Absolutely ridiculous and incompetent system. Richburns sent me an incredibly aggressive debt collection letter threatening home visits and legal warrants to enter my property, while explicitly stating on the exact same page that my 'Outstanding Arrears' were £0.00 ( yes really )

How can a company be so careless as to send heavy legal threats over a zero balance? I had to waste my time lodging a formal complaint just to get them to issue a 'stop notice' for an account that never owed a penny. Complete failure of compliance and zero attention to detail.

If I could rate my experience less than 1 star I would. Where do I start with the rude, overbearing, demanding and know it all behaviour from this company.

They have never given opportunity to myself the client to speak and explain the situation. They have not followed legal obligation following my entering into an IVA.

In particular, Johnathon is a disgusting human being (at best) who cannot help but talk over you before listening to a full sentence. I am utterly disgusted that he still has a job the way he speaks to people in a customer service role.

If you can avoid contact with this business do at all costs, they have even started now chasing me for energy bills 20 minutes after they have been loaded onto my Scottish power account. Not even arrears anymore! CURRENT BILLS!!

Harassing me unnecessarily when I don’t even have any energy debt! Absolute cowboys, how on earth is Scottish power partnering with these lot.

They are work with ScottishPower, They are lying with a sense of indifference, beware of this company and ScottishPower as they work together, I made a payment of £218 on Thursday and they told me that the payment would appear on Monday at ScottishPower, I waited until Wednesday and it did not appear, so for a week some scammers kept my money, I only wish that it would be investigated by HMRC

Nasty, verbally and physically aggressive. Threatening, both physically and verbally. Their employee got out of his car, heading towards me, and only stopped when he realized I was filming him.
He refused to accept there was no outstanding debt. Scottish Power had lied to Richburns.
Richburns employee lied about his visit by stating on the letter he put through my letter box "we were unable to contact you today"!!
He refused to leave my private property, having trespassed by not having the right to come on it.
This company needs to be banned from acting as debit collectors.

An absolute despicable company, bullies who constantly harass and attempt to inflict fear in people, they should be ashamed and Scottish Power need to stop using them or Scottish Power will lose customers while these idiots carry on with their bullyboy tactics

I was called yet again yesterday to wastemore of mylife talking to these arse holes. After a storm 5 years ago all 3 meters in all the 3 seperate units in our yard went blank. It has taken 64 phone cals and emails in this time to get a new meter fitted.
Originaly wy DD was £170 per month, for some reason SP shifted this to £780 per month with no meter reading. I canceled DD and this was the only way i could get them to fit a new meter.
Now after 2 months reading SP say they cant give back the overpayment i have been due for last 5 years. To stop being black listed i paid the £569 that was left from their guestamet and put it behind me. These clowns made it worse by demanding £42 for late payment even though this was not my fault. I cant wait to shift providers as this honestly is the biggest shit show i have ever seen.

This company are the lowest of the low and if you complain about them it is not even noted ! Scottish power employ these monsters to make peoples lives a misery. Constantly harassing people with serious mental health issues they should not be allowed to do this but seem exempt from complaints how is that fair absolutely no empathy perhaps this is a training issue starting at the top poisonous culture

they blocked the communal front door by putting a barrel lock inside mortice lock we were trapped inside the building six hours called a locksmith and police..what they did was illegal i am taking legal action the came to the wrong house

They showed up at my house, we answered the door and all they did was hand me a letter which said I didn’t answer the door to them and they would be taking things further!! Wth?!?!?! Literally face to face with them but I apparently didn’t answer the door. And he let himself round the side of my property where my children were playing. Ruthless

I suffer from my mental health and trying to arrange to pay a debt off , kept being put on hold , when not on hold you can hear in the background people in the office singing and making jokes loud , not professional, after n hour I still didn’t get things solved

chase illegal disputed debt from faulty metering and act illegally criminal corporate bullies with fraudulent unsigned warrants need dealing with and their energy extortion buddies last one got slapped as he made me feel threatened knowing I have CPTSD the courts threw it out and he shouldn't of been there in the first place and shouldn't use someones disability to provoke a reaction by making them feel threatened then scream like a baby to the police

Nothing more than a bunch of criminals parroting back what theyre told unlawfully entered my home with a FAKE warrant when I PROVED the warrant to be fake as it didnt have anything that the law claims it MUST have to even BE a warrant they cowardly blocked my email address and instead of proving they were right for TWO months they refused to give me a copy of the warrant they claimed they had they EVENTUALLY provided it and the minute they did it it was game over.

Its literally there plain as day what is required on a warrant

that pathetic document wasnt even signed by a judge and EVERY WARRANT must be signed by a judge it was the most amateur piece of nonsense ive ever seen

when I sent them an affidavit they ignored it and blocked my email I even contacted the court who confirmed that no warrant exist on their database and I recorded the conversation as evidence

The law isnt taught in this country so that cancerous parasites like the employees are ignorant to it and the directors can hide behind the employees

Eventually this company will come to light and the truth will come out and I will be one of the customers to put a nail in their coffins

A representative left a poorly written letter demanding money for an account which has nothing what ever to do with us.
When we sort information from Richburns they refused to tell us from whom they were trying to collect the £48K debt.
Judging from earlier reviews Npower/Eon should seek a more professional firm as this one goes about their task in entirely the wrong manner.

I had 4 men turn up at my house. 2 in a van and 2 in an old Audi. Pounding on my door. Screaming my name and also opened my door trying to enter. I owe £1500 and have a payment plan. I tried to ring and email them several times. No one answered and so talked.to scottish power direct. This company is a joke and I will be taking things further. Especially as even my neighbours were so shocked. They understood why I didn't answer. It was so scary. I live alone with my cat. I would never answer a door to that kind of action.
They really scared me. 🥲

Arrived at my door while I was unavailable. Shared confidential and sensitive information with another occupant of the house (a mentally ill individual) then proceeded to say - in front of a child - that if I couldn't pay, they'd have my cat! It may have been in jest, but overall a very distressing encounter.
