Our dining table and chairs arrived…

Our dining table and chairs arrived today and I cannot complain. Lovely delivery guy who helped with assembly. The table has a beautiful aged patina which is exactly what we wanted for our rustic barn conversion aesthetic and they gifted us some lovely cream cushions for the chairs which was a nice surprise!

Placed our order in April

Placed our order in April, we chose a matching set of Farmhouse Pine chairs and the grey cushions to fit with them, lead times expected. They are absolutely beautiful and we are really glad not to have bought new and support a cool initiative. Thanks 🫶

Frankly, false advertising

Waited over three months for my delivery (having confirmed several times that it was in progress), only to be told that the order was cancelled with a refund that should arrive soon. No reply to my first communications, including those via social media platform, and only when I was forced to mention further action did I receive a response saying that the refund time was longer than that stated in the communications … absolute

As a business dedicated to rescuing and rehoming furniture that would otherwise go to waste, our model is very different from conventional retail.

Every order relies on carefully sourcing, sorting, cleaning and matching reclaimed pieces, together with specialist delivery handling and naturally there can be variations that are outside of our direct control.

During a period of wider operational change, we took the difficult decision to proactively cancel a very small number of orders whilst continuing to fulfil those we remained confident could be completed.

Rather than continue asking customers to wait, we believed it was more responsible to contact affected customers directly and cancel their order where applicable.

Whilst we appreciate this was disappointing, we firmly believe it was the right decision.

Information regarding these operational changes was shared through both our customer communications and on our website throughout this period. Refunds are processed via our third-party payment provider and can take up to 21 working days to appear, depending on the customer's bank, as communicated throughout the process.

As a small family business, we're continually working to improve the experience we provide while staying true to the sustainable principles on which the business stands for.

We're incredibly grateful to those customers who have supported us with patience and understanding throughout this period of change.

Deeply disappointed with this company and their false promises

Ordered in good faith in April with a 6-12 week lead time, no proactive communication what so ever and when I chased they said that they’ve changed this delivery company and can’t fulfil the order!

I wa advised a 2 day turnaround for a refund, 2 weeks later still nothing other than an email that is a copy and paste job from AI saying it can take 21 days!

I’d steer well clear and it’s su h a shame as they look to have a good business model, such poor communication and ethics though

So disappointed!

So disappointed!! We ordered some Wiltshire Slat Back Chairs, that had been advertised on their Instagram page. We were so pleased this company had some, even though the delivery could be as long as September, we ordered in June, but were willing to wait.
Unfortunately my husband received an email stating our order had been cancelled.
Why ?

Why advertise an item when it’s not available !

Also not had a refund !

Wish I’d read these reviews before placing an order !

Probably not everyone’s first choice as…

Probably not everyone’s first choice as the furniture is essentially second hand and the delivery time is definitely not Amazon Prime! but we were planning ahead so the time didn’t really affect us. It was about 13 weeks in total I think when they arrived. The chairs are all really good condition and are happy to support a eco aware business.

Do not buy from here.
I ordered a table and chairs in October. 12 week delivery window came and went with incredibly poor communication. After many back and forth emails my order was finally cancelled and I was issued a refund in April (I was not given that refund!).
I have then had to go through my bank and thankfully they have got me my money back. This was with no help from outlet house as they didn’t respond to the bank which meant I had to wait longer.
So in summery they have had my money from October 25 and I haven’t got it back until July 26.

I would also ignore any responses from outlet house as they are good at sending polite emails but a terrible company and honestly I think you are putting your money at risk buying from here. I have always tried to support small business which is why I ordered from here but I can honestly say not one good thing. I also feel particularly frustrated as not only as I have not been able to afford a table during this time because they have had my money for so long I have lost out on the interest of this I would have gained if it was in a savings account.

Where an order has been cancelled, a full refund is processed back to the original payment method. Once a refund has been submitted, the return of funds is handled by our third-party payment provider and the customer's card issuer and we don't have the ability to manually intervene in that process.

If a customer experiences any delay in receiving a refund, we would always recommend contacting their card provider, who is able to trace the transaction and advise on the quickest route to recovering the funds where appropriate.

Very satisfied with our chairs and…

Very satisfied with our chairs and cushions. We were kept up to date throughout the waiting lead time. Delivery chap was on time and very friendly. He carried them all in for us and made sure we were happy before leaving.

