SOUTH DEVON CHILLI FARM Reviews 

First lot of plants didn't do well. Two died almost immediately, Kashmiri lost all it's flowers, but survived. Now has just one flower, but lots on the way. Delivery of plants was left outside the front door in full sun probably being the cause. Second lot of plants faired a little better, but the Kashmiri chilli plant was very much affected by the sun. Note, all plants are in the shade, and soil moisture measured twice a day. We are not too far away in Exeter and I don't think the plants should have suffered too much. Maybe next year, we visit you! and I'll buy seeds as well.

I have bought a lot of very hot chilli seedlings from them this year and they are growing fine.
Unfortunately two seedlings had a problem and yellowed. I contacted SDCF and Jenny sent replacements out immediately.
Wonderful service. Will use again.

Ordered my carolina reaper plants last year, received them yesterday , 1 litre pots , they are exceptional, so green and healthy, looking forward to them flowering and getting the chillies for cooking .

My seeds are growing fabulously well, with 100% germination. The seeds from South Devon Chilli Farm are exceptional. By far, the best seeds i have ever purchased and will be buying more in time for next years growing season

I wrote a review regarding the 1 litre pre-potted carolina reaper plant I ordered last year to say my genuine experience and how it didn't work out for me and what I thought was wrong with the plant despite the countless efforts of trying to revive a living branch(literally)!

I returned to the site a few days later to find out that my review isn't there, even though it was there as soon as I submitted it. I believe SDCF removed my review as in their eyes it was a negative review when it was me just stating what I thought was wrong with the plant, whilst being as reasonable as possible. I would say I understated what I said in the review because I didn't want to give people who chose to purchase this plant or any other plants from SDCF any reason not to buy this. Seeing my review being removed from the site has given me an insight on who I purchased this plant from and if I had known then I probably would've chosen not to being a customer to SDCF. This shows SDCF didn't want to reach out to their own customer(me) even though I spent my hard earned money buying a plant that cost me enough money to buy food for a few days. It's extremely disappointing and despite this, I'm not going to advise anyone to not purchase from SDCF, but I advise whoever does buy something from SDCF to give positive reviews as SDCF clearly doesn't tolerate "negative" reviews. Quite pathetic considering an established company cannot accept one genuine "negative" review.

Have bought a wide variety of chilli seeds from South Devon Chilli's over the past five years and I have always received high quality seeds with good germination rate. Would highly recommend them for the variety and quality of chilli seeds and good quality customer service.

Great place to visit with the finest chilli products on offer, all made from chillies grown on the farm! Huge variety of seeds, plants & fresh chillies through the season and very friendly, knowledgeable team!

Paradise, if you want a beautiful plant or something to liven up your evening meals then this is the place to be or order from. A vast variety from mild to extreme heat products and what’s best is it’s all grown right there on the farm exactly as it says from seed to sauce. Outstanding. Will be visiting again with my family
When we’re in the local area

I started using the Carolina Reaper hot chilli sauce in July. I began with 2 drops in my soup. After 2 months I have built a tollerance and have 12 drops in my soup. My body feels great: my colesterole and blood pressure have lowered back to normal and the surge of endorfins make me feel very good throughout the day. My digestion has improved and I actually feel less hungry. Amazing product and very tasty albeit very hot. Can't do without anymore! 🌶️

I recently tried the Manzanilla Chilli Jam from South Devon Chilli Farm and it’s absolutely fantastic. The balance of sweetness and gentle heat is spot on – enough of a kick to be exciting without overwhelming the flavour. It pairs beautifully with cheese, meats, and even just spread on toast. You can tell it’s made with care and quality ingredients; it tastes fresh and full of character.
South Devon Chilli Farm never disappoints, but this has to be one of my new favourites. Highly recommended for anyone who loves a little spice with their food!

A great place to visit for chilli lovers of all ages. Beautiful location, loads of free parking, plants and a show tunnel to look around when the chillies are in season. Also nice to be able to sample some of the sauces, preserves and chilli chocolate on offer. A good range of chilli gifts if you're shopping for a special occasion, plus seeds and grow-kits if you fancy growing some chillies yourself. Well worth a visit and they have an online shop, too.

I absolutely love the South Devon Chilli Farm! Their products are amazing, full of flavour and just the right kick of spice. The chilli sauces, chocolates and jams are all delicious, and you can really taste the care that goes into making them. I also love that everything is grown sustainably and peat-free – it makes supporting them feel even better. The team are always so welcoming and passionate about what they do, and it’s infectious. If you’re a chilli lover (or even just chilli-curious), this place is a must! 🌶️🔥

The products are amazing (especially the chilli jams, they go with everything!) And the staff who work there are so friendly and helpful. Really cool place to visit!

Very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff! The sauces from this place are like nothing I’ve had before - very fresh and rich flavours. The show tunnel is great and there is a lovely picnic area. Would definitely return.

Absolutely love this farm when we're visiting Devon. The show tunnels are fab and shop goodies even better -Chili Jam and Madagascar 70% dark chocolate are next level! Will definitely be back for another visit
