In summary, I was onboarded as a curator by Omari MC in March 2025. His recruitment email included the statement:

“Some curators would have to review 75 songs on SubmitHub to equal payout for feedback for 1 song on our platform.”

Despite his response to my feedback below, it remains unclear why he used the exact term “payout for feedback”, when according to the platform, standard campaigns only compensate for detailed feedback if an artist allocates a budget and accepts the offer.

As a longtime industry professional, the term “payout for feedback” is straightforward and understood in the context of similar platforms. A more accurate description for Recordlabel.ai would have been “payout for offers”, since compensation is contingent on artist acceptance rather than providing feedback alone.

Despite this, the platform owner has indicated that the issue lies with my comprehension rather than the misleading language used during onboarding, as reflected in his response to this review. He then proceeded to leave a retaliatory 1-star review for my business, despite that business having nothing to do with my experiences as a user on Recordlabel.ai.

To elaborate further:

Omari recruited me to his service RecordLabel.ai as a curator based on representations about payout rates, including a comparison to SubmitHub. He wrote to me that "some curators would have to review 75 songs on Submithub to equal payout for feedback for 1 song on our platform" when trying to get me to sign up.

During my participation, I completed several submissions, expecting compensation consistent with what was communicated during onboarding.

According to the platform FAQ, standard campaign initial responses are unpaid, and detailed feedback is only compensated if an artist allocates budget to your list. This model differs significantly from the expectations presented when I signed up. Despite completing multiple reviews, my dashboard still showed $0.00 balance.

By using SubmitHub as a benchmark, they created a reasonable expectation that the Recordlabel.ai platform compensates curators for the professional act of providing feedback. This apparently is not the case outside of vaguely established "Rush orders."

While the platform removed my playlist promptly upon request, the compensation process was unclear, and there was a discrepancy between the onboarding claims and actual payouts. I recommend that other curators carefully review the FAQ and understand the compensation rules before participating, as their onboarding process feels more intent on vague comparisons than clarity.

As a longtime professional in the music industry for over two decades, I advise STRONGLY to STAY AWAY.

My concern was never that the model “differs” from other platforms. The issue is that the recruitment messaging — specifically the comparison to SubmitHub — framed compensation in a way that reasonably suggested meaningful payout for reviews themselves. That distinction between “reviewing” and “approval-only compensation” was not clearly conveyed in the initial outreach that led me to join.

Pointing to thousands of other onboarded playlists or suggesting a lack of comprehension does not change my experience. My review reflects how the compensation structure was presented to me at the time of recruitment and how it functioned in practice after I invested professional time completing submissions.

I encourage prospective curators to read all materials carefully and ensure they fully understand how compensation applies before participating.

Compensation structures tied solely to approvals can raise broader industry questions, which is why clarity during onboarding is especially important.

I do not recommend Omari MC as my campaign performed very poorly.

Firstly, they offload you to a site called "recordlabel.ai" (who thought this was a good idea) and while they claim your songs are placed by a human the result looks a lot like poor quality AI placement.

They placed my country song on a Hard Rock playlist with Linkin Park and System of a down. This actively hurts the Spotify algorithm as I am sure to get a lot of skips, 0 follows, poor engagement.
If a human made this palcement, why?

The other placements were very low engagement playlists that matched my genre or just garbage "Study with me - A playlist for academic overachievers"

I asked for a human to get me better placements or refund and they chose to give a partial refund for about half of the campaign rather than impress me with actually helping.

I ended up paying for low quality streams that hurt my engagement, save and skips rates so I would recommend other services over this one

Excelente la gente de Omari. Pagué por el servicio Gold, enviaron mi canción a curadores y entró en algunas playlists. A las 3 semanas de la campaña (que estaba agendada para durar 4 semanas) me contactaron por mail. Como los resultados esperados en cantidad de streams no habían llegado al mínimo prometido, repitieron la campaña por 4 semanas más, enviando la canción a más curadores. Luego de 3 semanas me volvieron a contactar, y nuevamente ajustaron la campaña por 4 semanas adicionales, todo sin costo extra. Finalmente la campaña concluye muy bien, con los resultados esperados y prometidos luego de estos ajustes. Los recomiendo 100%, porque cumplen lo que prometen, a diferencia de otras empresas que no lo hacen.

