A fairly rigorous and effective TEFL…
A fairly rigorous and effective TEFL certification course.
I found the work engaging and pretty much everything to be useful. Critical thinking was encouraged and course materials were helpful.
Good value for the cost, and very helpful feedback from instructors.
Take note however that the some assignments and quizzes may vary wildly in needed time and effort.

To be frank
To be frank, I am glad I choose this platform for TEFL/TESOL Course. The platform cares about their students and go beyond the course to teach you how write a good C.V and provide job opportunities for their students. That's generous.

Go elsewhere for your TEFL studies.
I paid my money. I studied for many months. I went to pay the extra amount to extend my study time. I was then told, that they wanted more money on top of the extension money. I declined, so they dismissed all the hours I put into the course. Sad to see a gross lack if integrity.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We're sorry to hear about your experience.
From what you've described, we're not sure this relates to a course with The TEFL Org, as this isn't how our courses work. We don't delete active coursework, and if a student extends their course access, they can continue from exactly where they left off without losing any of their completed work.
It's possible you may be referring to another course provider. Please get in touch with our team, and we'll check to see if you have an account with us, we will then do everything we can to help you further.

Got the 120-TEFL course in just 3 weeks…
Got the 120-TEFL course in just 3 weeks as I was excited for the opportunity. Then, I applied to dozens of schools (private, public), academies, private tutoring, online tutoring and every position mentioning ESL/ESOL/EFL and got nothing. Didn’t get even a single call for interview whether in gulf countries, far east, or even the US.
Just a big waste of time for non-native speakers

Thank you for sharing - we are sorry to hear that your search has been difficult.
Here’s a short, clear reply that covers both points:
Thank you for your review. In most cases, employers will only consider applications once the course is fully completed and the certificate is issued, as it’s part of their eligibility checks. It’s also worth noting that some countries and employers have strict nationality or visa requirements, which can limit who they’re able to hire.
If you’d like support with your job search once certified, we’re here to help.

My Third Advanced Course
This was the third advanced course I've completed. It was outstanding just like the others I have taken. As a teacher for over thirty years, I can tell you that so many online courses lack appropriate objectives, content, and structure. In addition, they are boring and irrelevant. TEFL.org has found the perfect method for developing online courses. They are all equally balanced with theory and practice and can be successfully applied to lesson plans. The course I just completed, Teaching English for Academic Purposes, has given me so many suggestions to assist my students. Great practical applications! Another point I would like to make is that the assignments are so well thought out. I have actually looked forward to completing them because I have learned so much from doing them and they can be used in the classroom or online. As always, I so appreciate the valuable feedback and constructive suggestions from my tutor, Thomas, pertaining to my assignments. I will probably take another advanced course in the future because I find each one an invaluable resource!

Overall Great Experience
I did the 250 hour TEFL course as well as their online teaching practice course and both were great! the 250 hour course is really good for anyone who doesn't have a lot of teaching experience, and on top of that the online teaching practice provided me with a bit of a confidence boost. Richard was our course teacher and was very helpful and kind through the three day teaching practice.

Loved my learning experience
I've completed two courses from The TEFL Org and now feel ready and excited to begin my career as an English-as-a-second-language teacher! I found the courses to be very comprehensive in terms of the material and the learning environment was relaxed, encouraging and friendly. I experienced quick response times from my tutor when it came to getting marks and feedback for my assignments, as well as whenever I needed to ask her questions. I would recommend The TEFL Org to anyone who's interested in learning how to become a great English teacher.

Fantastic experience in TEFL
It's great to take the courses module by module, which gives me clear guidance in terms of English teaching. Also, tutors provide constructive feedback so that I can have a solid foundation concerning PPP lesson structure. What's better, there are plethora of teaching resources, websites, teaching activities, and teaching materials included, which can also come in handy for future teaching scenarios. All in all, I have a wonderful experience in TEFL, and I have much more confidence in my future teaching career.

Working towards connection
The course was very informative>Although I had taken classes in the past, this course was a good review for me. I needed it to get up to speed
It was frustrating, at times, to get the feedback. There was a time lapse since I live in the U.S, and you have your headquarters in England. I just wished I could pick up the phone and. talked to Alex. But that isn't a possibility. That was a frustrating feeling.. That i my man complaint. It felt rigid and impersonal.
I am not saying that Alex wasn,t helpful. He was. But I had a feeing f disconnect. I suggest that you work on that aspect of the class

Great and easy to follow lessons.
The material and the way things were explained was great, I really enjoyed going through the lessons. It was nice to do it all at my own pace and all the homework was graded very quickly. For the most part any questions I had was answered quickly, however there was a time or two when I had a simple question and it took three days to get a clear answer and for some reason caused a lot of confusion. Everything was easy to figure out however I did have a problem of the lessons not showing up as complete and I would have to go back through and reselect them for it to work. I am unsure if this was my problem or not. I am very glad I do this and would recommend it to anyone wanting to learn.

We also appreciate you highlighting the occasions where responses took longer than expected - normally a reply should come within 48-hours so please reach out to the customer service team if you find it takes longer. They can look into this further.
