Exactly what we wanted. Very straightforward and professional and did an excellent job.

DO NOT LET HER TOUCH YOUR CAT!!!

Cancelled our first appointment. Didn't turn up for a 10am appointment until I text to ask where she was at 11.30, she then went to the wrong address 20 minutes away. Partner let her in as I was in a meeting, came down and she had my cat scruffed on our coffee table, kept saying it was the only way to groom her. I took over holding the cat and pretended to scruff because she kept insisting I did. Shaved some matts then started aggressively yanking at fur with a comb, cat was upset, I explained it hurts her when you do that, she said no it doesn't it's dead fur. I said it's still tangled in with attached fur! She said she'd shave instead so she shaved one or two more times and I just wanted her out as quickly as possible after that. Paid £100 and just wanted my poor cat to be left alone. The experience has put me off every hiring another groomer, I'd rather buy clippers and gently do it myself so as not to traumatise my poor good natured cat :( Feeling very guilty and upset because when I googled the name Katherine Stevens from her bank details I see there's lots of reviews saying the same thing under all these different business names.

Unfortunately I contacted the first time to get my cat groomed by this company. Messed me about and did not come on time. Then she gave me another day however I was not available. So told Katherine Stevens that I will get in touch on a later date.

Contacted the 2nd time feeling hopeful. She said she arrived to the house, she knocked and then called as we did not answer the door within the minute. I told her the door was open and she was nowhere to be seen. I called her multiple times and sent texts but sadly everything was ignored by her. VERY unprofessional, do not go with the company, will be messed around!!

I’m genuinely surprised this groomer still has a 3.2-star rating on Trustpilot given there's a recent review appears to be 1 star.

My experience was disappointing from the very first phone call. I contacted her last week to enquire about booking a grooming appointment for my kitten. As a first-time cat owner, I simply had a few questions before confirming a booking.

During the conversation, the tone felt quite dismissive and unwelcoming. She repeatedly emphasised how experienced she is and spoke in a way that felt somewhat condescending because I am new to cat ownership. I asked about grooming options, specifically whether a water bath might be possible and how it compares to a waterless bath. I understand that water baths can sometimes stress cats, and I was only seeking professional advice on what might be best.

Instead of explaining this calmly, I was told that giving my cat a water bath would be “torturing” my cat. I found this comment unnecessary and unprofessional, especially when I was simply trying to learn what would be appropriate for my kitten.

I did not confirm the booking at the time because I felt uncomfortable with the tone of the conversation. However, this morning she messaged me again asking if I was still interested in the grooming appointment. Although I was hesitant after the earlier interaction, I do need my kitten to be groomed, so I decided to confirm the booking.

Before she arrived, I had already sent my full home address along with clear instructions on how to find my flat. Shortly before the appointment, she called and asked where my place was. From our window we could see that she had parked in a random area of the building where parking is restricted.

While she was on the phone asking for directions, my husband kindly informed her that she should park in the visitor parking area to avoid being fined. She replied “thanks”, but in what came across as an annoyed tone, and then ended the call quite abruptly.

We continued looking out the window to see if she had managed to find the visitor parking space, as she mentioned during the call that she could not locate it. In reality, the visitor parking area was directly behind her car. A short while later, we saw her drive away without any further communication. The appointment was effectively cancelled without any message or explanation.

The interaction felt very unprofessional and discourteous. From the phone call to the way the appointment was handled, the level of customer service was extremely disappointing.

After this experience, I decided to look up her reviews online and realised there are many negative reviews on Trustpilot. In hindsight, I should have done more research before contacting her. I also noticed from other reviews that the business appears to have operated under different company names. I originally contacted her through a website called “The Mobile Cat Groomer”.

In the end, it may be for the best that the appointment did not go ahead, as the overall experience did not give me confidence in how my kitten would have been treated.

Based on this experience, I would advise other pet owners to carefully review the feedback available online before booking. A professional groomer should communicate respectfully and handle appointments reliably, especially when working with pet owners who are simply seeking guidance.

I have carried out quite a bit of research and feel it’s important to share what I found so others can make an informed decision.

The individual listed on the website as “Louise” corresponded with me via email under the name Katherine Stevens. During my research, I also found that Katherine Stevens previously traded under the name “The Mobile Cat Groomer.”

When I searched further, I came across a number of negative reviews - not just on Trustpilot, but on other review platforms and social media forums as well. The themes within those reviews raised enough concern for me that I decided it would be in the best interest of my pets to cancel the booking.

I cannot comment on the service personally as I did not proceed with the appointment. However, based on the information available online, I would strongly advise anyone considering this service to conduct thorough research, check multiple review sources, and satisfy themselves fully before booking..

I even messaged Katherine to let her know what I had found (as it could have been a coincidence) and she completely ignored the information and didn't even defend herself. I also supplied her with links to the sites I had found.
