I was looking on the website thinking about buying some shoes but wasn't too sure of the size as my right foot is wider than my left, I made an enquiry online and within 20 minutes I had a call from Richard giving advice which turned out to be spot on, the shoes (priced cheaper than elsewhere) arrived on time and they fit perfectly. Richard called me on the day I placed the order online to discuss sizes and fit of cycling boots. Following our conversation I changed the fit size to wide on Richard’s recommendation and I have to say he was spot on as the boots fit perfectly. Great service. Ordered Lake CX146 cycling boots in size 43, but having submitted my feet measurements I was called the next day to suggest a bigger size 44. Boots arrived quickly and were a great fit. Also kept feet warm in cold weather and didn’t notice them whilst riding which must be a sign of a comfortable fit. Impressed that Salt dog took the time to check sizing and then call and suggest a bigger size.

Before buying the Lake MX146X, I called Salt Dog and chatted with their team. They provided excellent guidance on sizing, advising me to choose a size larger than my usual Lake shoes. The customer service was outstanding, reflecting a shop that truly cares. I got the perfect size on my first try, and it arrived within 3 days.

I am so glad that I contacted Richard for advice on Lake shoes for my winter road riding/gravel riding. The sizing tool on the website worked really well and then Richard to great time and care via e mail and phone to ensue that the MX 333’s were the right shoe for me and to get the right size. I have worn them for a few weeks now and am thrilled with them. They fit perfectly are are just so comfortable _ no easy task given my rather strange foot shape! Thank you so much, Richard. I was looking for a spare part for my Lake cycling shoes and found this company as a stockist for the parts. I telephoned as the part was showing as out of stock on the website and Richard said he would do his best to obtain the parts quickly. I called to discuss which shoes would be best for me this time, (second pair of Lakes Shoes) and the man on the phone, had plenty of time to chat this through with me, he even explained his reasoning which was very helpful, the shoes are competitively priced and arrived very promptly, yet to break them in so this review is for the company only, its a rarity these days finding a knowledgeable and friendly member of staff who has the time to make you feel you are important, cant recommend Salt Dog enough, go here first always!! thank you so much.
