Of these companies that got into power to manipulate the people of Texas. They of course increased their charges, manipulation of energy usage, 2021 didn’t happen for no reason. People living in apartments have it the worst, certain neighborhoods are red lined whole the rich pays $100 for 7 bedrooms and the poor pays over $300!

If you think about moving to Texas, please don’t, it’s nothing but corruption here, they will manipulate the meter

We purchased and moved a mobile home onto our lot in Pyote TX. An Oncor inspector came to inspect our meter box. He found one thing wrong and we fixed it. Rather than coming back he had us send him a picture of the fix and then He approved it and issued us an ESI number. We chose a provider and got things going. Oncor promised the technician would arrive on June 9th to install the meter. He never showed. I called late in the day to check and was promised he would still be here that day. Didn't happen. I called the next morning and was told they didn't know what happened but he would be here that day. He showed up about 11:00 am but did not install it because he found 3 other issues that had to be fixed. LOOKS LIKE the INSPECTOR DROPPED the BALL on this and I BLAME HIM FOR THIS WHOLE MESS.
We fixed the issues right away and called Oncor to let them know. At this point i was told I would need to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor would call me with 24 hours. Of course that did not happen. Not that I believed it would. I called again this morning and was told my installation was cancelled. I had to call my chosen provider and start all over. Now it's the weekend and there's nothing more I can do until Monday, except suffer through the intense heat. Oncor does not keep their promises of when they will be somewhere or when they will call back. If I don't do all the communication work between me and them, I'm absolutely certain they would never get around to installing my service.

One of the worst companies in the country. They subcontract all of their work out to other companies. That keeps them from paying taxes or health care for employees. Many of those companies then subcontract that work out to yet another company who couldn't possibly care less about you. They care even less than ONCOR which is almost zero. They leave trash and cables and tree limbs in your yard and leave. When you call ONCOR and complain, they apologize and tell you someone will be out in 2 to 15 days to pick up what is now trash in your yard. When that doesn't happen, you call back, and they apologize again, telling you that it will now be another 2 to 15 days. When that doesn't happen, you call back again, ad nauseum. They assume you will eventually just get tired of calling and clean it up yourself. They care less about you than a piece of gum stuck on the bottom of their shoe.

I want to say how proud I am of Oncor. It’s 1/24/26. We just had our first major storm, and by God! I’ve still got power, and it’s noon! Usually, by now, we would have lost power 12 hours ago! This excellence has to be due to your HR department and adherence to diversity and LGBTQ principles!

Our electric was taken out by a huge tree falling on a line during a storm. At around
10 pm. The guys were there, and assessed the situation, and got someone out to remove the huge tree and get the power back on by 4am. I was impressed, did not expect it till morning around 9am. Thanks to the line guys , you're amazing ❤️

Very bad power delivery. Just driving around where I live in north Texas I see polls with broken cross arms. I see transformers that have rusted out brackets holding on by just a single screw. Reporting outages never gets a permanent fix. It’s like just flipping a breaker and watching it trip again because the under lying issue is still active. In one incident I made multiple reports of a feeder that kept tripping. It went weeks tripping multiple times a day even though they won’t admit to it. Finally one day the stressed out system I assumed broke and then when they have a total of 9 thousand people without power finally they acted on it and made repairs. But not fully because the feeder tripped happened one more time after that and the power has been unreliable since with periods of quick blips and a few surges. I’ve had to remove all my essential equipment off their power grid and on to a stand by generator which should be for emergencies but since they refuse to fix the issue permanently I refuse to have any more electrical items break due to unstable power. I’ve already lost a battery back up a power supply and an air purifier. The community where I lived had a fire alarm system short out. And had several ac units break down due to the power issues. Even they said they called oncor to put an end to this but the issues continue. If a feeder keeps tripping they need to trace down the fault figure it out isolate it and fix it. But they won’t do it. So the power remains irregular.

Their customer service acts inconvenienced by you and work hard to get you off the phone with no real resolution and there was never any word on compensation for the outage. It’s interesting that the meters go down and at the end we are still charged as far as I’m aware due to the fact that the bill amount never changed and no adjustments shown.

If they would fix this I’d gladly remove the bad review or update it. But it’s frustrating that in today’s world we have to go to the point of compliant escalations and bad reviews to get any reaction from companies generally speaking.

What’s even more mind blowing is that the area here is all relatively new. So one would think new power grid new systems there should be no power issues yet it’s worst then the areas they serve with other power systems that run much more reliably than the ones here.
