This trip was a dream come true! From the moment I saw the itinerary, I knew I had to go and take my sister with me. The planning and getting there was seamless, with the help of JD and The Travel Cafe Cape Town. We really appreciated the Zoom calls prior to our trip to get more details and have questions answered.
It was all amazing but the biggest surprise for me was how much I loved Cape Town. What a beautiful, clean, friendly, metropolitan city. There was so much to see and do, without spending hours on a bus. The small group is the way to go. Such a personalized, attentive feeling you get at every destination!
Timbivati was amazing but different than what I thought it was going to be like. Honestly I thought there would be more wildlife and not so hard to get a sighting. But it was kind of like going on a hunt! The landscape was breathtaking, at sunrise and sunset. Not having a whole bunch of other vehicles, competing for space and sightings was also great. Definitely a more private experience. We loved the stops to chat, eat, and drink midway through the drive. It was such a special, luxury camp, and the setting, food, ambiance and people were fantastic.
Truly a boutique five star experience, in the middle of the bush!
Victoria Falls, the Royal Livingstone Hotel and steam train dinner just capped off a perfect trip. Everyday we said, “oh it can’t get much better than this” but it always did. There were surprises around every corner.
Our trip was EPIC. We truly felt like family by the end and were happy to meet and spend time and experiences with Francois and your mom and dad. For Kathy and I, family is EVERYTHING so it was great to feel like we fit right in with yours ❤️. We loved having a personal, professional photographer too!!! So many great pictures to cherish and remind us how blessed we were to experience Africa, on an authentic adventure that will remain embedded in our hearts. Thank you.

Highly recommend choosing The Travel Café for your trip! The personal attention, eye for detail and the great hidden gems that they know made our trip to Namibia complete! It was the most amazing trip and we loved it!! From cozy b&bs, to beautiful safari lodges and great activities and taking care of arranging the rest of the travel. You can simply get on a plane and not worry about anything, because they took care of it before you thought about it.

De retour d'un séjour du 27 novembre 2023 au 16 décembre, passé en Afrique du Sud, par "Thé Travel Café", nous tenons à féliciter François et JD et toute leur équipe, sans oublier Florence qui nous à accompagnée du début à la fin de notre périple, pour la qualité de leur prestation,le voyage à été organisé de façon parfaitement millimétré d'un bout à l'autre jusqu'au moindre détail, dans un petit livret très bien construit.
Vous nous avez fait découvrir un bien joli pays qui mérite franchement d'être visité. Alors si les lecteurs de ce petit message souhaitent visiter ces paysages Africain, je peux témoigner que Thé Travel Café est une excellente adresse que je recommande vivement sans hésiter. Ces deux personnes sont très accueillantes, parfaitement organisées, et ce qui ne gate rien très sympathiques.

We had literally the best experience after working together with the Travel Cafe! They were so helpful and professional and together we created the perfect itinerary for our trip through South Africa and Namibia. Their expertise and genuine passion Africa showed through our conversations and that is definitely what resulted in the unforgettable trip we made. Throughout the whole trip we were worry free and didn't encounter any unexpected circumstances which was ideal. Would recommend for a trip through Africa!

Merci aux équipes sur place pour leur disponibilité, pour les liens que j'ai pu tisser également avec les locaux. Un grand merci également à Ruben, Eddy, David etc...😍. Que du bonheur d'avoir fait votre connaissance. Pour ceux qui seraient tentés par une aventure dépaysante n'hésitez pas, vous ne serez pas déçus. Bonne gastronomie également.

J'ai beaucoup aimé les paysages avec les montagnes qui nous entouraient. L'approche avec les animaux dans le parc Krugger.
Le séjour itinérant est très complet et agréable du fait du petit nombre de participants.
Cela restera un très bon souvenir.

J'ai vraiment adoré la journée du Cap de Bonne Espérance. C'était super bien équilibré. Les safaris sont gravés dans mon disque dur !
Très bonne communication, c'était chouette. J'aime bien cette appl Travel Key. Une fois qu'on l'a apprivoisée, c'est vraiment pratique.
Les hébergements étaient parfaits agréables calmes douillets. J'ai adoré Starry Starry Night !

