Update (April 2, 2026): > Despite Sprintax's reply below claiming they are "actively working to resolve the issue," this is entirely false. Their agent (Allison) is completely ignoring the official IRS bank statements I provided and is still giving me factually incorrect information. They have not taken a single action to fix my delayed FICA claim or update my address with the IRS. Do not believe their PR replies.

If you are an international student or scholar, do yourself a favor and DO NOT pay for Sprintax's premium Post-Filing Service. You are essentially paying for a wall of canned responses.

I used Sprintax to file my 2023 FICA and Federal tax returns for my internship at Amazon. The IRS received my documents back in April 2024. Because I anticipated delays, I specifically paid extra for their Post-Filing Service, which promises that their tax experts will contact the IRS on my behalf if issues arise.

It has now been almost 24 months, and my refunds are still missing. I have provided every single document they asked for, including a hand-signed Form 8821 (authorizing them to speak to the IRS) and a Form 8822 (for an address change).

Instead of actually advocating for me, their customer service agents (Megan, Todor, Yana) just send me in endless loops of automated replies: "wait another 60 days," "wait another 8-10 weeks," or "your case is sent for review."

The worst part? When I explicitly asked them to provide the IRS Agent ID, the exact date of their call, or an IRS interaction reference number to PROVE they actually contacted the IRS using the service I paid for, they completely ignored the question. They cannot provide a single piece of evidence that they are actually doing the work.

Sprintax is happy to take your money for premium upgrades, but when it comes to actually picking up the phone and resolving a delayed case with the IRS, they leave you completely in the dark. Extremely unprofessional and incredibly frustrating.

I made a mistake checking out the Sprintax Forms, which I do not need as a Fulbright IIE participant. Mark helped me get it refunded. Thank you for assisting me on this.

The good things about sprintax is that it is easy to understand. But problem is that it is very difficult to enter the values in each cells from W2 form. Why not update the website so that one can upload the W2 and it automatically fills in the info, like other websites like TurboTax etc?

The answer was prompt, they took less than 12 hours and solved my issue.

This company seems legit when I filed my taxes in 2024, however when I filed 2025 (this year) tax. I found they are scamming people. Not only they fail providing critical information on time by themselves but they also failed in every aspect of responsibility. You are paying them something that can be done on IRS portal directly, I paid them for Federal E-filing which was never filed and same with state Tax. I have to reach out to them after 2 weeks why the status is not reflecting on IRS portal which should reflect within 24 hrs, then I got to know my E-filing was never filed by them.

Only reason people are using it as this is the only platform that ease life of students to file 1040NR however they are scamming clearly people.
