Very good website, easy navigation, strong and longlasting webdesign (no need of fancy new shizzle), good quality of seeds overall, good communication, and they even give second chances on some seeds that hasn't germinated (on their discretion, which is 100% understandable) ; the amount of unsatisfied review here is not matching the global experince, from far !

Avoid at all costs!

The seeds they sold me weren't viable. I have germinated thousands of Begonias and my method works without fail, but not a single 1 out of 1000 seeds germinated.

When I informed them of this, it became apparent that they have no clue about the seeds, don't test them and just sell them assuming everything is fine. They refuse to consider the possibility the seeds aren't viable, and instead just say "sounds like a you problem, we already received our money"

Another pack of seeds was of a completely different genus.

Wir bestellen schon mehrere Jahre die Samen einiger unserer Raritäten bei Rare Palm Seeds. Immer schnell bearbeitet und gut verpackt. In der Regel waren die Samen zu hohem Prozentsatz keimfähig. Gerne nächstes Jahr wieder.

Habe vor kurzem, trotz oft negativer Bewertung Samen im Shop bestellt. Lieferzeit und Qualität der Samen lassen keine negative Bewertung zu, alles Top.
Habe meine erste Bestellung aufgrund der negativen Bewertungen storniert. Man hat mir sehr höflich deren Bedauern ausgesprochen, was mich zu einer weitern Bestellung veranlasste, und siehe da, alles in bester Ordnung.
Möchte nur ganz höflich, für alle Nörgler, darauf hinweisen, dass Samen nicht gleich Samen ist.
Besonders Exoten brauchen die richtigen Bedingungen zum Keimen und dies erfordert nun mal Kenntnisse.
Sowie sich Tiere nur unter bestimmten Voraussetzungen vermehren, ist es bei den Pflanzen nicht anders.
Mein Tipp:
Informieren, Kaufen und dann maulen.
Alles andere ist unfair gegenüber dem Lieferanten.

Ich habe am 3.11.2024 für EUR 200 Samen gekauft. Der grösste Teil des Saatgutes das geliefert wurde, war entweder ausgetrocknet oder vergraut. Nur ein ganz kleiner Teil war noch lebend. Beim Öffnen der Packung kam mir ein so starker Schimmelgeruch entgegen, dass ich die Sendung sofort nach draussen stellen musste. Auf meine Frage die Sendung nach der neuen Ernte zu ersetzen, bekam ich eine negative Antwort.

Blechnum obtusatum - special tree fern.. purchased €50 worth of spores on 21 Juli (batch 300 - 2406315) after 4 months.. absolutely nothing.. I have ample of experience and these should have germinated. However these spores where old and absolutely nothing germinated.. I feel rarepalmseeds should only offer fresh spores.. and not sell old spores that are no longer viable.. what a pity and waste of money .. very disappointed.

It’s reliable so far ALL palmseeds did germinate: Cryostachys renda (red palm), Talipot palm and several other extremly rare palms.

About the other exotic plants/cacti: the germination rate was rather low so I recommend to choose only the “new” seeds next time; this will save you a bit money.

It’s pretty expensive however if you like exlusive plants for hobby or if you are young like me and these things will get really nice over 5 years (or more) then this is worth the effort.

Ich habe dieses Jahr 2 mal,insgesamt ca 10 verschiedene Arten von Samen gekauft, gekeimt ist ausser Erythrina acanthocarpa nichts. Rarepalmseeds versendet entweder altes Saatgut als neu, oder es wird schlecht gelagert. Schade ums Geld, und nicht zu empfehlen!

Nullnummer. Absolut nicht zu empfehlen!
Von 40 Uncarinasamen (2 verschiedene Varietäten) nichts gekeimt. RPS wirbt mit frischen, getesteten Samen. Nach Reklamation der Hinweis von RPS, dass die Samen aus der letzten Erntesaison stammen und eingefroren waren. Das wird dann als „frisch“ bezeichnet und verkauft. Ich nenne das Täuschung der Kunden. RPS nie wieder.

