7 months into a transfer out and options are still, ignoring my requests, complaints and denying receiving calls emails or recorded mail. All of which myself and HL have copies and recordings of. I have recently been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer and undergo weekly treatments to hopefully get control of my condition, the toll of fighting options almost daily now is taking a huge effect on my mental health as well as physical health, yet still the same forms are request and my new providers call and emails are ignored. I have started my case with the ombudsman and pension regulator however personally in my mind the police should be arresting the higher management who are well aware what they are doing to people as the high court has already ruled.
This company should not be able to operate in the way that it does..

Lost over £2000 from my pension with this lot. Nothing but an incompetent group of people. Keep your money away from them. Employers stop using them, please. Nothing but a bunch of scammers

Take no notice of the absurd 'positive reviews' bigging up named people, probably at their invitation or incentive. Options have obviously been dumped by Fair Pay after endless complaints from members and not a few complaints to the Ombudsman. All contributions that are being transferred to Smart Pensions are being kept in the so-called Balanced Fund which has been in the fourth quartile of similar-fund performance for almost every quarter over the last five years (source: FT). Our money has been going nowhere fast. But at least it's now out of this farce of a company with dreadful customer service and an appalling lack of transparency and once on the Smart platform, I would suggest switching to a fund with better performance asap. We'll have to see if Smart is better, do your own checks on charges, risk-levels and performance.

The most unprofessional pensions company I have ever dealt with. Disgraceful service! Incompetent staff and lost my pension exit paperwork!! Massive GDPR red flag!

A dreadful company, expensive, apathy borderline criminal, zero customer service, some departments - managers included - simply uncontactable, no response to e-mails, no accountability. Please choose another provider.

My investment was not processed for weeks and accrued zero interest or returns. I complained and received an acknowledgment that I had grounds for complaint. I was offered £100 to go away. I declined the offer and asked them to calculate the loss.
Nine months later, I am still waiting for their response.
I have written to Christine Hallett (Founder and MD) and Coral Harris (Head of SIPP Service and Admin) who did not even have the courtesy to reply.
I will continue to pursue this through the Financial Ombudsman but wanted to warn anyone considering using Options Pensions not to expect any sort of personal service or basic consideration from them. I have never experienced anything like this before.

Pretty sure this is a scam company. Keep telling me I have a pension with them, but can't tell me who the employer is! Have decided to ignore and avoid.

Just to let everyone know I am much better off and calmer since transferring my money out.

Worst company you can deal with. Have failed to make a requested funds transfer for 9 days, causing loss of interest and potential tax charges. Worst financial company I have ever dealt with

Impossible to transfer out. 5 months and counting. Each time you ring there is a new hoop that you have to jump through in order to potentially get your money out. They say they will do the things that they are supposed to do on the phone but then never do them. I am dissatisfied with their service.

Given all of the negative reviews about Options Pensions, I thought I'd post my experience which to date has been nothing but positive.

Yvonne has been super helpful in transferring my SIPP from H&L and to set it up on IBKR. Agreed, sometimes the communication could have been a bit quicker, but overall my interaction with them has been great and they have provided solid service to me.

This company has the very worst customer care. Tried to close my investment but this alone took one month. Now I am asking for a review of the fund performance but they will not release this. Look at their reviews and check out their Google rating. They do not care about the customer, do not answer calls, pass you from department to department, fob you off. They cannot even answer their critics of which there are many.

I've tried multiple times to open a SIPP with these people as I wanted to use the IG trading platform.
However, they refuse to answer the phone.
What are IG doing hooked up with this outfit?

Its so difficult to get a response from the customer support. I have tried contacting them so many times to open an account. They take more than a week just to repond for simple queries. If this this the customer support before opening the account, i really dont know what to expect after opening the account.

I have been trying to access my retirement funds from this company for months now, and they continue to provide excuses as to why they cannot process my request. The last email from them said it would take 8 to 10 weeks to process. Two other companies processed by request within one month. It appears to me that they wish to hang onto my money and not provide me with my much-needed retirement funds. I would suggest not using this company for your pension.

Daniella has been most attentive . It would have been better to get the valuation from Aegon a little quicker , but I'm sure this was not Daniella's fault. She's done a good job for me.

In handling my questions and requests in respect of my pension the Options Team have been very professional, easy to communicate with and timely in their feedback

If I could give 0 starts I would.
It has taken over 8 months to get the funds from my pension transferred over to my new fund, and that was only after threats of contacting the Ombudsman. Options have appalling customer service, emails go unanswered for months. After 6 months I was told a form hadn't been filled in - they waited 6 months to tell me this! They told me they hadn't received forms from my current pension fund when the pension fund had posted and emailed to them on more than one occasion.
When I had my pension with them I decided to place a lump some into my pension pot, this took them over 4 months to transfer into, even though they were constantly chased to find out where the money was.
Terrible company, do not use.
