New app sucks! Very child like...hate the set up of accounts...The SunTrust app was better...hate the Truist app and the name! Get it together!

Truist is being run by kindergarten kids. Has to be, its the only thing that would make sense of the trash app with little features and a poorly designed app. Not sure how they think people would be happy navigating there garbage app. Switching banks just for that reason. Can't trust a bank that can't even maintain a proper app so that people can get the help they need in one place.

I am so pissed right now. I can't even view my checking account without the page freezing up or crashing. Truist flat out sucks!! I never once experienced any problems when it was BB&T. And the website looks terrible and the format is cheap. It's time for me to find another Bank to deal with.

Worst mobile banking around, they haven’t been able to fix it , I’ve tried on and off for the last 3 months and it never works, total nightmare and they can’t even fix the problem , customer service tells me to delete the app

Worst customer service ever experienced. Mortgage was transferred to suntrust and been trying to reach someone to assist with on line banking. Transferred for two hours, disconnected, requested a supervisor and tranferred again. On Hold for 30 minutes and then disconnected. Unable to pay mortgage no-one is available to assist.

i opened an account online Aug 19th. on Aug 23rd my account was “closed for review” never got an email or notification i only called the 800# bc the online app wasn’t working for me all weekend. i couldn’t access any of my funds & had already switched my 2 jobs to be deposited directly to suntrust (i had to changed after this situation tho thank the higher power) i called Aug 26th i was told a check for remaining funds would be mailed to me 5-7 business days. whatever. Something told me to call again so i called Aug 30st & was told my account was closed on Aug 24th and it usually takes a few days for a check to be processed and sent out so i should get it 7-10 business days. TODAY Sept 13th i call again (now 11 business days from supposed due date) & am told my account didn’t officially close until Sept 10th?????? and a check would be mailed out between 7-10 business days and i could call back in 3 business days to get a tracking number for it. this is beyond ridiculous and i feel like they just say whatever they want and based on alll their terrible reviews i feel like i’m never going to get that check for MY money. avoid this bank at all cost.

I'm a longtime customer for Suntrust…
I'm a longtime customer for Suntrust Mortgage, they automatically locked my account "because I didn't login often enough" (auto-pay continued of course, and my monthly payments continue to increase of course).
In order to "unfreeze" my account I had to call multiple Suntrust phone lines & talk to 4 associates across 4 different departments... but hey, they don't care! Anti-Trust laws are not a thing anymore... mega-corporations continue to merge with mega-corporations, reducing competition so that the little guy (you & I) get squeezed more & more and struggle to use the automated systems they they FORCE us to use. It would be comical if it wasn't so freightening where thing are headed.

The representative only know how to takecare of one transaction and the transfer to another department is over 10 min. wait time. After the waiting they still was not able to assist me in transfer money to another customer within Suntrust:( I have to go directly to the bank to make the tranfer.

Wish I could give less than one star. I've been at this bank over 20 years they have the worst customer service horrible management even worse policies.. they are crooks they will lie to you,tell you one thing do the exact opposite. Do not use SunTrust or truist whatever they want to be called. they use two different systems for online banking and what they see is not up to date and they will leave charges off so they can come back and try and charge you $35 later
.Federal prosecutors really need to dig deep into this company there is alot of illegal activities and shadow operations going on

Poorly trained customer service reps
I requested escalation to a supervisor since the service rep was not able to resolve my issue and she declined. Customer service 101 - you have to have an escalation process.
On hold for hours today
On hold for hours today. Nobody I spoke with could help. They are all afraid to give their names, must be used to it. No notice, except to say my payment is late, but I can't even get an account number. This has to be illegal at some level. Scary!

Same as couple experiences below. What horrible service. I have been hold for 1hour 20 minute and still no service. Call disconnected twice before.
My mortgage was transferred from Rocket Mortgage and all I want to do is setup autopay. They have not sent any communication with loan number and such, so don't have the option to do it all online..
Feel stuck and have already wasted more than 3 hours on this.. horrible service... so bad of Rocket Mortgage to transfer service so such poor business!!

Same as Allyson, But I’ve been disconnected twice this morning and I’ve currently been on hold for 30 minutes. Just want to set up autopay. You get thousands in interest, how about some customer service!

My mortgage was transferred to SunTrust (from Rocket--which was great). I have received nothing from SunTrust, so do not have my new mortgage number, needed to set up an on-line account. I've been on hold for an hour and 20 minutes.
Screw Suntrust!!
Only giving one star because I can’t give zero.
Banked with Suntrust after moving down south, right in the midst of covid. As with almost all of us, covid affecting me HEAVY! I had just enough $ to get my bills paid. But the second I went -$2 in my account, I was charged a $35 overdraft fee. Fine. Not unusual. But before I could even pay that off, more bills were automatically processing out of my account. Now, Suntrust did not pay the bills, so they did not add to my negative account, but they did charge me for the processing that didn’t go through. So there is another $35.
I started paying my bills from another account that I had $ in, while I saved up to pay Suntrust for the overdraft. Next thing I know, I’m over $500 NEGATIVE IN MY ACCOUNT & they were ALL FEES!!!
How the HELL am I supposed to pay that off, along with all my bills, while I’m laid off from covid?!! No help from customer service “it is what it is” kind of attitude.
I came up with some extra cash today and called to see if we could work out a lump sum deal (after which I was going to close my account) only to find out it went to collections. No email. No call.
This is the worst bank I’ve ever banked with!!! Insanely stressful situation I’ve been put in because of them.
