Excellent service. Helpful and informative from start to finish

Sales exec Dave Skinner was my 1st telephone contact with Sinclair. I had previously made contact with 3 other Main Dealers of different premium brands both far away as Sinclair Newport, and local to home in Poole Dorset by phone and visit. It was refreshing to be able to speak directly to a Sales Exec on my 1st call in, it seems that all other dealers groups use a central remote telephone receptionist. Dave encouraged me with friendly efficiency to make a 108 mile trip to view the car of my interest, so we did, Dave and his Sales Management team plus others created enjoyable purchase experience for both me and my wife. I picked up my car 8 days later and enjoyed a 1st Class handover.

Fantastic service from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble for Dave Skinner, the salesman. No pushy sales patter, listened to everything I wanted. Made videos of potential cars for me and was very accommodating. Purchased a Tiguan R-line, had a small issue on collection that was fixed within a week.

We recently purchased a used Polo with the help of Adam at Sinclair Newport. We told Adam the trim level and colour we wanted and about a week later he found us one which was suitable. Throughout the purchase Adam was polite and professional, as were any of the staff we spoke to at Sinclair. Thank you.

Avoid Sinclair Volkswagen Newport

Note that Sinclair VW Newport requested that the General Managers name be removed from this review. (Which has now been done) but as you can see all of their positive reviews contain employee names. Clearly their attempt to have the review removed.

Our experience with Sinclair Volkswagen Newport, particularly with their General Manager, was absolutely appalling. The level of arrogance, incompetence, and unprofessionalism displayed was staggering. The General Manager dismissed expert findings, provided misleading information, and resorted to threats of unjustified charges, all while showing a complete lack of respect for customers.

Communication was chaotic, and their handling of our situation was marked by delays, excuses, and outright negligence. It’s clear that customer care and accountability are not priorities for this dealership.

Do yourself a favour—avoid Sinclair Volkswagen Newport at all costs. You deserve better than their dismissive and hostile approach.

Tried selling a car for a higher price than advertised online. Then when challenged about it, it had sold within seconds whilst on the call. Called back and blamed the customer… they didn’t really understand that it wasn’t about losing the car, it was about being sold wrong information to get as much money as possible against the advertised price. Unlawful I would suspect but certainly immoral. Thanks Phil! Signed KFC!
