Ho fatto il mio primo acquisto sul sito, approfittando della campagna "Free shipping", inizialmente ero un po' diffidente ma mi sono ricreduta quando il mio pacco, è arrivato in meno di 7 giorni.
I prezzi dell'usato, forse sono un po' più alti rispetto a quelli che puoi trovare su Rakuten o Mercari però si paga sia per la qualità che per l'originalità dell'articolo; inoltre c'è da pagare solo una singola commissione di 500 yen, per tutto l'ordine, a differenza dei siti di acquisto intermediario.
Farò sicuramente un'altro ordine.

I bought some plush toys on suruga-ya during free shipping promo on 18.05.2024.. They were shipped with EMS on 20.05. and came to Latvia on 25.05.. I can say, the EMS post service is one of the fastest services I used to experience shipping with. All the toys were in very good condition and packed well. Thank you, suruga-ya company!

Absolutely amazing products. Each thing I bought came securely packed and in perfect condition. The prices are amazing and it only took 5 working days to get to the UK! (I ordered it saturday night and it arrived the next friday morning). I've already placed another order!

it shipped very quickly to sweden, i would recommend the website because they have merch for very cheap prices! Everything arrived perfectly, some things without the original packaging (but I already knew that), the box was huge for some small things but that’s the only “bad thing”

they really suck ass when calculating his prices, i ask for a doujin and is perfectly in EMS and only 20$, but i add another and change it to DHL and 26$, they really suck, even if they give you free shipping, the shipping is gonna be put in the taxes and with DHL is always tax paying plus his comission, dont use surugaya

Ho approfittato della promozione in corso "free shipping" e devo dire che in questo modo gli acquisti sono più convenienti perché bisogna pagare soltanto la dogana. Tempo di arrivo 12 giorni senza contare le feste di mezzo. Consigliato, soprattutto quando è in vigore questa promozione

I used their "free shipping" weekend to stock up on some Pokèmon and Minecraft merch, that is not available here in Germany.

The shop uses photographs of the actual items, instead of promotional pictures and they declare whether they have a defect or any other notable marks.

The items were declared as "used" and had no visual indication of wear on their website. When they arrived, they appeared to be mint condition. Most of them even still had their tags!

All in all a great buying experience. They were super fast in packing the order and delivering it to DHL Express. Ordered on the 31st of March, arrived on the 3rd of April.

I will definitely buy at Suruga-ya.com again!

The package has arrived but the content was terrible.
I've bought 4 used Gundam figure (Mobile suits Gundam series), still in their original packages; the site didnt't say anything about problems or defects. One of them has arrived without the original package, but wrapped in a plastic tape and with the 2 weapons curved. The other three has their original packages, but the plastic cover it's completly detached from the carton back plate (one is attache with some tape). Moreover, in one of them is missing an item included in the figure.
I've called them to notify the problem and after days of sending images, managment stickers etc., they've say that "Blisters are not guaranteed. Deformation of PVC is within our sales criteria" (never read in the site).

I can’t recommend this website enough. You can buy a huge variety of goods, whether it be anime collectibles, consoles, PCs, you name it. Sometimes the prices vary a lot, sometimes you can get a good deal, and sometimes something is WAY too expensive. Despite that, Surugaya has been my go to website whenever I want to buy some Japanese goods. Every so often, they even hold free shipping campaigns, so not only do you get good deals on some items, but they’re also promoting free shipping at times!! Absolutely amazing!

I also wanted to include, when I bought a poster in damaged condition (it claimed there was a stain on the back), it was actually very minimal. Most damaged products aren’t that bad at all.

And there is only one problem, sometimes your orders will get canceled if you don’t use paypal. Always make sure to use it when buying from this website.

Other than that, I am an active customer on this website and I’m proud of it! Praise Surugaya!! 🎉

One last thing to add, they also ship boxes that are oversized and inside the box will be your items on a piece of cardboard in shrink wrap. They even protect your items very well.

I wanted to buy a bunch of books and Suruga ya (English site) had a DHL free shipping promo. I bought 30 books and it was great. No issue with paying or ordering and it was soooo cheap. One of the books I ordered was brand new and just released in Japan and they happened to sell it for even cheaper. Commission was only a flat 500 yen which was AMAZING! My package got dropped off in the rain and I was worried but everything was plastic protected inside the box. Also, the JP idea of "used" is pretty much "like new/new" by USA standards, so almost everything was unbent/uncreased/new looking. I like that they have so much Ichiban Kuji merch because I love character goods.

