On site, photographers were great. The experience ordering pictures is abysmal as their website is absolutely horrifically bad. First, the images do not load and i needed to chase up support. Their billing system is so sketchy my antivirus flags it and says not to use it. Due to terrible website design, it doesnt actually tell you if you are ordering a picture in the right orientation, which is a problem when you want to order landscape pictures and have no idea if you are getting the right one or of the crap website is putting you down for the wrong one. Also, you cant even use the same account if you had a previous graduation, as there is no place on the website to register new photos. However in billing, it doesnt allow you to use the same email address as your old account.

This is GCSE computer science tier mistakes. Throw this whole website away and go to squarespace...

Atrocious service, apathetic staff. Requested that they look for my graduation photos and waited nearly an entire year. Checked on the progress on multiple occasions and when I finally became snippy nearly a year later I was met with a petty response from Jenna who decided that they had magically finished the search at that moment and so wouldn't be looking for my photos any longer. Disgusting company that will force you through the most frustrating process it can then act like you're the unreasonable party for being frustrated. Don't expect any customer service or communication from them, or for them to care about your experience at all

RIP OFF! Most “Packs” is only for one photograph, why the hell would I want the same photo multiple times?! Why can’t one select different photos within the pack? What a way to make money out of struggling students

I thought that graduation photographs would be an awkward and disjointed but it was made really special and enjoyable by Tempest. Dawn was lovely and very professional, turning something I was slightly nervous for into a pleasant experience that enhanced the day. The photographs turned out really well and I was very happy with them.
I can’t recommend Tempest enough for graduation photography. Thank you so much Dawn!

I rang them to order their starter pack of 3 photos = 1 x 10x8 and 2 x 8x6 photos for £32. I gave the lady the reference numbers as I wanted 1 large and 1 small of one photo and a small one of another photo. I was told I couldn’t mix and match unless I paid an additional £26. I decided they can keep their business. Their loss!!

Outrageous price structure. Nearly 40£ (plus shipping) for ONE digital copy!! The company is clearly exploiting students who wish to purchase a nice memory of their graduation with their families. How the person who came up with this can sleep at night is beyond me.

If I am able to give 0 review I will they don’t even deserve 1, jeez this is day light robbery, very expensive, low quality and they never pick calls, customer service is very poor. 6 pounds for delivery and you still get it after 28days. Very unprofessional, has to be my biggest mistake.

£55 for one print of my graduation and the exact same image stored in a USB drive. And then they have the cheek to charge another £6 for postage and delivery! How is this possible? Absolutely atrocious. It's clear how they can charge such prices and survive as a business: because universities allow them. It's a monopoly, so they can charge ludicrous prices without any competition or alternative (other than taking your own pictures). I would very much like to understand how Tempest got in such a cosy position with the universities. There must have been a bidding process, but I wonder what set of criteria was applied. I bet that customer service wasn't among them. But anyhow, if you start your adulthood already heavily into student debt, a few more quid won't make much of a difference, right?

I am a returning customer (not by choice, but because graduation ceremonies give you no choice) and found that, as a returning customer, the price was HIGHER than ordering as a new customer. So I had to create a new account to get the lower price. No apology, just an email from JB, a
Direct Orders Assistant, saying that the "issue was known, but beyond her control"!!!!! They also could not take payment from an overseas card and/or address (like graduation ceremonies don't include international students and their families??)

I could accept the price if the service was even half decent.
No Order updates , chased out of pure frustration was just sent a tracking number, No recognition of their failure to achieve their own delivery promise.
Get some decent photos around the campus it will mean more longer term. Shocking service

Prices are a joke - come on Universities surely you can do better?

Extortionate prices. Zero Flexibility in pricing so you are forced to pay ridiculous amounts if you want different photos of your special day.
Friendly staff on the phone, after waiting for 20 minutes. Wish universities would demand better for their students.

