Wasteful packaging…
My son has been ordering meals for the last few weeks. Generally happy with the quality of the food but I find the fact that they don't collect the boxes or ice packs very wasteful. Packaging says to recycle but this is no way compensates for the cost of producing these boxes or the plastic waste created by the ice packs. Have told him to stop ordering unless the company changes their policy.

Prep Kitchen has been a game changer for me. As a busy mum, I was looking for something that’s both convenient and genuinely tasty and they absolutely deliver on both. The meals are delicious, and it’s such a relief knowing dinner is already sorted for the week.

The meals are amazing and the available choices is incredible and impossible to get bored of the same meal. The portion sizes and taste are amazing and as busy professionals enjoying these meals at dinner time is hassle free and very convenient and we chose high protein low carb which are very tasty.

Superb food, excellent customer service.
The food came exactly on time with ice packs in the box. The food is very tasty, all the macros are on each meal which is very helpful. Callum gave me a ring as a courtesy call to check in with how I found the food. Really friendly staff and great customer service. I now plan to use prep kitchen for my first bodybuilding competition, the high protein and low calorie options make cutting weight easy. I’m a very happy customer.

Been using Prep Kitchen for a number of weeks now, the main meals are fantastic, and the quality of protein is better than any of their competitors. Had a damaged tub in my first order, which Sam kindly sorted for me. Only let down is the overnight oats, flavour not good and served in an oversized tray, which isn’t needed.

Definitely not freshly made
Definitely not freshly made. One of the meals had a stinking smell and we had to bin it half way as the taste was very poor. The portion sizes are ok but they are not fresh with extremely poor taste. You will notice that they don't show the customer reviews of each of the meals on their website when you order. Two of the meals had a very short expiry date (with 2 days) and this further reinforces that these are not freshly made! Stop deceiving the customers. If you get ready meals from supermarkets, they are much more fresh and delicious with expiry date normally up to 5 days. You don't have to order in bulk at supermarkets and they also sell quality made branded meals (e.g. Charlie Bigham) which is much lower in price given the quantity and tested for taste. Not recommended. Fortunately, it was my first order and they gave me 50% discount with free delivery but even after this, their food is not worth it! Aggressive marketing and deceiving photos of meals made me order it.

A meal arriving with an off smell and poor taste isn’t acceptable, and we understand why that would lead you to lose confidence straight away. We take food quality and safety seriously, so this is something we’d want to look into properly.
On freshness, our meals are prepared fresh and chilled (not frozen), which is why shelf life can vary depending on when your order is placed within the production cycle. That said, receiving meals with only a couple of days’ shelf life isn’t the experience we aim to provide, and we appreciate you calling that out.
We also take your feedback on taste, value, and overall expectations seriously, it’s disappointing to hear the meals didn’t live up to what was promised.
