I signed up with Trend Signal in September of 2022, six months ago, and I held off writing a review because I genuinely wanted to give the system, and the coaches, a fair chance to prove it’s effectiveness and live up to the marketing hype of 1100 pips per month on average, and a 73% win rate

For those of you who don’t care about the details and just want the summary, here is the headline; after six months of using Trend Signal I am down almost 50% on my starting capital.

For those who prefer more detail, here is a breakdown of the last six months, and the reasons I wish I had never signed up with Trend Signal

The Strategies
I signed up to three strategies, the D1 Sniper (a set and forget strategy that reputedly makes an average of 1100 pips/month), the D1 Accelerator, a more hands on strategy which apparently performs even better than the D1 Sniper, and a 4H strategy which, in the sales webinar, was touted as performing just as well as the first two.

The first month, September, went well with the D1 Sniper up around 13%. However, the D1 Accelerator and the 4H had not performed well. When I mentioned this to the coaches I was told to just focus on the D1 Sniper for now, and not to use the 4H at all because it “wasn’t very reliable”. Alarm bells! From there, things took a real down turn.

October: D1 Sniper = -130 pips / Accelerator -176
November, D1 Sniper -357 pips / Accelerator -314
December, D1 Sniper -296 pips / Accelerator +92
January, D1 Sniper +316 pips / Accelerator -647 (a financial loss of 18% on a demo account).
February (so far) D1 Sniper -817 pips / Accelerator +82
(a loss of -7.5% and -6%)

The biggest issue with the D1 Sniper strategy is that, while most strategies rely on having a risk to reward greater than 1:1, (I.e risking £1 to win at least £1) with Trend Signal, the risk to reward is very heavily skewed toward the risk. Often you are risking £3 or £4 to win £1. If the strategy holds up to its 73% win rate claims, this is not a problem but if that win rate slips, you’re in trouble. I cannot begin to express the frustration of repeatedly seeing five or six wins wiped out by one loss. Small wins, large losses. That could be the tag line of the D1 Sniper strategy.

When I approached Trend Signal to discuss the poor performance, it was made clear that the results they had achieved over those six months were often very different from my results, and so I must have been doing something wrong. I had no idea what I was doing wrong because the D1 Sniper is a “set and forget” strategy, so I turned, hopefully, to the coaching

The Coaching
The coaching material, videos and manual, are very limited (around 20 mins of videos) and act as instructional materials only. Likewise, the three coaching calls at the start and the weekly webinars are mostly just to make sure you understand the instructions for each strategy

The coaches are very nice people but the method and medium being utilised just does not allow for individual needs and issues. I've taken courses at a fraction of the price of Trend Signal and on those courses, if I had an issue, someone would either call me immediately or schedule a call to go through things with me until the problem was resolved. There is simply none of that with Trend Signal, everything is done via email or frantic texting during an open webinar. For the price of this system I would have expected a lot more than just webinar reviews and text based responses coupled with constant reference to how well everyone else is doing.

To compare my experience to a hypothetical example from another service industry, let’s say I wanted to lose weight and so hired a fitness coach who advertised their incredible, never fails weight loss plan. But, after six months on the plan I had gained a significant amount of weight, I would expect that coach to be shocked, to call me up, to perhaps even work with me individually for a time to uncover the issues and turn things around so that my results matched the advertised results. I wouldn’t expect them to simply say “Well, you must be doing it wrong” and send me lots of charts showing me how much weight everyone else had lost. How does that help?

Conclusion
Would I recommend Trend Signal? Nope, I absolutely would not. I’m sure many people have fared just fine and made money using their system (they are making some very bold claims if not). But for me, I wish I had never signed with them. I feel like I have wasted £4000 and I'm faced with the choice of continuing to use their system until I run out of trading capital. Or ditching it and accepting that Ive blown £4,000 on a lot of hot air and empty promises. I had such a high hopes when I joined, but ultimately the last six months has been a hugely disappointing and costly experience, during which, I have felt utterly lost and in the dark.

Trendsignal offer a very well packaged course which lives up to your expectations and does not disappoint. From the moment you sign-up you are taken on an introductory Walkthrough and a personal connection is established between you and them. The course comprises videos, written materials and online webinars together with one-to-one tuition with a dedicated experienced trader who is personally allocated to you. They will answer all your questions and assist with any learning blockages you may have (as I did). During my career I have been a trainer myself so I know what good training looks like and I can honestly say that theirs is probably the best I have ever experienced. I cannot recommend them highly enough for those who are interested in developing their trading success.