I really like them I got 1100 streams for 200 dollar with my lofi music. 1 dollar per stream is very good, because you know its real and this matters.

The campaign was organic. 410 streams for 400 dollar is very good rate.

The playlist promo was good, but I would wish to get more streams. It was a bit too pricey for the results... sorry

Was okay playlist streams are out. No transperancy, less streams i would go with Ads.

Big scam you are paying for playlists placements $400 to get only a handful streams.... even didnt receive a refund.

I tried using this service- and I’m being honest horrible experience. I spent money on the silver package naturally to test out the service-

They promised 1500-5000 streams organically- they delivered 235 streams - admitted that they did not deliver- proceeded to tell me that “this happens” then only refunded me half my money ??? Giving the Spotify payout - I basically gave my money away to the top 1% of artist -

Again as you see below in their response - they delivered only 235 streams and claimed since they delivered these streams they would keep half my money - what kind of business does this ???

I have written positively about Omari in the past. I have been an avid supporter of this company. We run a family record label. I have used multiple services over the years, ranging from Instagram advertising to build an account, YouTube marketing, Spotify campaigns and many of them… I would even take a wild guess and estimate I’m in the top 25% of customers with my ad spend and loyalty to this company over the years. However, over the past year, we have had some issues. I’ve tried to restart an Instagram awareness, advertising campaign and very bad communication with the customer service person I was talking to prevented this from going through plus, I never received adequate follow up from the person or even the company itself for that matter as I tried to follow up with them, but I was not able to get started. That was very surprising and a direct result of poor customer service.

So I’ve been getting emails promoting their new service recordlabel.ai playlist IQ or whatever it’s called. It’s supposed to be some revolutionary pitching tool to connect artists with playlist curators. I purchased credits three weeks ago and I have not been able to use anything and nobody is helping me or doing anything about this and it’s absolutely absurd! This system is not good at all. The search function does not accept proper artist name searches that might possibly have two initials and a full name…. And it also doesn’t accept a song title that might possibly have the word “the” and this is very frustrating. I voiced my concerns to customer service and I finally got a response from someone that said I just need to copy and paste the link to the actual song which I also did and it also didn’t accept that method either. I have continued to email customer service and they assured me it is now an iPhone glitch that was fixed and still nothing is working as I am using my iPhone.

This company is not as good as it once was, and I have lost my confidence in them. I’m extremely frustrated and I sent them advanced notice saying that I don’t want to have to review my very bad experience… And still nobody has done anything to help me and all I’m trying to be is a customer. I’m not looking for anything special. This is a sign of a company that is losing its touch with its customer base. It’s unfortunate that this is happening. Nobody is helping me properly, they are content with me having spent my money and losing my money, and quite frankly, my Customer Service emails have been basically ignored. Omari mc is going downhill.

Not a scam, genuine promotion and playlisting. But it got my track taken down from Spotify and my entire artist profile was blacklisted! Years of hard work down the drain, I don’t know how it happened but I only promoted through Omari.
This sort of promotion can work, and Omari has been in the game for a long time, but I have to share my honest experience and warn people against using this service. It’s not worth the risk.

I got a email asking me to write a review as a repeat customer. I thought I would share my honest experience.

I have ordered the bronze Spitify promotion a few times. The first one was amazing. I got thousands of streams and alot of saves and followers, although many of the followers later unfollowed.

Following promotions were not as successful. A country ballad was placed in a rock playlist where I imagine it was frequently skipped. It was clear the playlists were assigned using AI desire assurances every track was listened to. My most recent promotion did not meet the minimum number of streams and was repeated l.

I still get repeat listens from the people who saved the track the first time and Omari is definitely not a scam. I continued using them as I knew it wouldn't threaten my status with Spotify but I'm pretty sure the same amount of money spend on savvy Facebook ads would probably achieve more. I would say that if you can afford it, go for it but if it's tight financially look for another option.

Omari is my go to for Spotify promos! Their customer service and attention to detail is unmatched!

