I have a home battery system that was supplied by Powervault, who have now been taken over by Powervault Plus. The new company have discontinued their support of my Battery and disowned any guarantees suggesting I connect to it by LAN. Unfortunately I was in Australia at the time they shut down their cloud support leaving my battery with no charging caperbility, which although I can connect them to a local area network at home they will not force charge and basically dead. I have contacted Powervault Plus by phone and Email with no responce from them. Now for the local tip!

I have to agree with the other one-star reviews, as 3 times I have emailed about help for a local view of my system, and each time no reply.I even tempted them with 'how about a new battery', and even this did not elicit a reply.new company? I suspect an old one very soon. Apalling non-service.

Powervault ltd has been taken over by a new company named Powervault plus Ltd. They have ended any warranty help and cloud internet access. They are a very poor company to deal with I would suggest staying well away from them there far more reliable companies out there.
Warning, Basically the company ditched all P3 customers service under warranty
I purchased a Powervault 12kw system 4 years ago with 10years warranty UK company and 24/7 monitoring.
Tuesday All Powervault customers received an email from Powervault + who have taken over the name after Powervault went into receivership.
The letter basically advised they have no duty to honour warranty or support or monitoring.
So we will turn off everyone’s Battery system in 3 days time as they won’t be safe to use without monitoring.
But after you have binned your £7k system we would be happy to sell another Powervault + system 🤬
Really,Would you want to trust this company as we did. They didn’t even look at offering a monitoring system with a charge to cover costs to enable our systems to continue to work.
I have Tesla installer calling Friday.
Don’t risk your money like we did.
P3 support ended with 3 days notice
P3 support ended with 3 days notice. I know that the original company went bust last year but ceasing support with such a short notice period 3 days is terrible PR. If this is the new company going forward how will it treat its new customers?If you are going to spend a lot of money, I would avoid. If they went bust once then I suspect it could happen again and you are then left with a lame duck
This is the Worst Behaviour of a Company I have ever Experienced. Can't be Legal.
Just received an email from the successor company to the original Powervault company informing me they will no longer to supporting systems bought before they took over the business and assets and they will be shutting all these systems down remotely on Friday. 3 days notice and no alternatives offered.
Do NOT buy a system from these people, you will regret it.
I paid thousands for this system. I own it. How can they be allowed to remotely shut it down, surely that is illegal.

Our installation of solar panels, heat pump and battery is working to my expectations.
Will not respond to service calls
I logged a fault with our system in October. Other than the automated response, I heard nothing. I have chased them up many times, as has our dealer and they will not even respond.
I found out later that they had gone into administration, but this leaves me with an expensive piece of kit with a useless ten year warranty. If they even acknowledged me trying to contact me or offer to replace the faulty part for a fee, I could take it, but to be ghosted for 5 months in unacceptable.

Following a power outage we were very impressed with the technical support offered and the care to make sure we had regained the excellent service we have come to expect from these battery units. Very happy customer.

The problem is still not fixed.
We had to replace our P3 with a P5 because the P3 was showing problems. This cost over £5000. The new battery often drops down to a low power mode, or does a software update. This means we have to use expensive electricity from the grid, and also means we cannot export electricity when the price is favourable.
Make Sure supplied with the correct size inverter
My 20kwh Battery was supplied with the wrong size inverter so it’s not charging enough during the off peak tariff. This means I am losing money everyday. The fault could lay with the installer but I would have thought Powervault would have picked this up and corrected it before supply. It is going to be changed to the correct size but because of the PowerVault takeover this is taking longer than it should.
Do not make the mistake of installing a battery outside. Cold weather less than 3 degrees adversely affects it and again the way it performs to protect itself will cost you money!
I’m waiting for all this to be put right.
The overall performance once the correct size inverter is fitted I’m sure I’ll be happy with.

Powervault went into administration in Nov 2025. There is talk of them possibly restructuring and setting up a new entity called Powervault Plus Ltd - but beware for now as there's no guarantee they'll continue trading under this name or able to provide support for any new products.
OFWAT continues to travel in the broom wagon.
Everything works as expected, but the electricity companies don't connect to smart meters in remote locations. The connection system uses dark ages technology in the 21st century. Current systems are not fit for purpose.
In an Internet world connection shouldn't be an issue.