Been with Trendsignal for about a year. Have enjoyed the experience and been making good profits, especially with the daily charts and the D1 Accelerator. Having been an investor previously, the more active trading seems to suit me more. Support and one to one coaching was really clear and helpful.

I joined Trendsignal in June 2022 with the hope of learning how to trade and making a decent income in the markets. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Firstly, there is no trading education, you are only taught how to operate their system, not how to trade the market yourself. So if you want to learn how to trade, this is not the place for you. Right from the start, they get you signed up to a loan agreement from a finance company so that they can set you up with a 2 week free trial, at the end of the trial, if you haven’t cancelled the agreement with the finance company you are locked in for the duration. During the 2 weeks they’ll do everything they can to make it seem amazing and cover over the cracks so that you don’t end the agreement, however since the D1 sniper and accelerator are swing trading strategies, you are told trades can be open for up to 7 days. 2 weeks is hardly enough time to gauge whether the system is profitable long term.
In my first month I made a decent amount of money and was quite content. However, that quickly changed when a run of bad trades the following month wiped out all progress I had made. Its easy to see why, the trades have a very poor risk to reward. Most of them are 1:0.3 meaning that for ever 1% of your account you risk there’s a chance you can gain 0.3%. Some trades have a risk to reward as low as 1:0.2, in this case you would need to win 5 trades in a row to equal 1 stop loss. This is not a profitable way of trading. When I mentioned this with my coach he said that the high win rate would even this out and make profit. However this is not the case, over the last 6 months I have a win rate of 75% which has produced me a profit of £-60.
Do not get caught up in the marketing on the emails. It is carefully worded to suggest that the amount of pips profit they make each month directly correlates to the same amount of money, e.g. ‘we made 900 pips profit this month, trading at £3 a point would have made you £2700’. Firstly, in order to trade consistently trade with £3 per point stake size you would need an account size of around £15,000, and secondly, stake size is worked out based on the size of the stop loss and the percent of your account you want to risk per trade. Since the stop loss sizes vary greatly anywhere from 40 pips to 300 pips on FX pairs and up to 1000 pips with indices, even if you had a £15,000 account, it is simply false that you will be able to trade the way they suggest in the emails. Couple this with the small average take profit targets (30-50 for FX pairs and slightly more for indices) and the amount of money you make is insignificant compared to what is advertised in the emails.
Once the 2 week trial had ended I found that the communication and support was poor. You are pretty much left to your own devices but for some trade recap webinars which I found incredibly unhelpful and drawn out. All they do is cover the trades that happened last week so you can see you’re taking the same trades as them. That’s it. There is no market analysis, no possible reasons for why they went wrong, no events to look out for this week or anything that could be used to improve your trading.
Furthermore the support staff are quite unhelpful as well. The 4 times I have contacted someone for support I have been told different things. The first time I contacted my coach with a query about news trading (after the 3 coaching sessions) he had a look at my trade log, saw that my trades matched trendsignal’s and advised that I avoid trading high impact news events until I have a 30% profit buffer in my account, I took his advice and that’s what I did. The second time I contacted him with a different question, he told me he would get back to me in a couple of days and I never heard from him again. I followed up the next week and that email was ignored as well. Despite this I persevered until just after Christmas when I still had made no profit, I contacted support again who looked through my trading log for the previous 2 months and this time told me that my results my be different because I had only taken just over half of the valid trades during that time period. When I replied to that email stating I has been told to avoid news trading and questioned if that was the case, they seemed offended that I had queried it and gave me a copy and paste response about how it may or may not improve results and can be done at your own discretion. Despite this I persevered for another month, still following the strategy to the letter and once again made no money. I contacted the support team today who were again, very unhelpful, only offering to have a look at my trade log again. I suggested speaking to a coach and they said I should email my questions and they’ll see what they can do about speaking to a coach. After emailing my questions I had no response all afternoon and I have finally had enough.

Having tried a few systems in the past, and very disappointed with the results, I've finally found the best in the business. I'm a well retired person, so not as quick as I was. Al staff at Trendsignal have been exceptionally patient and very helpful, especially Johnathon, who has explained things very clearly and precise. I would strongly recommend Trendsignal to other seniors, not only for the trading and being another source of income, but it also helps to keep ones mind active, which is important in later years.

Mike Maloney is the best coach you could ever get. He has great clarity and knowledge re in depth trading.

