I researched solar installation companies over 6 months including the technology. There are so many dodgy companies out there you really need to get it right. That brought me to Heat Electric. You cannot go wrong with this company.
I dealt with David the MD, brilliant advice, top fella, totally honest, reliable and knowledgeable. Steve the Solar electrician fitted everything perfectly. The team left everything spotless after install. They did an old pitched roof and a flat roof extension. We had none of the issues you read about with other companies. Always answer every call and sort any issues straight away. We went with 12 Eurener 515kw panels, with a Tesla Powerwall 3. Not had an electric bill since April install and selling back to the grid covering standing charge and more. Family run company and cannot recommend Heat Electric highly enough. Honestly, don’t waste your time - choose this company for your solar. You won’t regret it.

Fit was great but been running them for 2 winters now. Mega expensive, and rads in 2 rooms just aren't big enough and rooms don't get hot. Took the rad from my garage and added to my bedroom just to ensure the bedroom is warm. Wish I had kept my gas central heating and looking at a new boiler as we speak.

Had new radiators installed in May 2021. The app to control them stopped working in Feb 2025 and has only just been updated in March 2026. This meant that I could not control the heaters or set programmes. During this period, one of the heaters stopped working completely which I only realised when the app came back. I'm now told that it will cost a £160 call out fee and a £120 parts fee for a new circuit board. The circuit board is only guaranteed for 4 years! So much for the 25 year guarantee!

We really like the team at Heat Electric. The installation of solar panels and an EV car charger was our second major project with this company ( the first was electric heating ) . The electricians and office staff are really professional and friendly and do a very good job. We would definitely recommend Heat Electric.

I wanted to replace clunky old storage heaters with a more manageable system. The new radiators and towel rail have worked very well. It was a significant investment but hopefully will future proof my flat. I did not go for a control app so the installer programmed the radiators for me. I found the instructions on the Heat Electric Youtube very useful when I wanted to change the programme.

Have recently had a Sunamp hot water system installed. Would have been 5 stars but there was a delay in completing the installation. Having said that, Heat Electric were always available for contact and were excellent at sorting things out and remedying a situation. So far, very pleased with the system.

We had a solar system installed in June this year and we couldn’t be happier. We are seeing savings on our electricity bills already and we’re over the moon with the service we were given. From survey to installation, the team were helpful, neat and tidy. Would 100% recommend HeatElectric.

I would like to start this review by saying that I had limited knowledge of solar panels, batteries and electric hot water systems and the more I read about them the more confused I would be. To be fair to Heat Electric after one house visit all the confusion was put to bed. David had great knowledge of the sector and his delivery was honest and pressure free. The system we agreed on Solar panels, batteries and a Sunamp ( hot water system) was fitted hassle free and to a very high standard, the installation team were friendly, neat and tidy and highly skilled, a credit to your company. Would recommend Heat Electric for a hassle and pressure free quality installation. Many thanks

Had the heaters fitted October 22. First class product and fitting was excellent also. No issues there. Unfortunately the "Heat App" is now defunct as the company who provided this has gone into administration apparently. I paid extra for this ban now no longer use. This was one of the main attractions of me buying the heaters in the first place. The company says it is out of their hands and there is nothing they can do. Extremely disappointed with this which is a shame as everything else was first class. I understand reviews must be for something in the last 12 months but it is worth bearing in mind if paying extra for the app.

Very attentive during the sales period until the salesperson had a go at me for trying to make sure I was on the right electricity circuit for them to fit. Very busy on the road. Don’t say “contact me anytime it’s no problem then”
One remote radiator was offline the first time I tried it, it was during a heatwave so I thought I’d leave it till closer to cold weather, how naive I was. The technical person at heat electric,who also took my payment in the sales department, did their very best or so it felt like to avoid fixing the problem eg. Testing the system in the 4 days I’d told them I couldn’t do as I was away. They did eventually send me a YouTube clip for me to do it myself. Not a service I would have thought efficient during the first few months of purchase although they were very efficient in their money collecting role when the £5,500 bill was due for my 4 radiators.
I’ve now gone to Elkatherm the manufacturer who are proving to be the same by saying it's e comfort the app installer. Don’t deal with any of them if you want a stress free transaction.

