I bought a dress but it wasn’t the same colours as the one they advertised - and are still advertising - and they said that if I reordered it it would be the same colour as the one I had received. I wrote to the owners but have heard nothing. Rubbish company. Avoid like the plague

Spent an hour in my local store a few days ago, trying multiple dresses for a special occasion.
I bought one, but was in two minds about it, which the saleswoman knew. She actually was quite forceful in trying to get me to buy three dresses, totalling around £150, but I said I wasn't comfortable with them, and spending that much, said I had 30 days to return if I wanted to, so I paid for the dress and went on my way.
Whilst I was trying the dresses on, I enquired about other colours in some of the styles, and did they have them available online, and was told they didn't do other colours. I went online when I got home, and they did indeed come in other colours, so I believe the lady was just trying to sell me dresses, and hoped I wouldn't actually check the website.
I tried the purchased dress on again, once home, and in the mirrors and lighting at home, it looked awful on me, so I decided to return it. I went into store today, where I was told by the same lady that sold it to me, no refunds, just a gift card or exchange, absolutely she pointed to a sign at the till, which was newly placed, and definitely wasn't on display at the time of purchase.
She even said, she sold it to me and did state exchange or gift card only. To which I told her she stated I had 30 days, not anything else, and that if she had told me that, I wouldn't have bought the dress as I was in two minds.
To think she actually was being very forceful in trying to sell me three dresses makes me feel sick, as losing £150 would've been awful. As it stands I've lost £42 on said dress.
I'd also like to point out, when I first approached the till to do the return, the same woman looked at me, and very grumpily said that she'd be in a minus figure because of my return, very unprofessional if you ask me.
I also advised her that the dresses she told me didn't come in another colour online, actually did, as I did in fact order them online and was wearing one in front of her. She flat out refused to admit that it did, saying it's different material, when I was stood next to said dress on the peg, in my alternative coloured version, and apart from colour, they were IDENTICAL.
Another lady was actually looking at it at the time, and said, yes it's the same, and gave the saleswoman a funny look.
DON'T GET SCAMMED BY THIS COMPANY, THEY WILL BE VERY FORCEFUL IN SELLING YOU ITEMS, NOT DISCLOSE THEIR REFUND, OR LACK OF REFUND POLICY, LIE ABOUT ONLINE STOCK TO GET YOU TO BUY IN STORE, AND GASLIGHT YOU WHEN YOU CALL THEM OUT ON ANYTHING!!!

Jacket i purchased for my daughters wedding shrank after one wash. I followed wash instructions to the latter. Returned to customer services who told me the shrinkage was due to the fact that the inner material was different to the outer material and that I should have ironed on reverse after washing. Obviously they were saying shrinkage was to be expected and I am to blame for not knowing this . They are returning faulty item with no apology. I am another dissatisfied customer who have bought many items from Roman but will not be recommending them to anyone. Avoid this company they must receive many complaints as I spent over an hour to get through to customer services due to the fact that they are "very busy" !!!! I wonder why

First time purchaser, ordered 2 items on line, one needs exchange for size. Cant find anything on site to assist. Happy to go to store but have no idea if the dress will be available there or the size.
Doubt if i will purchase from them again if this the quality of after service.

I’m terribly disappointed in Roman lately. It was always my go to especially for tops. I don’t know what has happened to them. Sizing is all over the place I rarely know now what size I am. Such a pity. Also the lengths of the tops are getting shorter which for me is a no no. I’m older like coverage.

I have over the years purchased many items of clothing from this retailer. Purchased a body warmer which was stitched wrongly around the sleeve opening. The person who stitched the garment had stitched the outer fabric to the back of the garment through the padding, so the garment was totally different from the other side. Tried to exchange but Roman said it had no recollection of my purchase. Nil points from me .

Item arrived Saturday. Returned for exchange same day. Arrived Roman Monday. Exchanged item received today. 3 day turn around. Well done Roman

Ordering ,returns and refunds : excellent and efficient.

Printed label included with order,speedy returns at Post Office and refunds issued immediately on receipt of returned parcel.

Very pleased with the jumper.

Disappointed and somewhat disgusted at the poor quality and poor communication. Ordered a dress I really liked. First one had faulty stitching on shoulder. Returned and refunded. Second one ordered and labelled size 10 was more like a size 14. Again returned and refunded. Asked for an explanation about poor quality. None given, just told I had been refunded. I see from the poor comments on here that Roman have gone downhill.

I ordered a jumper from Roman in my size had to return for next size down as the neckline was far too big. The next size was the same so returned for a refund. Roman sent it back saying, the return date had passed even though the jumper is faulty. I have tried to reason with them by email but they have been very sharp with me flatly refusing to examine the garment and/or accept the return for exchange/credit/refund. I am absolutely furious and I will never order from them again. The actual customer service has been appalling. I have spent a lot of money at Roman over the years, but I will never order from them again! Please do not use this company, they're disgraceful and won't respect a customers statutory rights!

Brought a Christmas present for my wife. She did not like it so returned for a refund. 3 times they sent back the same items then told me I was out of time for a refund. I explain what had happened but was told that there was nothing further they could do. Very poor after sale service, being a big purchaser it will be our last with them

Returned my item as not worth the money. No confirmation of the return and no response to my emails.
Wish I had read the reviews before purchasing.

Very poor customer service have been stuck in a queue for over 30 mins now on the phone - I have tried to resolve by contacting Roman online however the form will not submit due to an issue with captur 😕. Jumper I received is very poor quality it has bobbled & rubbed after wearing it twice - such a shame as it is a lovely design & colour.

Excellent quality clothing, I have bought about a dozen items over the last year.

So why haven’t I given 5 stars? It’s because the website bombards me with reminders that there are items that are in the basket. I have as a result thought the order hadn’t gone through so ordered the exact same items again. Yes returns are easy, but costs me £3 when this happens, and it’s a nighle that could be rectified. The returns slip doesn’t allow an explanation so a full refund can be made.

The items I have ordered through this company, always come on time and even earlier than expected, are easy to track, are of good quality and if needed, easy to return and refund.

Not good enough
They will need to send me another
Will not he using them again they have lost a lot of business

Very disappointed with customer service.. explained that returned item should have been received in the time frame for returns ..it was not sent with original return as had not decided if it was required subsequently sent .. they returned item to me stating I had not used the correct return label so they returned the item with a label for payment to return it to them asking for return code .. sent item have details of postage they then returned the item back to me stating I was out of the return period!’
So would not issue a refund… not sure what else I could have done in this situation.. very disappointed will never use Roman Originals again ….

Fast delivery and refunds issued quickly for returns.
Also has a customer service phone line, which is answered promptly and your issue dealt with quickly and efficiently by a pleasant member of staff.

Generally very good. Quality of clothes reflected by price. Very fast delivery. However, I have not received my refund by the 3-5 working days STATED ON THEIR WEBSITE. Have received a generic response to my query saying that at the moment there is a “slight delay” in processing refunds and it can take “up to 14 working days”. That is not slight..that is 2-3 times as long. If you can manage a generic response with this info then it really should be on your website. This could put your customers in a difficult position when paying credit card bills. On top of paying return fee I will not be ordering again. Order 1040678343

I thought my parcel hadn't been delivered so I left a poor review but I have since found where the parcel had been hidden so it actually had arrived on time
