The work was done efficiently and thoroughly, but I deducted 1 star because they were understaffed.

Very pleased with the goods and service provided by Protyre, surprisingly in a way as when I first turned up for my allotted time I was given apologies as the tyres had not arrived due to a road accident on route. However the staff dealt with it superbly arranging to contact me and reschedule as soon as delivery was received, and all was complete later in the day.

Left my car for repairs after they failed my mot. I was told the price is £500. I then got a call to say that when they failed my mot, the part they didn’t look at wasn’t logged, therefore, it’s going to cost an extra £210. We had no option but to agree. We had no means of transport and didn’t have the funds either! Had to get a family member to do th payment agreement on my behalf.
Was told several stories about how long it would take. Had doctors and dentist appointments the following week.
Left it on the Thursday, told it would be ready by Friday. Called Friday, said the wrong part had been delivered from their supplier, they have to reorder, car should be ready Tuesday. I explained that I had a doctor’s and dentist appointment on Wednesday from 8:45.
Called Monday to ask if we could collect the car, was told it’s not ready because the car before mine was still on the ramp and couldn’t be moved because the part that they had removed to replace wasn’t delivered, therefore, our car couldn’t get mot’d.
Meanwhile, I’d spent nearly £90 on Wednesday on taxi’s to my appointments.
Eventually, After ignoring several calls all morning from Jack, he’s collogue answered my call saying Jack has gone home with a toothache and he would check. He called me back saying I can collect my car. I eventually got my car back on the Friday afternoon .
The paperwork given to me was a new MOT certificate, Passed.
I then emailed and asked for an invoice stating what the £710 was charged for and a breakdown of costs.
Haven’t heard from them since.

Absolute worst customer service. Sickness can’t be helped, but the company rep refused to help out in any way when he phoned at lunchtime on the day the car was due to be repaired (booked in for 8.30) and was already at the garage…. just offered a date 8 days later. Couldn’t be bothered to see if any other branch could fit us in before the 8 days. No empathy, no customer service had not a care.

Put car in for MOT. Was promised it would be complete by end of the day only for the garage to shut and go home locking my car inside the garage.

After this review I received a reply from Protyre promising the area manager would be in contact yet three weeks on no calls or emails.

Don’t promise something you have no intention of doing

Very friendly and very professional

Took my car on the Monday to get the MOT done, failed on a couple of bits. So got booked in Thursday to have all the work done to pass the re test. Arrived with my car at 9am, they said we will give you a call back when it’s ready to collect. Got a call at 1:30pm telling me everything that needed to be done and asked if they should order the parts. Many hours went by, phoned at 5pm to be told that the parts haven’t turned up but will turn up in the morning so it will be done then. I then phoned them Friday at around 2pm to see it the work had been done, where I got told they will find out for me and phone me straight back. I did not get phoned back!
Fast forward to the following Monday, get a phone call saying that the tyre hadn’t arrived yet for some reason? So had to pay double to get two new tyres put on almost doubling the original quote, had that phone call at 9am. It then reaches 5:30pm telling me all the work had been done and I can come and collect the car, bearing in mind they close at 5:30 and I live 30 mins away. So how is this possible. The guy on phone seemed to annoyed by my response of I’m not going to be able to get there in time therefore I’ll have to come in the morning is this okay, where he responded with yeah that’s fine and immediately hanging up.

Will not be using again!

0 stars, still a week later waiting on proper results of the MOT an itemised costs.
No available mechanics, all off sick.
They don't answer the phone or call you back.

Jack was very helpful and friendly, invited to a 6 point check always trust their knowledge.

Very good service, quick and reasonably priced tyres.

Brilliant customer service

They replaced 4x tyres and checked my alignment. The team worked professionally and returned my vehicle timeously. The receptionist kept me appraised of the progress and processed the documentation and payment in an amicable; efficient and professional manner.
All in all I am pleased with the service I received and recommend their service without reservation.

Overcharged by a mile! Thought the price seemed high so double checked by pricing with another garage and it turns out I was charged over double. I have used this garage for years and never had a problem so didn't really think about it until after I had agreed the work (so my own fault for being trusting). It turns out the management of this particular branch has changed. It seems not for the better. When I questioned the manager, thinking it may have been an honest mistake, his answer was simply 'you agreed the price and we are a premium company so charge premium prices'. When I said ' over twice the price??' he just shrugged. So in short, they have lost the work on all of our vehicles.

I was able to get a same day appointment, and the team were ready for me. The job was done and the car brought to the door of the waiting room. All very easy.

Arrived at garage to be told that my car can’t be booked in today. After a bit of back and forth I showed them my booking confirmation, then they finally looked at the bookings they had and said that I should have been called to say it had been cancelled. No free bookings for at least a week, went elsewhere. Shame as it’s just down the road from me, would consider driving further for better customer service.
