Soundrop Reviews 

Been with Soundrop since 2014 and been really happy. This year they started duplicating my videos on youtube. My most popular video was upto 78000 views. I contacted them to ask what was going on, no reply, the videos kept being duplicated by IIP-DDS a Soundrop 'partner'. Then suddenly overnight all the original videos were deleted and all my counts are back to zero. All playlists, links, likes etc are now useless. I've gone from around 1000 plays per week and around $15 per month to virtually nothing. The channel is ruined. I've pleaded with Soundrop to restore with no reply. A real kick in the teeth. No reason given, no response. Heartbreaking.

Finally have left this absolute joke of a distributor, and re-released my music elsewhere. Your much better off going to a company like anti-joy and paying £20 a year.

Some points to take into account if you choose to use soundrops services

1. No Customer Support. None. - Good luck getting any response from any human if you have an issue. If your lucky you might get a response Months, yes MONTHS later.

2. Releases delayed. - even if you submit a release months early, they will only pass the processing stage days before the release date which already delays it by 2 weeks.

3. Bugs. site is buggy and there will most of the time be an issue with your release where it tells you to email support. well good luck getting a response.

Soundrop worked well for a long period of time. But the last time Soundrop delivered my album to only one of the stores but my album was never sent to all of the other stores. I've tried to contact their support two times already and have been waiting for the reply for more than 3 weeks already. Support chat is off. So they just did not release my album at the right time and it has not been on the streaming platforms for more than a month already. And seemd nobody cares about this and there is nothing I can do about this. I have to mention that I paid money for this. Now it started looking just like scam.
I'm worrying about all previous releases and what will happen to the money this company owes to their artists.

Congratulations on being the top for a while and then being the worst. You couldn't dive any deeper. No support or customer service ,no uploading in time , nothing works correctly even the collaboration payment. Really congrats.

They started out as a fairly decent company for covers but they have gone so downhill, its appalling.

Support is non existent and general service is unusable.

Months' worth of waiting for your music to get distributed because they're painfully slow and reject everything. Also, near impossible to get approved for auto distro. ONLY positive about this is the price

So all cards on the table, when I used this service for the first time a couple years ago it was amazing. My music was processed and distributed in a couple days to all major streamers and if was free because I submitted all original music. The second time around wasn't so great. This time I had to pay, not much, but I wasn't expecting it. I never received notice that they were changing their rates. But the worst part, and the reason I'm writing this review. Is because my album was stuck in processing for a month and a half. Their website says that part of the process takes 5-7 days max. The only reason it got eyes on it was because I directly emailed their support. I used a chatbot to submit two tickets, nothing. I filled out the issues form they have on their website, nothing. It wasn't until after I sent the email that anyone got in touch with me about the problem. (To be fair they fixed my issue the next day and my album is live.) But whats the point of having a ticket system anyways if there's no one around to look at them. I'm going to go ahead and echo the other reviews that say how much this business has gone downhill. Its absolutely true.

My account has been locked with no copyright strikes. I am writing to support but there is no reply. They just say they don't want to work with me. I have close to 1800 dollars in my account and they do not give me money.

They've gone so downhill.
Processing times are slow and there is NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT AT ALL ANYMORE! NONE!
if there is an issue with your release, you must contact them, however just no response.

Their customer service was always bad, but for more important cases you would still get responses. Now it's non existent, no matter what issue you have

Run away, it's a scam! Two weeks passed, they took my money, nothing happened, my release still on hold. I already opened several support tickets and I was ignored, no response.
SCAM!!!

This service is awful. They're the only company who will license covers without a recurring fee and they SURE do take advantage of that fact. Slow processing times, constant bugs on the site, ludicrous restrictions on things like art & title (which other distributors don't do), and poor support. Do NOT use these guys. Just put your covers on YouTube, this isn't worth it.

ci vuole almeno un mese per pubblicare anche solo un singolo, si rifiuteranno di mandare la vostra musica su Instagram e Tiktok perché secondo loro avete usato dei suoni campionati (anche se è tutta roba vostra decidono loro e basta), non potete avere neanche il canale Youtube da artista e si tengono pure il 30% dei guadagni oltre alle varie tasse. uno schifo praticamente, ci credo che costa poco.
Aggiungo che l'assistenza è inesistente, sto aspettando da un mese che mi spieghino delle cose riguardo delle royalties che non sto ricevendo ma niente, probabilmente sono tutti guadagni persi, roba da denuncia.

I only have good memories with soundrop no trouble at all. They mean what they say.

If I could give zero stars I would. I have asked for them to delete my account and they flatly refuse. I have no active tracks with them and one track that is just sat there but inactive.

The response I got was “ Due to the nature of our platform, we like to keep tracks around! This means that, while we are happy to remove an album or single that you've created, we are unable to remove tracks from your account.”

Simply not good enough and is a flagrant breach of privacy laws and the right to be forgotten. What are these companies using our music for that they are not telling us about? Why do they need to keep your track even if it hasn’t been distributed?

My experience has been positive. The cover song licensing is very affordable and they even gave my music a share from there social accounts which was a nice surprise.

è il distributore con la migliore assistenza, ti rispondono subito e se segui le linee guida non hai problemi con le approvazioni. Purtroppo però i tempi sono leggermente più lunghi rispetto ad altri distributori e trattengono una percentuale sui guadagni.

I have been using soundrop for 4 years and I have questioned the service for the past 2 years, from apple revenue, tidal, deezer and youtube they don't give revenue, for no reason they don't monetize and royalties aren't given, this is a form of fraud theft, because so far it's only spotify and facebook but for other platforms there is no royalty, some friends also use other streaming platforms such as tidal, deezer but what is included in the stream is not given. as this company is a child of cd baby they earn $6M profit no wonder they are crooks, thieves.

This is the second time a release has been delayed. I uploaded everything over two weeks ago and set the release date for today which is plenty of time according to their website. Not only is it not live on Spotify (probably THE most popular platform) it's not even up on YouTube when soundrop has it listed as live. Seriously what is going on here? And now it costs money to upload when their service is worse than it's ever been??? This is the last time I will ever use soundrop for music distribution. Totally and utterly unprofessional. You have ONE job to distribute music and you can't get that right.

Aggiornamento 2025: per me è oggettivamente il distributore più inefficiente di sempre. L'assistenza non esiste o risponde dopo 7-9 mesi, una roulette russa. E nonostante questo hanno la sfacciataggine di portare il costo a 4,99$... n'somma, ciaone.
