In 2016 they began a kickstarter campaign to update a 90's fps game called "system shock". They raised over $1.3 million to do this and promptly decided not to do an update, but a reboot, with the game to be released in 2018.
2018 rolls around and just weeks before the release date, nightdive give the impression that everything is fine. After the release date they finally come clean and admit that they spent most of the backers money and have nothing to show for it bar some concept art.....but insist that they will complete the game and that they hope to release it in 2020, a mere 4 years after the project started.
Sooooo, 2020 rolls around and nightdive are still wheeling out concept art as a sign of progress, they're silent on the release date and, to many backers, it looks like they've "worked" for a further two years and have nothing to show for it.
They don't engage with the backers on the kickstarter page, but rather use 'discord' where they routinely ban people who ask difficult questions like "where is my money"? and "where is the game I paid for"?
The title says it all, dishonest and disorganised. Avoid this company!!!