We chose Outlet House due to their eco…

We chose Outlet House due to their eco credentials and are especially pleased that we have been able to support a small business whilst completing our 1920’s cottage Reno. The chairs add so much character and we would never have chosen to buy new, so very glad we found them! Cathy has just asked me to leave my feedback here and I really hope this helps! We would definately recommend, despite the time it takes.

Ordered a circular table and 4 chairs…

Ordered a circular table and 4 chairs from Outlet House in January, the lead time was quite long, I think in total it was about 18 weeks until it was all delivered, partly due to us being abroad which added to the delay but they were very accomodating. The table has been great and the chairs look pretty much new. Very pleased and more than happy to leave them a good score.

No clear lead time on our order, no transparency with current status, nobody to talk to on the phone. After 6 months of waiting they cancelled our order and gave a refund. Which we have yet to receive.

As outlined on our website, every order is individually sourced from reclaimed furniture rather than selected from warehouse stock.

Over recent months, we've experienced an unusually inconsistent flow of suitable reclaimed furniture coming into our sorting facility.

Whilst the volume of furniture entering the reuse market naturally fluctuates throughout the year, the more significant challenge has been that a higher proportion of pieces simply haven't met the quality or matching standards we require for our customers.

Because we don't manufacture furniture or control what becomes available for reuse, there are unfortunately occasions where, despite continually sourcing and sorting incoming batches, we can't confidently complete every order within a timeframe we feel is fair to continue asking a customer to wait.

Where this is the case, and having reviewed the batches due to arrive over the coming weeks, we believe it is fairer to proactively cancel the order and issue a full refund so the customer is free to purchase elsewhere rather than continue providing uncertain delivery estimates.

We believe a proactive refund is a fairer and more transparent approach than continuing to ask customers to wait longer.

Refunds are processed immediately back to the original payment method following cancellation, although the time taken to appear can vary depending on the payment provider.

If a refund has not yet appeared, we are always happy to investigate this directly.

We remain committed to communicating openly with customers and making what we believe is the fairest decision whenever circumstances like these occasionally arise.

Whilst our approach differs from traditional retail, we remain committed to continually improving the experience without compromising the sustainable principles that define Outlet House.

The idea is great, no execution

The idea is great. The execution is…. Well non existent.

Ordered table and chairs in January with a 6-12 week delivery time frame. Checked at 9 weeks and was told it would all still be on time…

10th April I emailed again…told no update.
One week later told order would be ready at the end of JULY. Annoyed but fine.

June 29th… cancelled my order because they can’t fulfil it!!!!

Absolutely ridiculous. Clearly grown too fast and can’t sustain or fulfil.

Editing to add- customer service has been totally fine, and I don’t think it’s a scam at all. Just not a working business model right now, but hope they can get it sorted!

EDITING AGAIN. 2 weeks has passed with no refund or response!! Maybe I am questioning their ethics at this point…

Whilst we always do our best to accommodate customer preferences, the nature of working with one-off, pre-loved pieces means that, on occasion, the right combination or pieces do not become available within a timeframe we feel is fair to continue asking a customer to wait.

Where this is the case and with foresight of the batches we have due to receive over the coming weeks, we believe it is fairer to proactively cancel the order and issue a full refund so the customer can look elsewhere.

Behind the scenes, we are continually sourcing, sorting and matching reclaimed furniture, whilst also working to expand our supply network so that even more quality pieces can be rescued and rehomed.

The vast majority of orders are successfully fulfilled, however, because every piece is unique, there will occasionally be situations where we feel a full refund is the fairest outcome rather than continuing to ask a customer to wait.

We appreciate your comments regarding our customer service and for acknowledging that Outlet House is certainly a genuine business.

AVOID! Scam

Ordered in October 2025 and never received.

Zero transparency, poor communication, and completely unreliable timelines. We were told the chairs were in stock (after 26 weeks of waiting) and would be arranged for delivery — three weeks later, nothing. The estimated delivery time initially stated was 6–12 weeks.

Our order was ‘mixed up’ with another order twice, and we were promised delivery before Christmas. When we asked for part of our order that were supposedly ready, we were told it would cost an extra £85 just to send them.

Messages were ignored until we mentioned a chargeback. We requested a refund in April and are still waiting, while being sent questionable invoices instead.

Sustainability is used as a shield for delays, but it doesn’t excuse misleading timelines or poor service. There are also concerns around credibility — the lone positive review feels dubious, and their social media presence doesn’t add up.

Frustrating, misleading, and not a company I’d trust or recommend.

EDIT - copying and pasting the same response to any negative review is pathetic and all of these new reviews are 1000% fake. Do NOT trust this company. Still haven’t received our refund and doubt we ever will.

