Richer Sounds - Stockport Reviews 

On Sunday 12th April at 15:30 I was physically assaulted by the store manager, simply for parking in one of the customer parking bays just of Higher Hillgate. I admit I was in the wrong as I wasn’t a customer (today) but have been many times in the recent past. A parking fine would have been completely understandable & I would have payed it without any issues. However, on returning to my car after leaving it for a couple of hours I was met by Patrick who started hurling verbal abuse at me instantly. I apologised several times & accepted that I was in the wrong but he carried on with his rant using extremely vulgar language. I went to take my phone out to record the exchange as he was becoming increasingly aggressive & was using serious slurs aimed at my wife. As I started recording he snatched my phone out of my hand, shoved me up against the wall by the neck & proceeded to choke me with his arm. I was in complete shock & didn’t know what to do. After struggling to push his arm off my neck I shouted at him to let me go but he continued to push his whole body weight onto me. After he could see I wasn’t retaliating & struggling to breath he let go & continued with his verbal assault. He then threw my phone onto the ground, I picked it up & started to record again as I was concerned for my safety at this point. I went into the store with my wife as I wanted the other staff members to hear what had just happened. He then called police & had the audacity to claim I was the one that attempted to assault him & that he was acting in defence. I waited for police to arrive & gave them my clear version of events as above. I’m going to hospital today to get a check up as my throat has been in pain since the incident & I will be reporting the crime myself once I’ve gathered as much evidence as possible. This is absolutely unacceptable & disgusting behaviour from a fully grown man / store manager. I will be taking this further & will be pressing charges if necessary as the whole ordeal was extremely traumatic & completely unprovoked. This man has serious anger problems & should not be in his position as manager.

Patrick & his team were absolutely superb, I’d had my eye on an audio technica turntable, but after another in depth chat about my needs, the team suggested an Argon TT turntable, they sent a quote & after some in-depth research including glowing reviews, I purchased the Argon TT, top advice & top service all round

Absolutely the best service went in to buy a new TV and Adrian spent a lot of time explaining things and sending up sound bars so i could hear the difference and then gave me a really good deal im over the moon with my new set up he even gave me next day delivery for free I will defo go back there again if i need anything

Visited Richer Sounds this time to buy a small tv for a bedroom. Discussed requirements with Nate and settled on a 24 " model which should be delivered in early May.Nate as before was very helpful and knowledgeable about specs. and performance etc.excellent service all round.

Very good experience from Richer Sounds, I knew what tv I wanted so visited the Stockport shop where I served by a very pleasant chap. Ordered Mt TV and soundbar and could have taken it away the same day but choose to have it delivered.
Delivery was to my chosen day and I received a time for delivery which was good and received a phone call when the delivery was 20 minutes away.
Delivery was very smooth and efficient.
So an all round good experience using Richer Sounds

This company has been around for years and are without doubt the best to buy hifi and TV from. Their prices excellent and stores all over the place. They're staff really know what they are talking about. If you haven't dealt with them before then you dont know what you have been missing. Thumbs up to the Stockport branch.

Staff had a good understanding of the products and gave a simple explanation to help make an informed decision on the new TV.
Help on how to set up the sound on the TV would be advantageous and helpful.

I hadn’t bought hi fi equipment for many years and worried they might have changed into a more conventional shop. Was pleased to see they stay honest to their roots

Super easy to order - initially I rang up a local shop to see if they had it in stock - as was planning to go and buy if it was.
Better was that - instead of having to travel to shop and load and unload the 65" Tv, on my own in my car (even if it fit), the order was placed over the phone and the item was delivered the next day - nice.

The TV itself is decent quality (better visual and audio quality than my previous TV) and as a VIP customer it was about half the full price and came with a 6 -year guarantee.

Very easy to order on line. Products often reflect the cheapest price available. I always collect from store which is most convenient and the staff are helpful and friendly.

I popped in Richer Sounds with a set budget. Nate the salesman was very knowledgeable and worked with my budget and put together an excellent sound system.
I purchased the Wiim Vibelink Amp and the Wiim Ultra for streaming music 🎶.
Together with the Dali Sonik 3 Speakers the sound is amazing.
Everything came with an extended 6 year warranty, that is simply unbeatable.

Exemplary service received from Richer Sounds Stockport store. They happily accepted my old (but still superb!) Arcam AVR 600 for service a few weeks ago, took care of everything including shipping it off to Arcam and contacting me promptly when it returned fully repaired. Service with a smile from start to finish from every member of staff I was in contact with and even conveying this heavy 32 kg lump of electronics to/from my vehicle!

We were looking to buy a specific television and visited Richer Sounds in Stockport. Adrian was extremely helpful from the start, answering all of my questions clearly and efficiently.

There was a delay due to high demand for the television, but Adrian took the time to check the system for stock availability and potential delivery dates. He explained everything thoroughly, including my options to either wait until the television arrived or pay in advance to secure one.

Adrian explained that I would receive a £10 discount for providing my email address for the quotation, which was a nice added bonus.

Although paying in advance is not something I would usually do, Adrian’s professionalism and clear communication gave me confidence to go ahead. The television arrived today, and I am very pleased to say the whole experience — from initial enquiry to delivery — has been excellent.
