Very disappointed with the quality of the sofa received it has dent in it and some sagging on the second cushion towards your left.

I got a call early on from the driver, to say they would be late, as they’d had a flat tyre. I was happy that they had let me know.
Would have given 5 stars, but one of the guys broke a piece of my furniture, thankfully the other delivery man was able to fix it. Not perfectly, but I was happy with the result.

I only gave this company one star because I had no other option.

The customer service has been virtually non-existent. They advertise a 14-day delivery time, yet I’m still waiting for my furniture.

Every update has come from me chasing the store, and each time I’ve only been fobbed off with excuses rather than being given any meaningful information or a resolution. A very disappointing experience.

Bought a corner sofa from this company 2 months ago and the leather is sagging already sent picture to company to be told the warranty does not cover what is wrong with sofa its to do with the after care. Is this company actually serious??? The sofa hasn’t lasted 2 months

The delivery was on time and the delivery guys were very good.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with ScS. When I initially purchased my sofa, the staff were friendly, helpful, and couldn’t have done more to assist me. However, once payment was made and problems began to arise, the level of support and communication changed significantly.

Only half of my sofa was delivered, and since then I have had to repeatedly explain the same issues every time I contact ScS, as notes do not appear to be being added to my account. Being asked over and over again which parts are missing has been incredibly frustrating and has taken up a considerable amount of my time.

I have contacted the store on several occasions but have seen little to no progress. I also spoke with a member of staff who was unhelpful, and I was simply passed between the store and customer services without any real assistance, explanation, or apology.

I would like to acknowledge that the delivery driver and the gentleman assisting him were excellent on the day of delivery. They were polite, efficient, and carried out their work properly.

However, the communication, customer service, and aftercare I have received from ScS have been extremely disappointing, particularly given that this was a significant purchase. I expected a much higher standard of service and a much quicker resolution to the issues I have experienced.

I received my sofas yesterday, only to find they are the wrong colour. I ordered grey sofas, but the ones delivered are dark brown.

When I placed my order in store, I was shown the sofa along with two grey swatches and chose the grey colour I preferred. However, my invoice only shows colour-coded numbers rather than an actual colour description. I am not an employee of Poltronesofà, so I had no way of knowing what those codes represented.

I believe this is a case of misrepresentation and a breach of contract, and I am now requesting a full refund. After reading the many negative reviews, I am concerned that resolving this may turn into a difficult process.

If you have placed an order, make sure you check the colour code carefully and don’t assume it matches the colour you selected in store.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend Poltronesofà to anyone.

Back in January 2026 we ordered a Corner Unit Sofa and Swivel chair from SCS Middlebrook Bolton.
We actually sat on the actual Corner Unit and Swivel Chair we liked both in style and colour with beige trims.
We trusted the SCS Salesman as to what was ordered that we could have.
We paid a 30% deposit of approx £1400.00
The salesman never went through the order nor the terms and conditions and we only received a copy of a quotation and NEVER received a copy of our order and terms and conditions of sales.
We revisited the said store some weeks later to check on the situation only to be told that our order was being done in Bottle Green without beige trims, something we did not order.
We then eventually had to cancel our order and being told we would lose our deposit of £1400.00 as it was our fault.
After revisiting the said store a few times to see the manager we were told that we would not get our deposit back nor have it transferred to a re-order and we were told that we would have to pay another deposit.
Our order was cancelled by the said store.
We have also read that some SCS customers got there deposit returned.
We then contacted the Furniture Ombudsman and gave them all the information and details we had at the time.
After a few weeks with emails between all parties we were informed by the Furniture Ombudsman that they are not pursuing our complaint against SCS Middlebrook Bolton.

We strongly recommend that people go through every detail before they leave SCS store or shop elsewhere and get a better deal and service.
We actually went to Oak Furnitureland and ordered a Settee and two chairs without any problems whatsoever.

Received my new sofa and it’s got marks on the arm and behind the back of the sofa. Looks like brown stains like coffee or tea has been dropped. Paid a lot of money for this and when we purchased in store there was no stain on it.

I have sent email but not had no response.

I had a very disappointing experience with the Bolton SCS store. The sofas I received are different colours, which is completely unacceptable.

When I contacted customer service, I spoke to a staff member called Samin, who was extremely rude and abrupt. She had no customer service skills or telephone manners, making an already frustrating situation even worse.

The store appears to lack proper management. Staff should be trained to treat customers with respect and handle complaints professionally. Based on my experience, the sales staff were unhelpful, discourteous, and did not provide the level of service I would expect.

I would not recommend this store unless significant improvements are made to both product quality and customer service.

Really bad communication and customer service and I still have no update on when my sofa will be delivered.

Pleasant staff helpful and informative from greeting on arrival attentive but not pushy throughout our visit.

We were greeted with the warmest of welcomes from all the staff the minute we walked through the door, Then Samina explained the company's products and labelling to us.... whilst walking around trying out sofas we were offered coffee, which was lovely, where Samina was very knowledgeable about our questions, taking time to listen to our needs and what we were looking for, not once di we feel like we were being pushed into buying..... With Saminas help we found the perfect product fo us and our individual needs. We were reluctant to buy the warranty due to a recent dissatisfaction with another company, but, Samina thoroughly explained your procedures, to the extent that never in my life have I felt so confident in a product which we were about to purchase, I had to speak to the manager Chris just to give him such feedback about this member of staff, and truly hope Samina is recognised for her ability, her knowledge and her hospitality... working in retail ourselves we know all too well how hard it can be, so Thank you to Chris, Samina and all the staff at Horwich store for making our shopping trip so much easier.....

The delivery went smoothly,the team were very capable and pleasant. We ordered sliders for the feet,if I hadnt mentioned them they would not have fitted them as they were unaware they were needed,in fact said are never told? Although we were advised of the estimated delivery time it arrived just over 2 hours after the initial one given. I also feel the cost of delivery was very high for 2 chairs considering the speed of installation and compared to other retailers on the same site. The experience in the branch was very good.

The guys came in a box van not sign writen with company name or anything to say what it was . Two delivery guys , only the driver spoke , pleasant chap , they where very respecfull of our property doing everything in a carefull manner , very deliberate in the task of assembling the sofas , they removed all rubbish & left . Then my wife & i had time to look over what we recieved & we are very impressed with the quality / sturdiness / look & the componants . also how well the feet are placed being thought of when fitting it looks like you could only fit them one way having been pre-located prior to on site fitting . Details matter , we watched the guys do there job & they did everything expected . Great job start to finish . Oh & the sofa is great too . Many thanks .

Crew that delivered was brilliant… but had a problem with their van so 6 hours later than expected… main disappointment was no communication about this.. had to ring several times to get updates…expected at least a call to update us on the situation… delivery link was useless as didn’t update.
