I've used Qualtranscribe twice, for interviews to be translated from Twi and transcribed. I've been very happy with the quality of the texts; they're clear and well written. Also Claude is great to work with.

Qualtranscribe works wonders for my institution transcription/translation requests.

Not to mention the professional customer service experience by its employees.
The overall procedure for both transcription and translation are smooth and easy to follow.

QualTranscribe was exactly what I needed. I am a doctoral student in the U.S. and needed interviews and focus group conversations I conducted with Nigerian teenagers transcribed. I ran into issues with the previous service I used because they could not understand the accents of the kids. That led me to search for African-based transcription services and Qualtranscribe came up. From the first contact, they were very professional and personable. What an awful experience as a novice researcher!

1. Communication was awful. No responses for days on end. No presence on social media to support the lack of email and site support.
2. Transcripts were inaccurate. The use of "indiscernible" was beyond concerning.
3. Despite clear instructions the PI's were not removed in the transcriptions and the ones that were, were inconsistent and incorrect.
4. Entire sentences were missed from the transcription that would have impacted the data analysis via Nvivo for coding important themes.
5. Spelling mistakes
6. Not including clear audible transcriptions for non-verbal such as [laughter].
7. The editing and time lost for each transcript was not worth sending them.
8. The company did not charge me after my experience but honestly this doesn't negate the angish caused. If it wasn't for IRB and ethics that I had stated I was using only this company and the NDS provided I would have left it alone day 1.

Have been using Qualtranscribe for interview transcripts for about 6 months, I've been quite happy with the transcript quality, ease of uploading and ordering, and the communication with customer service.

I needed transcription performed for my in-depth interviews and I was very pleased with the quality of work that I received. The prices were extremely reasonable and substantially better than most transcription services. Highly recommended.

Worked perfectly. Very simple transcription service to use with excellent quality. The project manager I dealt with was very professional and replied promptly to emails.

The overall quality of the transcriptions is good, and would recommend for that. However, I have had an overall unprofessional and ridiculous service from qualtranscribe. I sent about 12 interviews to be transcribed mid July, and still, now end November, my file is not complete. It took 2 months for me to receive the second-half of my interviews. I am still waiting for the promised compensation, and they did not answer my last e-mails. I also realized that my last interview transcription was not complete, stopping 30min into a 75min interview, which I payed for.

If you are any kind professional, I could not recommend this service because of these issues. Unreliable.

I've had the pleasure of working with Qualtranscribe for several months. I conduct telephone interviews as part of my work writing for corporate publications. Some of these interviews are technical in nature, others involve several people on a conference call at one time. Occasionally I conduct in-person interviews in less-than-ideal situations such as coffee shops. Qualtranscribe handles audio recordings with all of these challenges -- technical subject matter, multiple interviewees, imperfect audio quality -- with ease and skill. I recommend Qualtranscribe without reservation.

My experience with Qualtranscribe transcription service was excellent! They provided timely and accurate transcription of my interviews. I was particularly impressed with their honesty. I mistakenly sent them one interview twice and they alerted me of my mistake and did not charge me for it. I highly recommend their services to anyone looking for high quality transcription work

Qualtranscribe staff quickly and professionally transcribed 25 interviews for my dissertation research in under a month, slightly later than the initial deadline they gave me, but far faster than any other transcriber I have worked with. There were a few typos in each transcription, something I wish had been checked over earlier, but overall the quality was very high. I will certainly use them again and recommend them to other.

I was overall impressed with Qualtranscribe's product and customer service. The transcriptions were excellent and accurate, and the formatting made it easy to conduct an analysis. I appreciated having access to a shared folder to upload recordings and receive finished transcriptions. However, there was an extended delay in getting a number of transcripts finished and despite a number of attempts to communicate my concerns, my emails were ignored. I do understand that businesses get overwhelmed at times, and when my emails were finally answered, the situation was resolved and I received a discount for my troubles. I recommend Qualtranscribe to graduate students who need quality transcriptions at a reasonable rate.
