I suffered a horribly botched operation in 2019. When I first met Dr Akali, I was looking for a surgeon who would be able to make me look 'normal' again - I had stopped dancing (teaching), dating and socialising. I had spoken to several surgeons - some had said that it would be impossible to fix me, and others did not make me feel confident that I would get the outcome I needed. Dr Akali was so kind and gentle when I met him. Out of all the surgeons I spoke to, he was the one that listened to me and really explained how he could help me. He also gave me realistic expectations about the outcome. I have undergone three surgeries with Dr Akali - abdomen x 2, breasts x 2 and legs x 2. Every surgery has had an outcome that has far exceeded what I had dared to hope for. I look normal again and have been able to go back to the life I had before. Dr Akali is professional, compassionate and a wonderful person as well as a very skilled surgeon. I can't recommend him highly enough.

i've been left botched and disfigured by this ONE MAN business! went to spire hull for operation and i have been in misery ever since i saw what he had done and how he had left me. He compares "you ladies" wanting elective surgery to his "skinny wrists". when asking him if a THIRD revision would make the dog ear and skin flaps smooth out he replied "how deep is a rabbit hole" - and THIS is how an NHS Consultant speaks to PRIVATE PATIENTS. my case is now being looked into with a view to taking it further. luckily i have screen shots but since my complaint to the hospital he seems to be changing this web page weekly. 2 months ago he had 4 working addresses; 3 of which did not exist and 2 phone numbers dead and not working. stated that he worked in harley street london BUT the address postcode was for a completely different place. what worries me now is that all his photos on this website that look "professional" are actually i-stock photos so the photo you see for eye surgery is actually from i-stock photos for microblading - so misleading in all areas. he now has a lincoln office address BUT it is for a botox centre that he rents for 2 days a month (i have messaged her to make sure this was not another bogus address). the biggest fakery with this is that the official office address is his wifes office and he does NOT hold consultations there and the other is in lincoln which he does not operate at either - so like a worm on a hook he reels you in and then tells you that he only operates at spire hull. there is no feedback or digital trail of any operations he has done. for this reason i give him 1* and now will make sure that any potential victim/patient sees this to make a better informed decision that i was given by spire hull and lincoln bmi by them advertising him and having links that made him the be-all and end-all. whilst he probably is great at his Day Job his private cosmetic surgery is so dire and my life is now so miserable that i walk around with my head to the floor as he's left me feeling like a freak. even the hospital has informed me that his response to my claim will now be taking 6 weeks longer as he has failed to inform them in an adequate time frame - so please anyone wanting cosmetic surgery just look around and check more than what the spire hull has on it's website - the spire hull's track record is dreadful when assessing the surgeons they "use" - just look at 2 of them (one with a 20 year jail term) and the other suspended - really worrysome when you think you've gone to the best of the best in surgery uk and you are left feeling suicidal