Most of their seeds have low to no germination. Dispatch of seeds is after a month, which makes seeds already too old to germinate. They send expensive seeds dry when those seeds can't be ever dried out. Also they will send wrong seeds on occasion. I stopped buying there.

Von den Samen geht kaum was auf, von 100 Stück Schneebanane gerade mal 7 aufgegangen, von den anderen 7 Sorten nicht ein Samen aufgegangen.
Sind wohl alles andere als frisch.

J'ai effectué une commande en avril mais après plus d'un mois sans l'avoir reçu, j'ai dû contacter leur service clientèle qui a pris le temps de m'accompagner et de répondre à chacun de mes mails ; et pas par des messages automatiques comme la plupart des services clients en ligne. J'ai finis par les recevoir pratiquement 2 mois après (la faute à DHL et pas Rarepalmseeds,,,) donc là j'attends juste que mes graines germent avec impatience...

Kundenservice? Gibt es überhaupt einen, auf Emails wird jedenfalls nicht reagiert!
Lieferzeiten werden nicht eingehalten, ich warte bereits seit mehr als 2 Wochen.
Mit Echtzeit Überweisung bezahlt und es steht immer noch, warte auf Zahlungseingang.
Geht überhaupt garnicht, habe das letzte Mal dort bestellt.
Hoffe das die Samen überhaupt noch ankommen

They are scammers. I ordered 3 types of seeds, total amount was 40 USD, but 42 USD deducted from account on payment. They given me a tracking number of shipping through DHL but when it reached Germany airport then no further tracking was shown. I never received the consignment. DHL takes maximum 10 days to deliver, rarepalmseeeds.com says we will start an investigation after 8 weeks. After 8 weeks they said the delivery company lost the consignment and if you want refund, then contact DHL. Shipping company like DHL can't lose parcel. rarepalmseeds.com used a trick to scam the public. Stay away from this website.

I ordered Retrophyllum minus a super rare conifer from New Caledonia as well as spores from two species of tree fern. The Retrophyllum came in a packet filled with soaking wet soil (it is a water loving species, but still, the soil should have been damp not soaking). Inside the seed coat, the seeds were all dead. As for the Tree ferns, I sowed the spores at the same time as a related species. Zero germination on the two from Rarepalmseeds yet the related species from a different source are growing wonderfully after 5 months. A giant waste of money.

I bought from them the first time: Welwitschia mirabilis and Larryleachia cactiformis. Both species were on my wishlist for a long time. And I couldn't be happier: in less than a week 4/5 Welwitschia and 3/10 Larryleachia have germinated so far! The rest of the seeds also look promising, and also I never expect 100% germination, that is just not too realistic.
The price of the seeds for these 2 species were reasonable (they are indeed rare).

I purchased 100 seeds of Pachypodium namaquanum on 27th Jan from this store and it's been already more than 4 month past but nothing arrives.
They don't even give me a message about this problem so I sent a message to press them for an answer like what's going on? but the website is closed.
they charged me 739EUR and gave me nothing.

Their seeds have become so expensive, to the point of ridiculous. In addition to that you have to pay extra taxes and shipping costs. Germination rates are low to zero. A shadow of what it has been in the past.

The Brugmansia vulcanicola seeds had a 70% germination rate. And they are cold group Brugmansia, although I highly doubt they are true vulcanicola. The expensive Blechnum spores dit not germinate at all, not one green speck. After asking for replacement spores I received a reply after a week that can be summarized as "no, it's your fault they did not germinate" Overall I regret ordering from them, it's a waste of money.

No replies to any of my emails... shocking customer service!! i received a blunt rude message from someone on messenger after being ignored for weeks. not even a confirmation of order, this is a LARGE order and i have no idea if its been dispatched or not?? Youve basically taken my money and ran!! if i dont hear from you in the next 48 hours i will be opening a claim to get a refund