Just got my 2nd order from them and I am very happy with it, just like the first! Their catalog is HUGE, so I was able to find items I had pretty much given up hope on finding for a reasonable price. All items arrived in great condition, clean & unbroken. I got a set of figurines that had been marked as used and all but one of them hadn't even been opened before. Really cool.

I will, however, warn of 2 things. These aren't deal breakers for me but I know others are bothered by them;

1. Their EN website's autotranslate is not very good. While item condition is usually described well, character names & series titles in particular get completely mangled. I would recommend finding the JPN keywords for whatever you're looking for and searching with those instead.

2. Both shipping boxes I received seemed inadequate for international shipping. To be fair, the way Suruga-ya packs items (at least in my orders, which are heavy on flat character goods & small boxes) is by shrink wrapping them to a flat piece of cardboard, so nothing is getting loose or wet in the box; but the boxes were still very thin and actually had entire sides that were unsealed! You could just lift it up and peek inside. Obviously, this did not result in any of my items being damaged, but I think this area could be improved.

To summarize: Know what you're getting into. While Suruga-ya is far from the best in terms of optimization, they're still a very useful site to look through from time to time.

It's a great website. I bought a couple of shirts from them, totalling about $120 ($90 for the first time and $30 second). They came quickly for a product from Japan (I live in the East Coast of the US) in under 5 days! They also do free shipping on Thursday at 8PM to Mondays at 4AM. A good recommendation is to buy on those days to use DHL since it comes way faster and it's free!

The first order from them was no problem, delivered fast and smooth. however, the second order was checked by CBP due to suruga-ya’s “SOP” invoice is unclear/misleading/no details of items I bought within the shipment. Contacted customer service to remind them should be more specific on their invoices otherwise this causes problem for custom clearance. The arrogant rep. said it is their SOP to issue invoice like that, they always did in that way, and I should sort it out myself with CBP. I was only making suggestion, and the customer service rep. was in total defense mode, total denial and takes no responsibility about what happened. Beware of this if you buy from North America, you may risk delayed or even lost the whole shipment as suruga-ya.com will not refund you for denied custom entry.

So there was a free shipping promotion so I figure to try buying from this site.
The next day of ordering, I found one of the item some how get doubled.
It is not a big deal as it is not so expensive, but I just wanna give it a try and ask if they could modify the order by taking the duplicated one off.
Then I wait for days but not response.
I thought they must be busy or I just didn't send to the correct email (I replied the confirmation email directly)
But about a week later, I suddenly receive a new email saying "We cancelled your order"
I was so confused, and wonder if there is any mistake, or they are gonna cancel the whole order and create another order just to get the duplicated item off.
So I replied immediately asking for the reason.
They started a new email saying "I canceled this transaction. I am waiting for the use of another.".
I don't understand what they mean for "waiting for the use of another", so I asked for explanation
A day later, they somehow replied to my original email asking to remove duplicate item (from a completely different address), saying they sent an email before and didn't hear back from me, so they cancelled the whole order.
They said they sent me an email about this:
We apologize that we could not cancel or change any items in the order.
For cancellation,
it is unable to cancel only one item,
but all items must be cancelled.

If necessary, maybe we can help you to cancel this order only this time.
Then, you can take another new order on our website again.

However, if you have the past cancllation request orders before,
we might cannot cancel the order for you.

Before canceling your order,
there are some important notes we have to let you know first as below.
........
First of all, I have never receive this email.
Second, I am ok if they are not able to remove one item, but why cancel my order?
It turns out after more than 20 lines of notes, they wrote: "If you don't reply this mail, we will cancel your order"
But when I never received this email, how could I even reply to it?
So I tried to talk to them and explain the situation and see if there is anything they can do.
They don't brother to check if any miscommunication/technical problem in between but just reply something like: You didn't reply our email so it is our policy to cancel your order. We waited long enough so there is nothing wrong with canceling your order. We have records for it so it is on you not to response.

After this experience, I will not contact their customer support after placing the order, just in case they somehow cancel it again

I thought this was a scam website at first because of its foreign appearance but quickly found that it's actually a great Japanese marketplace.

Suruga-Ya sells Japanese stuff at really good prices, and their offerings include many things you can't find on American websites or eBay, etc. It's fun to browse their site to see what unique stuff you can find.

They ship to America, and the shipping time is really good considering these orders are coming from Japan. Nothing I ordered took more than a week and a half to get here; I've ordered things from one state over that have taken longer to get to me!

I need to contact customer support once for something and received great service from their representative. They were both friendly and straight to the point, not wasting any time or going in circles. Much better than American companies' customer support.

Definitely recommend this site for people looking for rare and unique Japanese items for sale.
