I purchased a pair of Hoka running shoes from Takers Sports. Unfortunately, the delivery with DPD went wrong when they incorrectly marked my parcel as a "return to store" after one attempted delivery, even though I wanted to keep the items.

I contacted Takers Sports' customer service to explain the situation and was initially reassured over the phone that I would not be charged for a return delivery fee for this carrier error. However, this promise was not upheld. Despite my clear explanation of the problem being DPD's mistake, Takers Sports was ultimately not willing to help by refunding the incurred delivery charge.

While the initial response on the call seemed understanding, the final outcome was disappointing. A company's customer service is truly tested by its actions, not just its initial words. In this case, they failed to follow through and rectify an issue that was out of my control.

Final Verdict: 2/5 Stars
One star for the initial product selection and ordering process. One star for the polite initial phone manner. However, I must deduct three stars for the failure to take responsibility for the carrier's error and honour the reassurance given to me, leaving me out of pocket. This experience has eroded my trust, and I would be hesitant to shop with them again.

Recommendation for future buyers: Be aware that if a third-party carrier makes an error, you may be left to bear the cost, even if customer service initially sounds sympathetic.

Great service...best price for the Nike shorts i could find...better than sports direct and quicker delivery.

Rather give my money to Tasker than Mike Cashley!!
Brilliant experience

I purchased a pair of Nike HyperKO boxing boots from this store in December 2024. They have only been worn twice a week on appropriate indoor surfaces, yet the fabric has already torn. For a premium product at this price point, this level of durability is completely unacceptable.

I’ve contacted the store twice via email, attaching clear photos and referencing my consumer rights, but I’ve received no response at all. The lack of communication is incredibly frustrating and unprofessional.

To make matters worse, it raises serious questions about the authenticity of the product. When a well-known branded item begins to fall apart within months of light use — and the seller refuses to engage — it does make you wonder whether the goods are genuine.

Based on this experience, I can’t recommend this store. Poor product quality, zero accountability, and no after-sales support whatsoever.

I found the product I was looking for and although was a little apprehensive of ordering as mot heard of Taskers before, I have to say I needn't have worried. Absolutely 5 star service from start to finish. Communication and delivery super quick and really pleased with my purchase (Nike running jacket). Will definitely use again, highly recommend.

Taskers popped up on a search for a specific pair of Merrells I was looking for. Placed the order yesterday and the shoes arrived via DPD today. Had never bought from them before, but can’t really say fairer than that.

Bought some Hokas from them for the best price I could find anywhere else online & also got 10% new customer discount! Absolute bargain, 100% authentic, super fast delivery via DPD. Will use again. Thanks!

Thought I’d write a review as there aren’t many about and I’ve never shopped from this site before. I ordered a pair of Nike Metcon 8 trainers that were on clearance luckily in my size, so I ended up paying about £30 less than I could find them elsewhere. The delivery was super quick and the postage charge was reasonable. All round great service, can’t fault them.

Very poor customer service don’t send receipts for their purchases made online, had to go direct to mammut £200 jacket with no receipt or warranty, rang email even mammut tried to get receipt and nothing waste of time, again we were refused help from
Their management saying they don’t have receipts more than 3 months, they are a joke , very suspicious seems reading reviews you do this a lot to other customers NEVER BUY FROM TASKERS

Great price on 2 pairs of Nike trainers super quick delivery. Highly revommended.
