Sash Window Preservation Reviews

Daryl and Scott did a very good work, what I could see when I was the first 2 days in Sandgate. 60 years ago I did my apprenticeship with my father who was a master of cabinetmaker's trade.

Above and beyond... once again the guys from Sash Window Preservation have done a superb job on the remaining windows at our Edwardian Peterborough house. Jack and Nick are true craftsmen who are happy to take time getting things spot on. Attention to detail comes as standard.

We’re absolutely delighted with the restoration of our Victorian house window. The service provided my Nick and his team was outstanding from start to finish. We used to have heavy condensation every morning and had to use our Karcher window vacuum daily, but since the restoration the condensation has completely disappeared. The noise reduction has also made a big difference. Best of all, the window has been beautifully restored while maintaining the original character of our property. Highly recommended! 😊

All the team working on the windows were committed to restoring them as carefully as possible. They took both pride and pleasure in their work, and were concerned that we were completely satisfied.

I’ve had a really positive experience with Sash Window Preservation so far.
After researching several companies, I spoke to a few that were cheaper and some who were very quick to criticise other firms. A couple even offered ‘lifetime guarantees’ which I actually question if they exist and made big promises. But in my experience, over-promising doesn’t always lead to the best outcome
I’d much rather deal with a company that is honest, realistic and clearly knowledgeable who don’t talk bad about other companies, they have been a pleasure to deal with so far.
Ricky was incredibly informative and took the time to explain everything properly. You can tell he genuinely understands sash windows. There was no pressure, just clear advice and transparency.
The team answering the phones have also been fantastic, professional, friendly and very responsive. Thanks Davey.

I’m genuinely grateful that Trustpilot exists because being able to read honest, consistent reviews gave me the confidence to choose quality over just going with the cheapest quote with a company who don’t appear to have reviews. I’m a firm believer that you get what you pay for.
Sometimes paying a little more is worth it for peace of mind.
Really looking forward to getting the windows done.
Thank you SWP

Jack, Nick, Daryl and Shay did a marvellous job, draughtproofing and double glazing our 5 beautiful sturdy Victorian sash windows. They worked in the most horrible conditions - freezing cold, wet windy weather - stripping the frames and refitting them with the new glass and the insulating strips. They cleared away thoroughly afterwards, and were always friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.

Thank you to Robbie, Scott, Shay and Ethen who worked on my windows. They were considerate, kept me informed and were tidy. All so thank you to the admin team who guided us through this process.
I would be happy to use Sash Window Preservation again.

A truly excellent service from initial engagement to final delivery. In a world of poor service and poor quality if you need windows Sash Windows is the place to go!

Sash Windows did an excellent job of replacing some of our old sash windows. The fitters were very pleasant to deal with, protected all the surrounding areas meticulously and carefully cleaned and hoovered the rooms afterwards. The windows look great and function very well.

This is the second time we have used Sash Window Preservation and both times, we have been very pleased with the whole process, from initial enquiry, site visits, answering questions, craftmanship and professionalism of trades people, We will be using them again and thoroughly recommend.

They did a good job restoring and putting on the double glasing, only i was told that the job would take only a few jours but in the end it took a lot longer. I had made plans accordingly which i needed to cancel. But i am glad they took their time to make it all right and working properly. Also perhaps it took lomger because of the rain. They managed very well!

We have had work done to draught proof windows in our old house which has proved very worthwhile and recently had work done on our old front door which seems to have been successful. The workmen have been very nice to deal with arriving on time, working carefully and quietly, leaving remarkably little mess and left us with a warmer home. We look forward to the next phase of their improvements to our home.

These guys are top drawer. I have dealt with a lot of people with my large and somewhat problematic listed house, and these are the best.

They are high quality windows, very impressive, and very individually done - which helps when your windows often have different sizes and can be wonky in places.....

Despite facing a few time-consuming challenges, Danny and Jack remained upbeat and hardworking. Danny came back a week later to complete the task. I look forward to having them back for my next project.

They're quick and reliable. Very professional. The two young men that resorted and daft proofed my sash window, were polite and respectful. They did a really good job.

Two oak framed window bays needed substantial repairing in our period house. Nick and Dan did a fantastic job with replacing the rotten window frames with double glazed oak framed units. Their attention detail and carpentry skills were second to none. They did a fantastic job which my wife and I are extremely pleased with. These guys are true craftsmen who care about their work. Rare to find these days. Thank you.

The work was completed in the prgrammed time period. The quality of workmanship was high. The staff were considerate and polite at all times.

Well made windows, well installed by skilled friendly people. A few problems with the existing frames were discovered and rectified without fuss. I was consulted or informed appropriately of every action.

All the lads (Jack, Nick, Danny and Scott) were very professional, respectful, and helpful, whilst having to endure rather wintery weather conditions at times. Exemplary standard of work.

Impressed again with personalised care and good workmanship .
