Attention to detail and efficiency second to none with regards to the Purchase of my beautiful mini from Matt Smith at Sytner Coventry Branch. From the moment my wife and I entered the showroom at Sytner Mini Coventry, Louis the salesman was very helpful, always greeting us with a warm smile. Greater level of product knowledge required.
I was not particularly impressed by the lack of product knowledge of the Sales Executive who I dealt with within the dealership. I had expected a greater level of knowledge about the product, services and accessories being sold. Also, there was a lack of communication regarding progress of the order I had placed for a new vehicle and, in particular, I did not receive notification of the ‘Spec Amend’ date which I had expected, in the event that I had wished to make a revision to the order.

I traveled 250 miles to buy my first car from Omari Brown at Sytner and based on that experience less than 6 months later I did the same again for another car. A true gem of a salesman and real gentleman. The deal was good the transaction and turnaround time swift. Couldn’t be better.

Louis was extremely helpful, went above and beyond and was a lovely guy. He made the whole process of getting my car very simple and provided constant updates up until the day of collection. On the day of, he was a great help and made the experience enjoyable.

Sytner Mini Coventry - happy to sell an unsafe vehicle
I found a second hand Mini online in Sytner Group stock, which Coventry got in for me. I visited on Monday and was ready to make a cash purchase that same day.
The vehicle was exactly what I was looking for and I was willing to pay the asking price. Except for the fact that I noticed it had mismatched tyres on the rear axle (different manufacturer, tread pattern and rating). I asked them to change the tyre, or to take £80 off the asking price and I’d get it done, but the business manager refused to budge so I walked away.
What angered me the most was his incredibly arrogant attitude and the fact he was happy to sell me a car (for my daughter - a new driver) whose handling would have been compromised.

What does a customer mean to Sytner - really?
Whilst the overall experience was good I just feel that when you’re spending a sizeable amount of money on purchasing a new car the small things that Sytner could do to acknowledge this are missing! Sure they put your name in the window of the new car and a “ribbon” on the bonnet but they could do far more to acknowledge how valued you are as a customer.
They could: put a full tank of fuel in the car; they could offer you a discounted service for the first three years; they could offer you a discount when you’ve bought three cars from them in 4 years! But …. That would mean. Them making less money off their customers - where does loyalty count to Sytner?

AN AWFUL EXPERIENCE AT SYTNER (BMW) MINI, COVENTRY.
Word of warning, ignore the unbelievably high ratings! To say the least, my wife & I were extremely disappointed with our aftersales experience at Sytner (BMW) Mini Coventry.
Firstly, we must point out that this review in no way reflects on the sales person, Jordan Wilson, who in our opinion, is a credit to the Company and who certainly went the extra mile for us. But upon collecting our Mini Countryman, we were extremely shocked to find human PHLEGM all over the steering wheel and also on the interior drivers door handle! The car was also dirty outside and poorly valeted.
In addition, we had been assured that a small dent we had spotted on the cars' bonnet would be repaired before collecting our car on 28/09/2023, but the dent was still there.
It had not been touched!
This despite the car having been on site at Sytner Coventry for several weeks, whilst awaiting fitment of new alloy wheels we had ordered, that seemingly took an eternity to arrive.
Upon reporting these issues to the staff present at the time, there was an incredibly hubristic reaction and couldn't care less attitude from all but Jordan, which we found very, very, disappointing.
My wife was extremely upset, as she touched the steering wheel & her hands were covered in someone else's mucus!
This was eventually followed up by a disingenuous apology over the phone, from Dave Evans, who I believe was the "Brand Manager"at Sytner, (BMW) Mini Coventry(?)
& THAT was it!
This phone call seemed to me, to only be as a result of my one star rating, in a post sales marketing questionnaire........
There was no option to give a ZERO!
The car itself is ok, despite having only one decent new tyre, but I have little or no trust in Sytner (BMW) Mini Coventrys' aftersales now, particularly as our daughter has also had a bad experience with them too, with her Mini Countryman.
In my opinion, BMW need to be aware of this extremely poor level of "Customer Service".
But they don't seem to care either.
Shame on you, BMW!
This adverse review comes from someone who rarely complains, but who completely values both Quality Control & Customer Service.
Unfortunately, it seems that once Sytner (BMW) Mini, Coventry, have your money, they couldn't care less about you!
Please be aware of their extremely shoddy "Customer Service", if you are thinking of using this dealership.
They really need more competition in the local area, then they would probably have to up their game.
They haven't heard the last of this, as, in my opinion, the spitting/phlegm/mucus incident was completely inexcusable & disgusting!
Both my wife & I were shocked & extremely upset about it & following the incident, whether or not it was purely coincidental, we both caught colds shortly afterwards.
Our "New Car Experience" was completely ruined by Sytner (BMW) Mini, Coventry.
We really should have refused to accept the car in the condition it was presented, as many customers would have done.
But we were both just too shocked & upset to think straight at the time.
Avoid this dealership, if you have high expectations and please don't delete this completely honest review again, as it is a genuine warning to prospective BMW Mini & Sytner customers.......