Tempest is genuinely an evil company. A member of my family just passed away, and the last picture I have with them was taken by tempest at graduation, so immediately I wanted this picture so that it could be displayed at her funeral. I purchased the ridiculously priced physical copy, hoping this would surely come with a digital download to - of course it did not. Tempest said it would take around 28 days to get the physical copy, which is too long as the funeral is much sooner. I then emailed tempest explaining the emotional situation, and they sent the most apathetic response, simply saying I could purchase a digital copy by ringing a number. I then proceeded to do this, to be told that a digital copy would cost me £20 since I had already purchased the physical version (£46). This seemed utterly ridiculous - would it really hurt them just to send me the image, considering I’d already spent £46 to have it?! So I told the lady on the phone that I would instead like to cancel the order of the physical copy and just pay the £20 for the digital instead. However, she then proceeded to tell me that if I was to cancel my physical order, the digital copy would now cost me £40. £40!!! For a digital image!!!! Absolute robbery. This naturally pushed me over the edge, causing me to hand the phone over to my partner because it was just too upsetting and overwhelming. I just wanted this image to remember my gran - it’s an incredibly emotional time and tempest were so unhelpful and unsympathetic. I agreed to pay the disgraceful price of £40 for the digital copy, and I am still yet to receive this. Such a nasty company, simply out to make as much profit as possible.

Very disappointing service for such a well known company. They were the appointed photographer for University of Lincoln graduations. The photographer for the 2.30 pm slot on the 8th Sept. Only just got there in time to take a selection of poor quality distance photos. Also turns out she didn't bother to take any photos at all for a out 8 to 10 mins( so no photo of my son) a moment in time that can never be got back. Would not recommend this company. Clearly using staff who have no idea how to use a camera 🤔

Photographer was old-fashioned had an awful attitude. They take 28 days due to policy to print as they have “SYSTEM ISSUES” with no technology to fix.
I don’t live in the UK and asked their help to prioritise 10 days but they offer me to “CANCEL” the order of l am not happy and not have the graduation photos in return.

I mean really, £33 for 1 soft copy of an image and £17 for the next one?

How do you calculate the cost of these products?

Please reconsider your pricing or at least tell the customers about the prices when you take their pictures so that we can organise an alternative.

Terribly priced and took a whole month to deliver, and worst of all there's no option to buy a digital copy!

Absolutely amazing service. It was my brothers ceremony and they were so kind and made sure the pictures are perfect. After being at BCU graduation last week for my other sibling where they rushed and just wanted the queue to go. I can ensure Tempest graduations are much better. They made sure the whole family was standing perfectly for the photograph and not rush. Debby and Bradley were brilliant. They waited for us as the family were running late. Thank you from Haider’s family.

I had my graduation on 6th July 2022, and it was a very important event for me because it was the final day of my 6-year degree. Everything I worked for was being presented on that day, and I was hoping (as is expected with these events) that I would get at least 1 photo on the stage with the other graduands. Unfortunately, I expected too much of this company.

The photographer was unable to take the image and missed a few of us whilst we went on stage. Of the total, most of the photographs were blurred, angled, grainy and of amateur quality. It was shocking.

I thought something went wrong and it was a mistake but upon contacting Tempest, they were not helpful at all. Instead, they were rude and stand-offish - not what I expected at all for a company that has been doing 'professional' photography for years at various university events.

I am more than disappointed with this company, I am shocked that they were unable to even give me an explanation or show some empathy for a mistake on their part.

For any university or organisation looking to hire a photography company, please AVOID this company at all costs. They will not treat your graduates with respect because they know they can get away with it. Go with a better, more reputable company, even if it's smaller and less established. A company like this has gotten away with poor quality and service for far too long, and organisations are oblivious to this - I will be making a complaint to my organisation so they are aware.

For anyone else reading this, please also make a complaint to your university/organisation to make them aware. It will help prevent future graduates from receiving the poor service that they don't deserve, after years of hard work and sacrifice. They need to be made aware otherwise nothing will happen.

Tempest is genuinely a awful company that will 100% ruin your graduation. I had taken family pictures with my parents and paid £95 for the family pictures aswell as the pictures of myself however I just received the same picture of myself 6 times.
