Dear Customer Service Team,

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the recent purchase and delivery experience concerning the 30 boxes of floor tiles I bought on Sunday, 12 April 2026, intended for installation in my kitchen and front hall.

The delivery scheduled for Saturday, 18 April 2026, arrived outside the agreed-upon time slot. Upon arrival, I discovered that all 30 boxes had been crammed upright onto a single pallet and divided into two batches, rather than being laid flat. Had the boxes been placed face down, it would have been significantly safer and more practical to slide them off the pallet.

Due to the manner in which the boxes were stacked, I attempted to separate one of the batches, at which point the tiles fell forward onto me. As I proceeded to bring the first batch into the house one box at a time, one of the boxes fell forward from its pallet and shattered into pieces. This damage was a direct result of the unsafe and improper stacking method used during delivery, and not due to any mishandling on my part.

I returned to the store in person on Sunday, 19 April, to report the issue and request a replacement. I was informed that I would need to submit an email outlining the matter, which I found to be an unsatisfactory level of customer service given the circumstances. Nevertheless, I complied and sent the required email on Monday, 20 April 2026 at 10:39 a.m. To date, I have received no response.

On Wednesday, 22 April 2026 at 15:52 hrs, I contacted the store by phone, only to be transferred to a voicemail without any subsequent follow-up. This continued lack of communication is extremely disappointing, particularly as your store came highly recommended by Lucan Kitchens. Based on my experience thus far, I am beginning to question that recommendation.

I have made every reasonable effort to resolve this matter and obtain a replacement for the broken tiles. I am now requesting an immediate response and a replacement for the damaged box, which was not broken through any fault of my own.

Should I fail to receive a timely reply and satisfactory resolution, I will have no alternative but to return all 30 boxes of tiles to the store and request a full refund. I will then proceed to source my materials elsewhere.

I trust that this matter will receive the urgent attention it requires.

Tile Merchant Coolock Avoid, Ante in tile merchants recommended Keith O'Neill bathroom refurb for our two bathroom full refurb. Changed out our bath which now bath doesn't fill as water pressure doesn't work. Let us put new pump in, still wont work. Keith O'Neill the fitter avoided us from 2024 to 2025 over a year along with tile merchants when he did arrive to check pressure didn't close off the valve under sink ended up causing a slow leak that cost €1,600 of damage to wood floor. The radio silence for another 10 months. Ante in the shop doesn't care they just want your money and then not his problem, even though they recommended Keith in the first place. Thanks for the bath that doesn't fill and shower that is like a drip. Disaster.

Edit: This is regarding an in-store experience and I moved on and made the purchase from one of your competitors. Hence, you will not find any records with my name in your system now or never in the future.

Damaged item delivered today and they need another 3-4 days to exchange it with a non damaged item. Not happy with overall service and email response.

Customer service was superb. Emailing me to keep me fully up to date on my order. And delivery time was excellent.

Appalling delivery service. Materials just dumped at my front gate of the house, delivery drivers did not call me or knock on my front door to let me know they were there or to sign for delivery or ask me where I wanted it left resulting in expensive material being left on my front lawn. As my tiler is not arriving for a week, I have to carry each of the bags into a secure location myself. Very disappointing after paying €60 for delivery. When I complained Tile Merchant referred to ‘kerbside delivery’ as the excuse, however this was not made clear to me when ordering and as a matter of basic courtesy I would expect the driver to let me know they had arrived rather than leaving the delivery right at my gate.

Website is not updated properly. We ordered a panel as it said it was in stock but later got an email saying it was in fact not in stock. We had to choose another panel which we weren’t keen on. Good quality material but very poor website stock.