Outlet House is a small, family run business built around sourcing and rehoming pre-loved tables and chairs. Every order is individually sourced, sorted, matched, cleaned and prepared by hand rather than taken from mass-produced stock, which means our process is naturally different to traditional retail and can sometimes take longer than customers may initially expect.

A large part of our work also involves sorting through and relocating additional furniture pieces that do not meet standards or aren't quite right for our customers, which is an important part of our sustainable approach and an often unseen part of what we do behind the scenes.

Longer lead times are a direct reflection of the way we work and as demand changes our lead times are updated openly on our website.

We have successfully rehomed thousands of tables and chairs and continue to fulfil orders on an ongoing basis. Where customers decide the wait is no longer right for them, orders are cancelled and refunds are issued accordingly.

Our social media presence has evolved alongside the business over many years. Whilst our focus has always been pre-loved furniture, our earlier content included a larger refurbishment element which is no longer a core part of what we offer today. As our services evolved, our content evolved too and some older content has been removed to ensure our platforms accurately reflect the services we currently provide. Our Instagram community has been built organically since 2017 and continues to consist of entirely genuine customers, followers and supporters who share our interest in sustainable interiors.

Like many small businesses, our priorities have naturally shifted over time.

Today, far more of our time is spent sourcing, preparing and fulfilling orders rather than creating content or actively managing social media engagement.

Any small business owner will know that the online landscape has changed considerably since we first began building our community in 2017.

Whilst social media remains an important part of modern day business, maintaining a strong online presence increasingly requires significant time, resources and advertising investment.

As we have grown, we have consciously chosen to prioritise the work behind the scenes and the customer experience, whilst continuing to share our story as authentically as possible.

Similarly, public review platforms represent only a small snapshot of any business and we have chosen not to focus our time on actively encouraging reviews or managing an online reputation strategy.

If we did choose to make public reviews a core part of our business, the picture presented online would undoubtedly look very different.

The use of words such as "scam" to describe what we do is simply inaccurate. We are a genuine business with an established website, a long-standing social media presence, a very dedicated small team and thousands of successfully completed orders.

Whilst we cannot publicly discuss the finer details of individual customer matters here, we can say that concerns raised directly with us are always addressed and resolved through the appropriate channels wherever possible.

A small number of public reviews will not always represent the full picture of the many successful orders, happy customers and completed deliveries happening every week, the vast majority of which simply go on to enjoy their furniture without ever leaving a public review at all.

Our focus remains thoughtfully sourcing sustainable furniture, preventing it from ending up in landfills and communicating openly with customers as we continue to operate as transparently and sustainably as possible.

Worth the wait :)

I had been a bit worried while waiting after seeing some reviews, especially as there weren’t any here when I first ordered early Jan but I have had a personal reply to all my emails and requests which has helped. My chairs and extendable table arrived this week and I’m really happy with them so wanted to leave my feedback. It is clear everything has been carefully selected to look like it’s always been together and I am really pleased with the quality and overall condition.

Definitely different process to the norm, but worth it in the end and the ethos is really important in today’s world so happy to have stuck with them.

Avoid - money will be taken and then delivery date will be pushed to 6 months since date of order!

Avoid! This is company is a disgrace, we ordered a dining table and chairs in January 2026, asked for an update on eta regarding delivery as they stated at the time that delivery would be 6-12 weeks. However, when asking for an update on delivery they could not provide us any information, which was not what we were expecting and found this to be extremely unprofessional as a business to not give at least an estimate date when we asked at around 8 weeks since we ordered. Now at week 10 - we get an email stating order will be delivered in July !? We have requested our money back, not yet heard anything back but will press on until we get a refund. Highly suspicious of this company for taking customers money without guarantee of getting your items or providing any updates when asked. Completely agree with all the negative review below, do your self a favour and spend your money elsewhere. Disappointing to say the least.

Outlet House is a small, family-run business working with pre-loved furniture, where every order is sourced, sorted and matched by hand.

Over the past few years, we’ve successfully rehomed over 30,000 chairs and 9,000 tables, preventing them from ending up in landfill.

Representing a very high volume of completed orders.

Over many years we have not historically operated on public review platforms and this profile was not set up by us.

Our approach has instead always been to focus on explaining our process clearly and working directly with customers.

A small number of recent reviews can therefore give a misleading impression when viewed without that wider context.

We also don’t actively request or prompt customers to leave public reviews and will continue to take that approach.

Our focus remains on the work itself and direct communication with customers, rather than building a system around public review collection.