Based on the experience I had with this company I would recommend any serious artist avoids them. I reached out to them for help with getting my Christmas track on suitable playlists to promote the Christmas single I'd just released - firstly they were late in starting my campaign in line with their advertised timescales. They sent me details of another artist's campaign and clearing the whole mix up further delayed the start of the campaign. When the campaign eventually started I noticed nearly 90% of the playlists my track had been added to had nothing to do with Christmas which was a surprise seeing my track literally had the word Christmas in it's title! The playlists themselves - both the Christmas ones and the random / unrelated ones they added me to as part of their campaign had very few actual followers and of course the streaming results were paltry. From my own personal outreach to a few playlisters I was able to generate more than quadruple the streams this Omari service generated through their poor quality playlists.
I obviously reached out to them directly to complain and the best they could offer was to try extending my track's time on their playlists.....the Christmas season is so brief that their offer was completely meaningless.
I will never use them again. If you're looking for a quality playlist and music promotion service this is definitely not it but I wish you all the best if you decide to throw your money down the tubes with them.

I've been a customer of Omari MC for years now and they have always provided good service. Most importantly I don't have to worry about bots driving their playlists! Only real people are listening to my music. There are not many honest music promoters out there anymore but I'm happy to say Omari is one of the good guys!

I fell for the $500 "Facebook ads manager" package, their smallest, figuring if it worked I would scale up to a larger package. The deal was, they would set up Facebook ads optimized to drive Spotify engagement, then show me how to do that going forward. They never ran any Facebook ads, just Instagram ads. I specifically requested Facebook ads AGAIN a second time when I complained about several problems, included badly phasing audio in the ads they set up. None of those complants were ever addressed. They ran five ads, which received lots of views (of the ads themselves), but resulted in no - as in ZERO conversions to Spotify.

I ordered the Spotify promo for my last three singles. My music is very singer-songwriter and not exactly mainstream, so I was unsure if this would be effective.

Every single promo has delivered what was promised or better. I can't say enough good about this company. I even made a small mistake on my last promotion - adding the wrong song link - and they reached out to fix it.

This time, I'm trying to manage Facebook and Instagram ads. If it's as good as the Spotify promo, I can't wait!

If you're not sure, start small. I started with the most basic package, and have slowly increased, as I've seen Omari continue to deliver results.

I bought their gold package with the understanding from previous conversations with their team via email that I wouldn't get added to the same playlists as if I purchased the silver package. They lied to me and I got added to the same playlists multiple times over the course of a year when purchasing different packages.

Also, they have NO CLUE how to market different genres especially holiday and religious music. Why would you put holiday music in a non holiday playlist?

Why would you put religious music in a non-religious playlist? That seems ridiculous.

I also go by playlists per 1000 and not streams. The way it works for me is i get a ding for every 1000 playlist saves. added to my list. I can't have duplicate playlists for the same song, that won't count, and when you do multiple packages, they have a tendency to do the same playlists over and over again. So, when I purchased the Gold package after them assuring me that wouldn't happen... it did. Because of this I received +1 station from $357 spent. Highway Robbery. SMH. Unprofessional.

We've had great results! We've used Omari for years and will continue to do so.

I have used Omari along with several other promo companies to get streams for my music on Spotify. The Omari Starter package is the cheapest package I've found out of all the promo sites so I have used it quite a lot, as my main aim was just to get streams above 1000 so they will be visible on spotify. I have found that Omari spotify promotions wil start imediately & you'll get steams within the first couple of days whereas other sites can take up to several weeks before the song gets accepted onto a playlist. On my latest promotion which is called "The best Christmas Since records Began" Omari sent me a link to 54 playlists which my song has been placed on. However so far only 2 of those have resulted in streams for my song. Most of the playlists hvae titles which have no relevance to my track such as "Coldplay Greatest Hits" "Shotgun Wedding Soundtrack" & "Lost - The Pet Shop Boys" This is a bit weird! I would've hoped that a song like mine which is clearly a Christmas song would get onto a festive playlist of some sort. However Omari do provide the service that they say they will do & if your song does not meet the minimum streams they promote then you can get in touch with them & they will boost it again so I guess you can't really complain!