I cannot recommend The Travel Cafe enough. JD and his team planned a trip I will remember for the rest of my life. We traveled to South Africa for a friends wedding, so we spent some time in Cape Town, Franschhoek (wine country), and then to Kruger for a Safari. All of the accommodations were absolutely wonderful and exceeded our expectations. JD and his team were super helpful with restaurant recs and reservations throughout the entire trip. They even helped fetch my husband’s bag when it got left in a transport vehicle. I can’t say enough great things about them. We will def be back to Africa and we will be using them!

I cannot recommend The Travel Cafe enough - I wish I could give more than 5 stars. My expectations were blown out of the water and I’m so glad to have worked with JD & his team. We have just returned to the UK after the most fantastic holiday in the western Cape organised by JD. We stayed in some utterly amazing hotels, ate in some fabulous restaurants and did some amazing excursions all organised by this very knowledgeable and friendly South African 😁. Je recommande à 100% the travel café. François et Audrey, nous ont organisés un voyage sur mesure, hôtels parfaits et programme au top. Les conseils de François tout au long de notre séjour étaient les bienvenus.

Alexis s'étonne qu'il n'y ait pas de volets en Afrique du Sud :-) Pour ma part j'ai vécu 3 jours sans sèche cheveux à Starry Starry Night mais sans valise aussi !! Comme quoi le dénuement ça fait du bien !! Sincèrement les hébergements étaient top et très bonne literie partout.
On a aimé les formules de 3 nuits par étape ça laisse le temps de se poser !
Vous avez toujours été présents. J'ai aimé pouvoir réserver l'hélico sans me préoccuper de chercher par moi-même. Votre souplesse aussi pour le changement des restos. Le partage ensemble autour du Braai avec vous deux. Merci pour tout !

Thanks to The Travel Café and the impeccable attention to detail provided by JD and Francois, we experienced an amazing three-week adventure in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Botswana. En effet, François et JD avec « The Travel Cafe » ont réussi à procurer à leurs clients "le meilleur" en phase avec un budget-période grâce à leur expertise-expérience de l'Afrique Australe
En outre, ce sont de belles personnes aidant plusieurs associations, ceci en toute discrétion !
Pour la première fois, nous avons voyagé en groupe, étant profondément des voyageurs individuels... et … exigeants ...
Mais que 8 en tout avec l'accompagnatrice ...

But we are aware that it is rare to have had such a well-designed organization-planning, without stress, all with a pearl: our guide...

Nous avons connu J.D. et François lors d’un voyage au Botswana et nous avons sympathisés.
Une fois rentrés chez nous J.D. et François nous ont proposé un voyage tout compris de 15 jours en petit groupe francophone ainsi que notre accompagnatrice (Audrey) en Afrique du Sud. Avons instantanément accepté.
Nous avons été enthousiasmés par notre voyage car vol direct sans escale, prix très compétitif, véhicule spacieux, avec remorque pour transporter les bagages lors des changements d’hôtel. Bien sur, nous n’avons pas tout vu en 15 jours, car ce pays est grand comme deux fois la France, mais nous avons visité la région du Cap et sa péninsule avec une mention particulière pour la montée vertigineuse en téléphérique sur Tabl Mountain (La Montagne de la Table) et la colonie des manchots du Cap.
Un premier déplacement nous a conduits dans le domaine de J.D. et François à Starry Starry Night. Nous y avons passé deux jours, avons renoué le contact et fait une excursion vers l’une des rivières de l’endroit.
Et nous sommes repartis sur la route des vins et je garde un souvenir merveilleux de la dégustation de la Cuvée « Lady May » qui n’a rien à envier à un grand vin français.
Puis nous avons rejoint le Blyde River Canyon Lodge pour une visite du 3ème plus grand canyon du monde et ses sites majestueux.
Nous avons rejoint le Lodge SHINDZELA pour terminer ce beau voyage par des safaris. Une troupe d’éléphants est venue nous saluer devant le lodge en s’abreuvant à un point d’eau réaliser pour les animaux.
Durant les safaris nous avons en la chance de voir des rhinocéros des zèbres des girafes, mais surtout une troupe de 24 lions se reposant et enfin, le graal : un léopard qui s’est manifesté quand on ne l’attendions plus.
