New equipment
I would like to leave some feedback regarding the recent changes in the gym.
Firstly, I would like to commend Jamie, the gym manager, for the fantastic work he is doing. The equipment upgrades, improvements to the building, and willingness to listen to members' suggestions are making the gym feel much more like our own space and a comfortable place to train.
The new squat racks downstairs are a fantastic addition. However, the benches are currently positioned very close to the lifting platforms, which makes it difficult to work out comfortably. There is also a potential health and safety concern, as someone could easily get injured in such a confined space.
It would also be helpful to have containers or buckets for the barbell clips, as they are currently left lying around the gym, creating clutter and making the area look untidy.
With the increased number of squat racks, additional barbells would be greatly appreciated. In particular, 15kg women's barbells would be a valuable addition.
I understand that these changes are still a work in progress and that the layout may be adjusted over time. I look forward to seeing how the gym continues to improve.
One other concern is the behaviour of some members, particularly groups of younger boys. They often gather around equipment and training areas, which can make other members feel uncomfortable while working out. It would be beneficial to encourage better gym etiquette so that everyone can enjoy a positive and respectful training environment.
Overall, thank you to Jamie and the team for their hard work and commitment to improving the gym. The changes so far have been very positive, and I look forward to seeing the continued development of Puregym Burnham.

Our staff works hard to provide great service, and your feedback means a lot.
We also love being able to improve our gyms to best suit our members which is why we love hearing member feedback so we can take it on board for future club improvements. We are thrilled to learn you are enjoying the recent upgrades and please be assured that we will continue to take on board any member suggestions and implement them where possible! If you do have any current concerns regarding the current layout, or any specific suggestions for further equipment in the gym, please speak with a member of the gym team and they will be more than happy to discuss this even further with you!
Please note that where possible, we do ask that members share equipment between sets, to ensure that all members are able to get the most out of their workout. Although sometimes this isn't possible, we do ask that other members are taken into consideration when taking breaks between sets or using equipment for prolonged periods of time. Staff on site do their best to monitor this, but if you do have any queries at the time, please do not hesitate to speak to a member of the team to raise this.

Awesome Gym
Great P.Ts in this gym. Very professional and are approachable. Followed by challenging classes, box fit,strike,pump, burn, body tone and ride. There weights area, functional area and weights machines too. Plus cardio machines, free weights and kettle bells. The whole atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. The Trainers are a credit especially Tom, George, Eddie,Sam and Jamie The Manager.

Chubby Woman finally sees Body Changes :)
I lack willpower :) so I go the amazing classes at this gym at least 4 days a week. I genuinely think you won't get better trainers than Eddie, Kristian and a new person (I think Samer?) - they go up to every single person in each class and make sure they've got the right stance and doing the exercises correctly and they really push you. In a genuinely kind, inspiring way. The music's great too + they dim the lights in some classes so you can feel like you're in a club again like in your twenties :)))). I am a chubby lady who doesn't really enjoy exercise but I LOVE going to this gym and my body's completely changing because I'm consistent with the classes! BTW, these 3 names I've mentioned are the only trainers I've met, I'm sure the others are equally great!

Amazing coaches huge amount of classes…
Amazing coaches huge amount of classes travel here from maidenhead as other gyms dont have massive community spirit and such fab team/classes ..lost 10kg in 4 months ..

No support, no pin or email for 3 months
Your entire scam operation is an abomination.. 3 months I have been paying money to you yet unable to enter a the gym.. no emails, no pin, no support response, nothing.. your company has been reported to the authorities.

Puregym Burnham is my happy place. It is the most friendly, supportive group of PTs and gym goers. I do a mix of classes and free weights, and there are always people willing to help, support and encourage.

I paid for a buddy to accompany me
I paid for a buddy to accompany me, and they were unable to gain access to the gym. We tried looking for staff but there were none available at the time- ended up not getting a work out done and having to leave.

It is in the gym rules that members should not bring bags or large items onto the gym floor, but at peak times especially it can be hard to police this. However, staff on site do everything they can while we also have CCTV monitoring the free weights and are looking for new ways to combat this. Thanks, PureGym
Serious Safety Issues at PureGym Burnham Car Park
I went to the Burnham PureGym on Thursday night and parked just by the entrance. After finishing my workout, I returned to find my car had been broken into the passenger window was shattered.
I emailed the gym requesting CCTV footage for insurance purposes and only received a reply three days later. The response was essentially, “Sorry to hear about your car being broken into. We can only send CCTV footage to the police, who have to request it from us directly with a DPA form.”
What makes this more concerning is that when I spoke to other people about the incident, almost everyone had their own story about either a break-in or a car being stolen at this gym. That’s very sad to hear and shows a recurring issue.
While I understand procedures around CCTV, I believe gyms have a responsibility to protect their members and their property while they’re on site. Better lighting, security presence, or even proactive communication about these risks could make a real difference

I wanted delay my joining for 1th. of October,but the system didn’t leave it…..and at the payment they want to give my long card numbers and the security code too,and after ask my account number and sort code .So they want my all bank details ,that a bit very strange!!

In the 'Customise' section of the joining process, you will have the option to delay your start date by up to one month. If you are also using a promotional code, you will only be able to delay your start date by up to 7 days. You are not able to change your start date if your membership has already started. During sign up, your card details are taken for the initial card payment, and sort code / account number are taken to set up a direct debit for the monthly payments going forward. Loving my experience at PureGym
Loving my experience at PureGym. Danielle’s yoga class is pure magic - I walk out feeling like the queen of calm. Spin with George? Brutal in the best way. I can never hit the RPMs he calls out, but I’m pushing harder each time. His music is always on point too. James brings full energy and fun into his spin class - you can't help but smile (even while sweating buckets).
But honestly? What makes it truly special are the people. The members. Always greeting you with a smile. That warm, low-key vibe you don’t expect at a gym. Keeps me coming back.

Honest opinion of a 42 year old gym newbie
I was very nervous of stepping foot in a gym. I have lost over 14 stone and was new to any kind of movement. In November I decided I would use my corporate membership and attend one Yoga session on a Monday night. From the moment I walked In Danielle Barrett out me totally at my ease and gave me one of the best bits of advise I have ever received. She said 'don't worry about anyone else here they were all once beginners too, one day you'll be where they are'. As someone who could barely reach their toes at the time this single bit of advice as she welcomed me into the group has literally changed my life (as cheesy as it sounds) I now come to the gym 5 days a week and participate in double classes whoever I can. Zumba with Sabrina is fantastic and has me thinking of taking my ZIN soon as she has really supported me in moving more and being as good as I can be. Eddies Lift classes are phenomenal. He is honestly such a motivational instructor, he challenges me to do more and be better even when I think I cant! I have realised I like to lift heavy and whilst I don't have the courage yet one day ill get downstairs and see what I can really lift past 40kg! I've even become an early morning class go-er and do Yoga and Reggie's Pump class which is really challenging but I feel so accomplished when I walk out it sets me up for the day! Henry is also amazing! I never thought id be a gym go-er. moving to a new area and meeting people via the gym has been wonderful for me really like an adults only youth club where someone tells you to put more weight on the bar lol. I am loving all the little improvements the gym is getting to like the new changing rooms and the mats for the studio! Thank you for helping me on my weight loss journey and more importantly vastly improving my mental wellbeing! I look forward to classes everyday! :)
