We walked into Volvo with the idea of changing vehicles from petrol to full electric. After being in the show room for 10 minutes we over heard 2 members of staff talking saying “ are you going to deal with them or me?” Actually neither of them came over. Then entered Greg, what a super star, he gave us so much information about the xc30 we couldn’t say no. Greg is a huge asset to the business and probably now have all our future car purchases.

My wife and I are treated like old friends when we visit Chester Volvo. We are known by our first names (which we like). We are offered comfortable seats, coffee of choice and a quick catch up since the last visit. Our car needs are resolved and we like the clean and wash service.

Haven't learnt one year on....
Great service team with swift booking and always polite.
Always like the sharing of a video so you can see and hear the inspection taking place.
Wanted my vehicle by 3pm and had a text at 1pm.saying it was ready.
The one area that let them down was the supposed cleaning of the vehicle. This also happened last year..
Only the upper sides had been cleaned, wheels and lower area not touched and there is a dirt streak running in the middle of the roof as they could not reach the full width...
I have fed this back and they have agreed to do a full valet but this is the 2year this has happened hence the score..

David was most helpful
David was most helpful with nothing being too much trouble when selecting, viewing and test driving cars.
When a car I was interested in sold before I had finalised my decision, he suggested similar vehicles, sending videos to me at home electronically. It turns out after that, I have ended up with the best selection possible and I am extremely happy with it. It couldn't have turned out better.
My new car was presented to me on collection in immaculate condition and looked superb.
All the staff I met and who spoke to me were very friendly and helpful. If I had a suggestion to improve further it would be to upfront and clear on servicing regimes from the outset as it can take the shine off that purchasing high when presented later on. Also, the technical handover could be shorter and focus on most crucial details. It has helped me but I do like to read and learn from documents and get hands on in my own way.

gone downhill since takeover
Rang 8:30 and went through their lengthy auto response system. Left message, to which they said would get reply within hour. They rang back at 12:15. Did not take my car for service there this year as was not impressed with last year's service. This garage seems to have gone downhill since being taken over.

Six hour wait to get car serviced!!
Although I can't fault the service itself, the service staff took forever to do it and I was annoyed to have to wait six hours at the dealership. This is much too long to have to wait. Even after the paperwork was processed, I waited over twenty minutes for my car to be cleaned, which I told them not to bother to do as I had waited long enough, but they went ahead and did it anyway. They had an hour to do it after I arrived in the morning because the car wasn't put on the ramp until 11.30, one hour after my appointment time (so they were running late). I did get a quick "sorry about the delay" as I was given my car keys, but it was very insincere. Therefore, I want to say that there was not much consideration given to me for the long wait I had as no one throughout it came to explain the reason for the delay, so I felt they weren't bothered.
