I purchased a junior cricket bat at a reasonable price, which arrived promptly the next day due to expedited shipping. It was securely packaged, but it's apparent that the bat was a display model. The labels are slightly worn, the base protector is beginning to detach, and the white/grey handle shows visible marks from handling. Since this is intended as a birthday gift for my son, I'm not entirely satisfied.

I visited Cricket-Hockey after a longish drive from the south west and what a hockey players gem it is.
The staff are great, very welcoming, helpful, patient and above all play the sport themselves.
I’m sorry I didn’t get the gentleman’s name who helped us but he was brilliant!
Looking at astro trainers for my son and a stick for myself, he listened then suggested, we wanted to make sure we’d made the right choices so he had lots of patience and nothing was too much trouble. I think I spent too long trying various sticks that were recommended as I’ve always had TK sticks but was prepared to try a different one this time. (I still think TK are great but fancied a change).
They have a small area where you can use a ball to test the sticks which is the best way to buy a new stick.
If you are looking for hockey equipment/kit then definitely pay them a visit.
I can’t recommend this shop enough and will definitely go back next time I need to change/add to my kit/equipment

Avoid this (online) store unless you are okay to be taken for a ride if there is a problem!

To start with, you will see promotion labels saying Free delivery to mainland UK for orders over £75. That is not the case, at the checkout, I was charged £1.50. But that is fine. I know what I am doing and accepted it although that meant the price is not longer competitive when the delivery charges are added.
I got the item promptly in 3 working days as promised (The 1 star is for that!). The item I got was clearly not brand new (or was tried by someone who got that item or at the very least a manufacturing issue!) - The velcro on the strap was not sticking properly, which is causing the chin guard and head guard to not properly be in their place. I contacted the customer care for a return (or a replacement of a really new item). They said I will have to pay for the return! When I replied and asked them if the want me to pay even for a faulty item, they were adamant that it is not faulty - yes velcro NOT sticking on a brand new item is NOT faulty!!! And they said it is a sizing issue that the chin and head guards is not staying in it's place because the velcro doesn't work!.
Eventually they said nothing doing and it was my problem to deal with the faulty item that they sent at the cost of my money (those were not the exact words, but that is what they meant) or pay more for to return!
Now I know how they make money to be able to put up items at a competitive price.

Great site to find. Ordered a new pool/snooker cue and case that turned up bang on time and exactly as described. Need to test the cue out to make sure it works...although this could be down to my abilities more than the stick. Only minor negative...and not detrimental to Cricket-Hockey.com...was using Fedex. Driver just left the parcel outside with no attempt to knock. They've had their own negative feedback about that though.

Would definitely use again!

I bought some bread flour from Sports Inside this week. There is a big shortage of bread flour and I was surprised that they even had it in stock. As I’d never heard of them I was a bit undecided as to whether I should place the order but the price was very reasonable so I gave it a go. They acknowledged the order by email and it arrived very well packed two days later. Excellent and 5 stars!

I ordered a new raquet for badminton having broken 2 last week, arrived next day in bomb proof packaging. It was half RRP so I bought 2 more today as spares. Great company

Purchased some shoes from them to pick up the same day. When I arrived I was told the shoes were not actually in stock and they would issue a refund immediately. Still waiting two weeks later. Contact is slow and pointless. The phone number doesn't actually put you through to anyone just an automated service. Will not be using again.