As a result, positive experiences are far less likely to be reflected here compared to businesses that actively build review requests into their process.

We do hold a large volume of stock at any one time, however it consists of individual pre-loved pieces rather than fixed, pre-prepared sets like those found in mainstream retail.

Orders are fulfilled by sorting, matching and grouping suitable pieces from what is available as batches come through. These can all vary in size, condition and detail.

This means that while some orders can be completed very quickly from existing stock, others can take longer depending on how pieces can be matched into the specific quantities required at that time.

Our lead times are therefore given as estimates and can occasionally extend and we update customers directly and our website where this happens.

We continue to fulfil a large volume of orders on an ongoing basis, the vast majority without issue.

Where customers decide not to continue waiting, we arrange for orders to be cancelled and refunded accordingly.

This way of working won’t suit everyone but it is a more considered and sustainable alternative to fast, mass-produced furniture and something we remain committed to.

Avoid

If I could leave a lower rating I would. Ordered 6 chairs in November 2025 and have been breadcrumbed with poor excuses about why they are not ready by email between Jan and now (April). Either this is a scam or a business not able to keep up with demand. Either way they can’t deliver. Disappointing to still see them posting on social media regularly as though they are a functioning business. Avoid.

Outlet House is a small, family run business and we work very differently to traditional retail. Every order is sourced, sorted and matched by hand from pre-loved pieces, many of which are heading to landfill unnecessarily which means timings can vary depending on what comes through our batches in terms of condition and variability.

We are clear on our website that lead times can sometimes extend beyond initial estimates and where this happens customers are updated directly. We also update our website accordingly and now provide clearer month by month delivery guidance for new orders.

We do respond to customer emails and all communication is handled personally.

We don’t use automated systems or third-party customer service.

If a customer decides not to continue waiting, we will always cancel the order and issue a full refund.

In the rare event that something arrives damaged, replacements are arranged or items are collected and refunded.

We fulfil a large volume of orders on an ongoing basis, the majority of which are completed without issue and while we don’t actively request public reviews, we do deal with all feedback directly with our customers.

As with many businesses, public reviews don't always reflect the full picture of day to day orders and customer interaction.

This way of shopping won’t be for everyone but it is a more considered and sustainable alternative to fast furniture, which we are proud to be part of and we value every customer who chooses to support the way we work.

The suggestion that our business is a “scam” is not an accurate reflection of how we operate or the volume of orders we fulfil and we will always continue to operate openly and transparently.

Order not delivered

UPDATE: Company have responded on here but 3 weeks later I have still not received a reply to my email requesting a refund. If they truly cared about customers they would have contacted me via email to resolve, not make a public comment suggesting I am impatient after 5 months and zero proactive communication to explain the delay. Disgusting way to treat customers.

Ordered late October and company have just kept putting me off. Gave them a deadline which they promised to meet and then missed so have filed with my credit card company now. Avoid at all costs. Was hoping to support a small sustainable business but this is just a scam.

Outlet House is a small, family run business and we work very differently to traditional retail. Every order is sourced, sorted and matched by hand from pre-loved pieces, many of which are heading to landfill unnecessarily which means timings can vary depending on what comes through our batches in terms of condition and variability.

We are clear on our website that lead times can sometimes extend beyond initial estimates and where this happens customers are updated directly. We also update our website accordingly and now provide clearer month by month delivery guidance for new orders.

We do respond to customer emails and all communication is handled personally.

We don’t use automated systems or third-party customer service.

If a customer decides not to continue waiting, we will always cancel the order and issue a full refund.

In the rare event that something arrives damaged, replacements are arranged or items are collected and refunded.

We fulfil a large volume of orders on an ongoing basis, the majority of which are completed without issue and while we don’t actively request public reviews, we do deal with all feedback directly with our customers.

As with many businesses, public reviews don't always reflect the full picture of day to day orders and customer interaction.

This way of shopping won’t be for everyone but it is a more considered and sustainable alternative to fast furniture, which we are proud to be part of and we value every customer who chooses to support the way we work.

The suggestion that our business is a “scam” is not an accurate reflection of how we operate or the volume of orders we fulfil and we will always continue to operate openly and transparently.

Order item in October they have not arrived and company not replied to my email. They have not ph be number and Instagram has blocked communication

Awful quality. Not replying to emails to return items

We ordered chairs in July, which were delivered in November and were all broken. They were snapped and had multiple screws poking out of them.
We have been trying to arrange collection ever since but cannot get any response from customer service.
Please note this is a scam
