4 years of problems with my Salus room stat, it’s now dead.
I had a Salus RT310i room stat fitted 4 years ago. It has been nothing but trouble. It has stopped working yet again and my original supplier/fitter couldn’t make it work and found Salus’s technical team ‘unhelpful’. A second qualified heating engineer couldn’t make it work either. The 5 year warranty I was shown by my fitter/supplier is time consuming to claim on and difficult to understand. My Salus room stat was definitely not of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. I couldn’t wait any longer for it to be mended or replaced so fitted another make of room stat that does work, is easier to use and more accurate.

Thermostat (RT510TX) seized display; sorted by Salus!
My thermostat (RT510TX) had stopped communicating with the boiler, suddenly and while the CH was running. I thought that the batteries needed changing, did that, and then pressed the test/pair button, resulting in the constant display of SYNC 10. Joseph, at Salus support, replied to email and with a minimum of fuss from him, got me to "wiggle" what turned out to be a stuck test/pair button. The support from (Joseph) was rapid, friendly, professional and effective. Saved me the cost of a new stat as well. I am more than impressed with the quality of the Salus kit and the company's approach to customer service.
Weekend issue
Had a issue with the app over the weekend 25th nov 2023, inc access to the portal for the it500 via laptop.
Heating worked fine.
I suspect the hosted server/portal was playing up, now working fine 27/11/2023 as the server may have been fixed.
The company has no support over the weekend, they need active monitoring of systems over the weekend to ensure this does not happen again.
They also need a a status page on their website to let people know all system are ok.
Existing thermostat is working
Moved into an existing apartment with a Salus in it. Had trouble connecting as it kept saying the thermostat was offline. Took a while to get past Sally the Chat Bot but eventually got through to Joseph. After a few emails troubleshooting, he sent me a new thermostat and gateway which work are working great so far. Quite impressed with the service. Thanks

Salus internet heat controller issue
I was having a problem with the internet temperature controller, iT500 which was no longer programming.
Tech at salus UK made a few suggestions which did not resolve the issue. They then took charge of my device online and sorted it out.
Joseph, the help person at tech was very constructive and made himself available when needed.

My Salus RT310 RF
My Salus RT310RF was not working properly - Joseph ask me to send him a photo of the front and back panel of the kit.
A replacement was sent out, and I received it within a day, along with instructions how o pair with my hub.
Everything workinf perfectly. Thanks Joseph & Salus great service.

Had an issue with a gateway that had stopped working. Followed on line help to no avail so contacted support. Joseph talked through the same procedures I'd found online and when that didn't work, he sent out a replacement, which worked instantly. Had an issue with the control unit. Very random symbol appeared and error code. Looked on line. Went through the manual. Tried help with the online bot, raised the ticket/problem with customer support. Rep that responded knew what the issue was from my description. Wrote me very clear and easy to follow steps. Sorted.
So relieved. Thought I would be without heating control for ages trying to sort it took 2 days.

My Salus iT500 receiver wouldn’t pair
My Salus iT500 receiver wouldn’t work so I bought a new one. I couldn’t get it to pair so I emailed Salus Support. Joseph suggested some actions which didn’t work so he then asked for a video of what I was doing, which I sent. He emailed back and then it worked! Excellent service. Thanks.

Have had Salus IT500 controls on my Valliant boiler for a number of years.
Had a problem recently where I was unable to change the heating schedule on the thermostat. My Salus Internet Gateway had died previously meaning I could not control the schedule via the online app and after speaking to Salus tech support the thermostat needed a firmware upgrade to operate in offline mode, but that could only be done via a working gateway.
Salus arranged a replacement gateway for me at no cost.
The support personnel were most prompt and helpful.
10/10 for Salus customer service.
