, they kept asking me what my last NC Cash item was and I couldn't remember as it had been more than a year. I now can't access my neopets and the staff refuse to believe that I am the account holder, yet they keep sending News Updates to my email address.

Let's start with I am happy that there is an attempt to revitalize the site, and bring back old players. It's not something that had to be done, but one of the rare millennials with money bought the site and the rights to grow it again.
CS is understaffed, and the technical side is even sadder. There is a known glitch that people report of missing items and currency in the Trading Post - 'We can't fix anything we can't track. Sorry for the inconvenience.'
You have many users reporting the same issue. Those are datapoints to save and revisit in an attempt to fix the issue, but no, it's "We're so understaffed, we're not even pretending we're going to fix it."
There is also an issue of spending real life money an not receiving the on-site equivalent currency. But with staff being so understaffed, people are frustrated and angry - and this is after knowing that buying the currency through the site is already extremely glitchy, and having to go offsite to buy the cards to redeem.
You can't tell me there aren't millennials like myself who work in tech who would be happy to help, or that there aren't staffing companies out there you can approach to get us an initial response to a ticket in less than 3 weeks.

As an ex-dev and current security consultant, I am professionally and personally offended at the state of this site after coming back since childhood. Trust me when I say it's as bad as it comes and the mistakes make me think that you only hire interns or WITCH companies. Why would I pay for premium if the site is broken, insecure, and I might be frozen for using a goddamn VPN???? VPN is basic at this point. It becomes a cycle where your customer base won't pray for crap and you then don't improve. Make a decision of if you want to be a business or not, Neopets. Very disappointed inner 7 year old here.

The team means well, I think - however they are so underresourced that they cut corners in MANY places, including but not limited to site security; protecting users personal data, and fair consideration in support tickets. They routinely banish users from the site without evidence of wrongdoing as part of their "freeze first, answer questions never approach". In fact, their team acknowledges that the sites backend is still open and accessible by anyone with the know-how. Don't spend any of your time or money here, assuming that you value it. They definitely don't. At all.

Seit Jahren wird die Seite kaum noch gewartet oder repariert. Sie haben das Ende von Flash verpennt und jetzt ist es eine Spiele Seite, mit extrem wenigen Spielen. Jetzt gabs ein grosses Sicherheitsleck und alle User wurden gekickt. Viele kommen nicht mehr zurück. Interessiert Neopets nicht, die interessieren sich nur noch für NC und Merch. Nach über 15 Jahren werde ich wohl nicht zu dieser sterbenden Seite zurückkehren. Irgendwann reicht es!

My neopets account is over 18 years…
My neopets account is over 18 years old. They had frozen it a few years back, don't know the reason why. Something to do with the password. I emailed them a few times to no avail, but then finally emailed and BEGGED for my account back and actually attached a picture of my license to prove it was my account and I wanted to play again. It really shouldnt have been that much work for a site that's practically dead.
Anyway. back to recent times. I purchased Chomby Sushi, a rare food item that costs over 100,000 neopoints, and the food DISAPPEARED from the inventory. Purchased it again. DISAPPEARED from my inventory. Purchased it a third time. Finally was able to feed it to my pet -- it doesnt appear in my gourmet food club list!
I opened a ticket, and they basically told me it's a known issue and they were filing the ticket away, and I will not be reimbursed neopoints!!! I'm out over 300,000 neopoints!!
I had actually opened another ticket asking to be reimbursed my neopoints, and they completely ignored it.
Mind you, what does it cost the creators to add this item to my list or give me back my neopoints? I also pay for the premium membership!!!
They should be grateful I still even log onto the site because there are no games or ways to earn neopoints, let alone give them money every month. I am cancelling my paid membership after the charity corner.
