A good product and it needs improvements and sophistication. subscribed to this sometime ago
I subscribed to this sometime ago, but forgot about it. Now, I am using it and it makes it easy to scan photos. I am mostly impressed with the ease of use. The quality of the images are not as good as the original. I cannot delete an empty album. Though I have a full subscription, it seems to charge for some editing functions. The available editing is not much different from other free editing programs.

Regarding the empty album, you can delete it by opening the album, tapping the Settings icon next to the album title, and selecting Delete Album at the bottom of the page.
For the best scan quality, we also recommend scanning photos one at a time whenever possible, as this typically produces better results than scanning multiple photos together.
We also appreciate your comments about the editing features, and we'll be sure to share them with our team. If there's anything else we could do to make your experience a 5-star one, we'd love to hear your thoughts.
Amazing app!
I absolutely love this app! I was able to digitize over a thousand pictures from albums and also went through boxes of negatives which were turned into digital photos too. Many of those negatives were never seen by my family so it opened up a whole part of their lives they didn’t remember. Highly recommend!

Love this App!
My kids did not want any photos that I had kept for years and years. I found photomyne and tried it out and I Love it! I have scanned all pictures and made 10 albums. I have thrown away most of all my physical pictures and it felt good. My pictures came out so nice and I like how I can label each one. No more photo books. Love this app!

Easy to sort any amount of pics to be instantly accessible.
Just about to finish my major project of digitalising all my dia slides from the sixties and seventies. So happy about it. Particularly as I spend half the year in Sweden and half on Gran Canaria. Now I can watch those pics whenever I feel like it, wherever I am. But not just dia slides and photo albums. Old correspondence, too. Copies of letters where I told relatives about my life.
Easy to do and, best of all, easy to build a systematic library where whatever I want at the moment is instantly available. Yep, I´m very happy with it, indeed. Thank You!

Family memories
I stumbled across Photomyne some years ago and used it to save memories of family holidays over the years. They had previously been in albums and boxes but are now altogether on Photomyne and a constant reminder of happy events shared by everyone. I love it.

Preserving treasures for the future
As a genealogist/history student I’m very concerned about a number of collections of old photos, letters, documents inherited from our ancestors, and how best to preserve them for future people to examine.
Capturing these on Photomyne has been a very helpful resource, and is so simple to use.

Bought the app but have no access!
In 2016 I bought the app for E 4,99.
I have used it a few times since then until now. Suddenly I cannot download some (very important) photo's with I cannot scan a second time. These are photo's of my father as a child. My father passed away last year. So these pictures are very valuable to me. I scanned them Friday, but can not download them. And I have no possibility to scan them again. This week I paid another E 5,99 and thought I had acces again but NO ACCESS! I think that if you no longer have access to the app, Photomyne should make this known before scanning the photos. But now they let you scan the photo's and denie acces to get them.
Photomyne, give me my photo's instead of showing me the option for a free 3 day trial or billing again.

Misleading Free Trial That Ended Early
I signed up for the 3-day free trial and immediately canceled it through my Apple Subscriptions so I wouldn’t forget and accidentally be charged for a full year’s subscription. Apple clearly showed that my free trial would remain active until 15th July.
However, when I opened the Photomyne app on 13th July, I discovered my trial had already ended on 12th July - the same day I signed up.
I contacted customer support and was told: “We would like to clarify that once a free trial is canceled, it becomes inactive and can no longer be used.” This is not made clear anywhere during the sign-up or cancellation process. If canceling immediately ends the trial, that should be stated clearly before users cancel.
It’s also frustrating that Apple’s subscription settings indicated I had access until 15th July, yet the app ended my trial much earlier. Photomyne should either honour the advertised 3-day trial or ensure its policy is consistent with what Apple displays.
Overall, this was a disappointing and misleading experience. I won’t be using the app again, and based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend it.

We never want our users to feel misled. While the information displayed in Apple's subscription settings is unfortunately outside of our control, we recognize that this can create confusion. We're already working on making our own messaging during the trial and cancellation process much clearer so users know exactly what to expect.

Photomyne was very helpful for an ancestry project
I saw information about Photomyne on social media and decided to give it a try for a family ancestry project I was making. It worked very well! The photos digitalized with quality much better than I expected. When I printed them, they held up fairly well. A little fuzzy, but I think that was more due to "user error" than the application's technology.

Image Quality Poor because they have the new system to restore the pics with extra cost
I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM LIKE MR BEVERLY............Image Quality Poor. Extra Cost to RESTORE!
Initially, I was very happy with it. Restored my photos, added color, if desired. Photos were very clear. I am using photomyne for 3 or 4 years and was very good but now the quality of each image is really poor. If I want the photo restored, I must PAY EXTRA for "AI Magic Restore (Beta) Powered by Google Vertex AI". Not sure when that change was made by Photomyne, but I'm extremely disappointed.

Regarding the “AI Magic Restore” feature, we want to clarify that it’s an optional tool. Your yearly subscription still includes all of Photomyne’s core scanning, enhancement, organizing, and storage features, just as before. If you’re being asked to pay extra, it’s related specifically to this newer AI feature. It uses advanced external technology, which is why it carries a small separate fee - and importantly, that fee is strictly to cover the machine processing cost, not for profit.
That said, we truly hear your concern about image quality and how things feel different now. That’s not the experience we want for long-time users like you, and we’d really like the opportunity to look into this more closely with you.
If you’re open to it, please reach out to us at support@photomyne.com with a few example photos or a screenshot. We’ll do our best to understand what’s going on and help improve the results for you.

I tried the free 3 day trail to see what it was like , not disappointed but couldn’t afford the cost of paying for it as I’m on benefits but on day 3 I was charged for a years subscription, I have cancelled the subscription but still charged up until 2027, please help as I cannot afford this.

So far I LOVE LOVE LOVE this app. I paid for a year because in testing it I liked it so much. I Like that it touches up old phots as soon as scanned. You can choose to keep it or try again. I really love the “restore” function. I have old photos of both mine and my husband’s families and many or not in good shape. Using the restore function made some of the photos outstanding, almost like “new” old phots. I got something like 20 free credits, 1 credit per “restore,” and I can purchase more. I tell you, I don’t care about much in my house, as far as stuff goes, but my photos are almost everything. I’m grateful for this app and the restore feature. Makes my life easier in this regard.
