Protyre Autocare - Poole Barter Road Reviews 

Very friendly reception staff. Took car in for 4 new tyres and an air con recharge. All done in a timely manner. Was told that there was now an issue with the air con - it automatically switches off when you turned it on. The air con worked in the minutes before the car was left at the garage, but was no longer working. Was told that the recharge would not have caused this auto switch off. Was told the Manager would call the next day to discuss as it was a technical matter. Still waiting on the call back, over a week later.

they had to do a repair on my AC that was working perfectly. They couldn't do the repair and now the AC doesn't work at all. And they told me to go to a specialist because they don't know how. That's after they tried and broke my AC.

Brought my little Pixo here for a last minute MOT. Called on a Saturday morning and was able to book an appointment for Monday.

Google maps took me to the wrong road. Gentleman at Protyre directed to the correct location.

MOT whilst I waited and a complimentary coffee.

Quickly done, no messing around.

I will definitely be using porters again.

Good price and great service. Replaced all 4 tyres and had the alignment and balancing done in record time. Have used them before and will use them again.

These guys repaired my car after MOT failure super quick! I use my vehicle for work so was most impressed!!

Despite booking online for two new tyres and wheel alignment, this branch carried out an MOT on my vehicle without my authorisation. Due to their internal failures and lack of communication, the requested work was not completed and my vehicle then failed on the same tyres I had arranged to have replaced. Carrying out unauthorised work is unacceptable and demonstrates a serious lack of professionalism. This caused unnecessary inconvenience and wasted my time. I would not recommend this branch.

Return to garage to have the 4 new tyres after getting another garage to loosen the wheel nuts??
Appointment was 11am. We arrived 10.30. Advised 1 1/2 hour wait. One young lady in front of us. Phone number taken.
We returned 2 hours later to find our car with no wheels on at all....
4 other jobs had been done before our car even thoughb9ur car was 2nd time.lucky and ina booked time slot.
There was no where to sit as all the other car owners were there.
Utter chaos.
Finally car ready 3 hours later.
Total lack of respect and no customer service for paying customers.

Used for mot, booked me in same day, all done within time slot, counter staff were polite, professional

Arrived and was greeted by a very polite assistant, very efficient . This is my 2nd year at protyre for the mot and will be back next year.

Husband sat and waited 4 hours, before being told they couldn't remove the tyres. Returned home in verwood. We had to attend this branch as had the tyres. Our local branch only had 1. Waste of time. 5 hours in total..including travel to and from garage.

Return to garage to have the 4 new tyres after getting another garage to loosen the wheel nuts??
11am was our appointment. We arrive 10.30. Advised 1 hour and a half wait. One young lady infront of us. Phone number taken.
We return 2 hours later to find our car with no wheels on at all....and 4 other jobs that had been squeezed in between our booked slot.
2nd time lucky I said !!!
The manager advised the car wasn't ready.
There was no where to sit as all the jobs done before our car, owners were sat in reception. So went outside.
Utter chaos.
Finally car ready 3 hours later.
We leave the garage very angry and frustrated with our 2nd bad experience of complete time wasting and total lack of respect for us as paying customers.
We get as far as ferndown and the tyre pressure gauge light comes on....low pressure....
We go to our local Pro tyre in Ferndown, amazing team, friendly, helpful and listen to their customers. Used many a time and love them. They see the car in its time slot, talk to you, offer refreshments, explain what they have done, you pay and leave.
They checked the car over throughly for us, finally getting home 4 hours after leaving home.

I have several questions......

1. As a new customer to the branch why should we be told 1 hour and half, 1 lady infront of us and returning 2 hours later to be told not 1 tyre had been replaced??? Especially as this was the 2nd attempt by the garage to change 4 tyres.

2. As a new customer having to return to a branch miles from home.... why weren't the tyre delivered to our local branch??? For the 2nd attempt to have 4 new tyres replaced.

3. Customer service is zero.....lied to multiple occasions by the manager, ignored while he was on the phone and no apologies.

4. We had to go and investigate ourselves to find out what was going on. No communication and complete lack of customer interpersonal skills.

5. Why give a time slot booked for your car and then 2 hours later, you have done 4 other cars and done nothing to the car you should of been doing. No respect or communication. Awful.

6. To stand in a waiting room and watch other people getting there cars back and you have no seat and your car hasn't been done. Makes you feel like shit, irrelevant and forgotten and non important. Especially as you were told your car was next in and 1 1/2 to.collect car. Double that time. Fuming.

Hence I would not recommend the Protyre in Poole. We have had 2 horrendous visits to get a simple job done. We have been made to feel non existent and irrelevant. Customer care and quality zero. I cant comment on work manship as we had to return to our local branch in ferndown to check the job done.
5 stars Ferndown you are miles better.

0 stars Poole we will never return. You had 2 chances and both were horrendous experiences.

9 hours to get 4 new tyres......would you recommend them

booked in for monday for 1 tyre, i was phoned on the morning to say that not enough staff had turned up so I would have to re-book, I re-booked for the following Saturday at 10.00. Once again there was a staffing shortage issue, my single tyre took two and a half hours. On top of that I was told that the Tyre I had ordered on the protyre website was the wrong size but lucky me! you had the right one in stock. When I get home I see that the tyre fitted is lower in price than the one I paid for yet no mention of a refund of the difference.I have used Bathwick tyres in Southbourne and Poole for many years but I don't think that I will ever use protyre again.

Professional, efficient and clear about the process and the time it would take.
The coffee was good too.

My scheduled appointment was significantly delayed due to the prioritization of walk-in clients. This resulted in my waiting until the facility's closing time. It appears that the service order was influenced by the perceived value of the clients' vehicles, as a subsequent walk-in client with a high-end automobile received prompt service for the same tire-changing requirement, while I, with an older vehicle, experienced a prolonged wait. This level of service is highly unsatisfactory and unprecedented in my experience.