From day one of fitting my Sunamp hot water heater I had problems with Heat Electric, getting someone to come out was impossible, in the end they told me it was a manufacturing problem so they basically dumped the problem with Sunamp. Eventually got the heater fixed by first Sunamp and when it went wrong again Heat Electric sorted it when they came to install my new radiators. The fitter turned up at 14.30pm and left at 11pm!!!! As I live in an apartment the noise was horrendous to say the least. Getting anybody from Heat Electric to ring you is impossible until they want the bill paid!!! I repeatedly told them how unhappy I was and my consolation was a £50 voucher!!! When they sent this iit was an insult really with how much I paid them, the problems I had and all the stress and inconvenience, however they acted as if I should be extremely grateful for the voucher.
I’d steer well clear of this company as I’m sure there are cheaper and better companies out there……

Heat Electric installed a new heating system together with solar panels and associated equipment (batteries etc).

The work was carried out professionally and with a very friendly crew of technicians who were highly informative about how to use the system. I have limited experience of their after service but that I have had, was very very promptly dealt with.

The work was completed on time at the agreed price i.e. no hidden extras.

I cannot praise this company high enough for their work, professionalism and their expertise.

Heat electric where amazing, any issues I had they responded quickly and offered solutions, when they did the quote they answered my questions, and offered a future proof solution for my situation, when it came to installation of the sunamp battery, Jay was excellent, he made sure I knew what he was doing each step of the way, made sure I knew what he was doing, asked for my inputs on certain things, and we had some nice chats, he showed me how it all works, how to set it and now I have the perfect hot water system that's hardly costing me anything. I couldn't recommend this company enough or the product they sell. 5 *s

I really cannot speak highly enough of the Heat Electric team. Never has it been my pleasure to do business with such a friendly and expert bunch of people. The advice and service provided by the East of England team has been excellent from day one, all the way through to completion. My new Thermino Sunamp 150ePV and ELKATHERM radiators were all expertly installed within about a fortnight of the initial survey, and all are running superbly well. Everything works exactly as Heat Electric said it would – piping hot mains-pressure water on demand (and plenty of it!) and three beautiful new slimline ELKATHERM radiators, each of which I can control using the eComfort app on my mobile phone. The Sunamp unit replaced an old-fashioned, worn out, inefficient (and leaking!) copper immersion cylinder, saving huge amounts of space which can now be used instead for storage, and the radiators replaced huge, ancient, ugly and inefficient night storage heaters, which have never properly worked to my satisfaction. I have now been able to ditch my energy supplier’s ultimately rather expensive Economy 7 tariff, and have now gone over to an overall cheaper daily rate tariff. Once I have had a smart meter installed, my energy supplier tells me I will be able to go over to the cheapest daily tariff on the market. So, all in all, I am one very satisfied customer with no complaints whatsoever. Highly recommended products, and a likewise very highly recommended supplier.

From the survey visit to the installation Heat Electric was impeccable.
I needed to replace costly underfloor heating in my apartment but to start with just 2 radiators. Garry listened to me, surveyed my home in fine detail and was then able to advise on best positions for optimal benefit. As well as this he then set out a full cost which would not change. But at the same time I did not feel in any way pressurised into any decision. I think that was very important for me. Everything went according to schedule. The fitters were great and very professional and ensured the radiators positioned exactly as I wished, fitted an extra socket, set up remote and explained how to run them for best performance. I love my ELKATHERM radiators, my flat is warm and they are so energy efficient. I would certainly use this company again and can fully recommend Heat Electric.

It is rare that I would ever consider any company worthy of 5 stars but Heat Electric has earned every one of them. From my very first enquiry contact, I received happy, enthusiastic, detailed, honest and reliable service. They arrived on time as promised for the survey and the installation. I was given detailed information and answers to every question I asked. I was not subjected to any 'pressured' sales tactics (something that put me off one of their competitors). They made sensible and realistic evaluations of the specific heating needs of my property. They were upfront about the lead time on delivery as each radiator is manufactured to individual specification in Germany. My radiators arrived a week earlier than promised! My heating is working very well and meeting my expectations. I genuinely would not hesitate to recommend Heat Electric (North West) to everyone who is looking to 'futureproof' their property's heating systems - you will receive excellent, honest and reliable service.

I bought 2 horizontal radiators from Heat Electric hoping to heat the downstairs of my house more efficiently and it’s the best decision I’ve made these radiators are great!
