We looked at a number of suppliers but the reason we chose Paul was not because he was the cheapest but he gave us the best advice, responded quickly, arrived promptly and did a great job.
And very friendly and helpful.

Having just bid farewell to Paul and his trusty assistant Lee, I am taking time to write this review immediately.

A) Because they deserve it and I’ve just had an amazing, bang-up job, as quick as a flash and with barely a trace that they’d ever even been here.

B) Because mean people keep lying to Paul and telling him that they are going to write him up a review and then fail to deliver.

I hate quitters.

These guys battled their way out of central London to come up to my spot in Cambridgeshire at the back end of the working day on a Monday, having only spoken to Paul on Friday to enquire about the job.

Turned up, good as gold. Got the kit set up in no time and were rattling through the windows at a rate of knots.

Hour and a half turnaround time, which includes the time we spent chatting, which was thoroughly enjoyable.

Turns out me and Lee both like a bit of Pink Floyd. Not so much Paul but he was very noble about it.

Super-pleasant guys, clearly not their first rodeo as they were in and out like the SAS.

As with most trades, there’s plenty of people to choose from no matter what it is that you want doing.

Take it from me, you won’t be sorry with your choice should you go in this direction.

Just as importantly as everything else I’ve mentioned, the price was super-competitive and in conjunction with a 15 year warranty on the materials and labour, I really can’t see what anyone else could possibly want.

If you want it done quickly, efficiently at a good price by a couple of decent blokes, look no further.

I sent a message to Paul and he reverted immediately. He was able to provide pictures of other recent jobs and help us decide on which film was best for our needs. He booked in the job very quickly and did an excellent job - we are delighted with the work. Would highly recommend!

Having seen these window films all over social media, I wanted to have them fitted. I looked for a local supplier and Paul came back to me immediately after inquiring. After sending some pictures of work done and what I wanted, we fixed a date and time.
Paul turned up, explained everything and was done in around an hour. Great job, very happy with the privacy and reduction in sun penetration. Will probably have more done.

Really happy with this company, Paul offered a professional service from start to finish and we are pleased with the results. I’d highly recommend PR Solar film, but in particular Paul - he was extremely helpful in both recommending which film we should use for our French windows and installing the film quickly and efficiently.

I contacted PR solar from there website. a gentleman cam around and measured up the windows and gave us a written quote he was very friendly and polite.
my son was with us when we the gentleman came around and we were very happy with his knowledge and also he listen to what we needed done.
within a few weeks all the work was carried out tidily and professionally and to a very high standard. my son is going to use them to do the window film on his patio doors now. i would recommend them and use them again.

Had PR solar team to complete a small conservatory recently. Am very happy with the impact of keeping it cooler in this hot weather.

I’ve used Paul for window filming on a few of my properties now and always get a good service from him. Most recently he did window filming on the patio doors which faced out onto my neighbours, so it gives me additional privacy. He has a good selection of options available, and always completes the job promptly.

Beware….Paul is a manipulative cowboy

I used the online enquiry form to get a quote to fit film to my conservatory. I was asked to provide some pictures and my contact number to be sent the quote. Paul called and provided a quote over the phone for £3k plus VAT. When asked if he accepts cash payments, Paul offered for the money to be paid into his personal account and requested the reference to be furniture instead of the solar film. When I told Paul I did not want to go ahead, he said he’s already ordered all of the materials which have been delivered and therefore I would need to pay him for these materials as he’s a small business who cannot afford this. I asked why he had ordered the materials without informing me, providing any kind of written documents or contracts, he said it’s “common knowledge” and he was doing me a favour, even though I approached him through the website. Paul then proceeded to tell a series of lies in order to manipulate me to go ahead with the order. He said he had ordered the materials based on the bespoke measurements for my conservatory when I did not provide any measurements nor did he ask for any as he would measure up on the day. However, now I did not want the products apparently he had used Google satellite to calculate the bespoke measurements even though the entire conservatory would not be visible on a Google satellite image. He threatened to take legal action by taking me to court in order to recover the costs of these bespoke materials as he wouldn’t be able to use them for another job. He also said the glue on the solar film only lasts two weeks before it goes off therefore the materials need to be used quickly. Paul then suggested that I buy the materials off him and put them on a shelf until I want to use them later on. I asked how I’d be able to use the film in a few months if the glue supposedly lasts 2 weeks and he then changed his story to say that it lasts 6-8 months if stored in a cool dark place and if I had any issues when I went to use it I could call him for a free replacement and he would be liable for selling the materials. Paul used these various tactics in order to pressure me into paying him £3k for materials I did not want, and said I made him feel uncomfortable for not wanting to pay him. Despite making him feel uncomfortable he still proceeded to want to carry out the work with “no hard feelings” and said that was the best way to resolve this issue. I said he can take me to court and we can resolve it there and that I won’t be engaging in any further contact with him. He then proceeded to ask for a £250 goodwill gesture for the inconvenience instead. Paul is an absolute disgrace and a manipulative con artist. Whilst I await my court papers I have reported this company and I’m issuing this warning to others as I’m sure I’m not the first person he’s tried this with and he will continue. Avoid at all costs!

I had been searching to have privacy window film installed in my flat and came across pr solar window film I filled on the quote form and sent it the next day I had a call from Paul pr solar I explained what it was I needed he gave me all the information on different types of privacy film he was very informative we arranged for the film to be installed Tuesday the 6th February 2024 Paul arrived on time he was so pleasant polite and friendly he did the windows explained about how to maintain them I asked Paul so many questions and he had no problem in answering them he said any problems please give us a call he tidied up afterwards I’m so so pleased I went for this option yes a little expensive but well worth every penny I’m getting use to the fact people can’t see in during the day as there is barely any natural daylight lost coming in from the inside and on the outside the film blends in with the aesthetics of the windows I do have blinds for the night time thank you so much Paul you’re a legend .
