Almost Four Months, No Functional Website — Refund Required a Chargeback
We subscribed to TCGSync’s full package and dealt directly with Damo, the owner, throughout almost the entire process.
This experience lasted nearly four months from the date we subscribed. Despite TCGSync advertising that customers can be fully onboarded within 48 hours, we still did not have a properly functioning website after almost four months. Nothing worked as it should.
From the beginning, Damo was regularly late to scheduled meetings, missed two meetings entirely, and repeatedly failed to complete the work he promised. One meeting was moved, while another was missed without any reply or explanation.
The meetings themselves were often unproductive. Damo barely walked us through the website before finding an issue somewhere and spending almost the entire meeting focused on that single problem. He would then say he was in a rush and reschedule the rest of the meeting. This happened while many important features and issues remained unresolved.
We requested several basic features and fixes, including additional administrator access, another language, new user access, and a functioning password-reset feature. Damo repeatedly told us these items had been completed, but when we checked, they had not been implemented. The website was also unreliable and would sometimes be accessible and other times not work at all.
After one meeting, we clearly agreed that we would schedule a follow-up the following week to review the outstanding fixes. When we later contacted Damo to arrange that meeting, he responded by asking what the meeting was supposed to be about, despite the purpose having already been clearly discussed.
Eventually, we requested a refund. After approximately one to two weeks, one of Damo’s employees responded and told us that the refund had been issued, that it would take seven to ten business days, and that Damo was not available at that moment to answer us directly.
Three weeks passed, but no refund appeared. I sent another email and received no response. I waited an additional week because, during several meetings, delays, and rescheduling requests, Damo had mentioned that he or someone close to him was dealing with medical issues or going to the hospital. I genuinely tried to remain understanding and patient because of this.
Even after emailing them to explain that I was currently speaking with my credit-card company, I still received no response. I ultimately recovered my money only by filing a chargeback. The refund that we had been told was already issued never arrived.
After later reading another customer’s comments accusing Damo of dishonest conduct, I unfortunately began questioning whether our experience was more than simple disorganization. I cannot speak about anyone else’s situation, but in our case, nearly four months passed without a functional website, the advertised 48-hour onboarding never happened, promised work was not completed, features were said to be finished when they were not, meetings were late or missed, the service was unreliable, communication eventually stopped, and the promised refund was never received.
The entire experience was a major waste of our time, and based on what happened, I would not recommend TCGSync.