I joined Trendsignal after leaving the armed forces in 2009 after 33 years' service. I have been very impressed with the standard of the training and the support provided for all strategies traded. All the instructors are very experienced traders and importantly they have travelled the same journey as their students. I've been with Trend signal for around 3 weeks now. Wasn't quite sure what to expect. Now that I've completed my training, I have to say I'm very impressed.
They assume that you are brand new to trading, and take you, step by step, starting with the absolute basics, and guiding you to your first trade.
They emphasize the importance of risk management, and cover all aspects of their strategy.
There's plenty of research material for you to look through - training videos, written material that you can print off, and webinars where you can ask questions.
Then there's the one to one coaching where you can ask as many questions as you want.
Overall, very impressed!

Trend Signal didn't explain a lot of information before I signed up. They didn't provide full access their product until the trial period was finished. They provide a lot of unnecessary technical information in the beginning when it is easy to understand and start a trial quickly. My results found the system doesn't work after 2 months. Before this the software looks promising. This all helps towards passing the point where I was trapped into a loan I couldn't get out of and stuck with a product that doesn't work. I kept an excel sheet from the beginning to track my performance which matches Trend Signal opened trades provided. Trend Signal won't provide the outcome of their trades however, my results show slowly degrading trades.

The introductory seminar was clear and informative, a little bit pushy selling the system once the seminar ended. Give it time to settle in as it is a lot of money. Once I purchased the system Trend Signal were very professional and extremely helpful. There is a wide array of tutorial information which is clear and easy, perhaps to easy and short and could be a little more in-depth but there is loads of information for reference. The one to one coaching is first rate, the coach is calm and patient and goes over everything as often as I needed to get me up to speed. The system is very good the snipers work well and generally are accurate. I have only been with them 2 weeks but i am enjoying the process and would highly recommend others to get involved.

I use Trendsignal DT2 and, quite simply, it makes money if you follow the rules. I have been with the Company several years now and find them thoroughly professional in all dealings with them. All of the instructors explain clearly the processes while conducting live trading sessions and this is a very reassuring part of the package.
I look forward to many more successful years of trading using Trendsignal products.

Don't know where these good reviews are coming from, purchased this product in March, £4000, I am as we write end of July, £50 down, trade after trade losing, copying trades to the letter, plus paying for live feeds
For every winning trade of around £25 you have 2 losing trades of £30 + my last 8 trades have had one winning trade to a loss of £270

I have been a Trendsignal subscriber since 2015 and the improvements to the system in 2022 with the introduction of the D1 Sniper Strategy have led to a massive improvement in results over the old system. Using that, together with the 4 hour accelerator signals would have given, on my figures- theirs might be different- a return of 160% over the last 6 months. The only problem is trusting the system and not trying to second guess it- but with results like these you should not need to.

I subscribed to Trend-Signal in March this year, having received emails for the previous 18 months encouraging me to take advantage of the D1 Sniper and Accelerator programmes. The induction was good, although there were times when I wished I had a User’s Manual to which I could refer. The facilities are not all provided by Trend-Signal. They supply the software that determines which trades offer the best scope each day, The Charting Centre provides Charts to show how the markets are developing throughout the day for which they charge $50 per month, and Two-Way Markets set you up on a Trading Platform, such as OvalX, chosen because they permit beginners to place “mini” trades with stakes as small as 10 pence per Pip. The process is pretty straightforward but, inevitably, beginners encounter teething problems. Some of them could be easily eliminated by Trend-Signal Matching the names of the Financial Instruments (eg the FX pairs to be traded) to the same names used by the Trading platform. After all, it’s not very helpful being advised to place a Trade X not knowing that the Trading Platform calls it Trade Y. Fine for experienced traders but not for beginners. Ideally, beginners also need a telephone contact to seek advice when snags arise but, because Trades mostly take place between 9 pm to 10 pm Sunday to Friday, no support is currently available.
Trend-Signal indicate that in the 12 years or so since they have been trading approximately three-quarters of trades are successful and one quarter unsuccessful. Moreover, they suggest that on average their subscribers generate around 900 Pips per month. My personal performance in the first 3 months that I have been trading all the recommended trades, is that three-quarters of them have certainly been successful, but my average Pip earnings have only been closer to 450 Pips per month. It is important to understand that stake sizes vary inversely to stop-loss levels, so a 50 Pip gain with Trade A may be easily wiped out by a 25 Pip loss on Trade B. That said, my account has grown in value since I started, but having been about 20% up a week ago that has now reduced to around 12%. I suspect this is simply the effect of gains and losses not necessarily being made evenly over time, and some months will be noticeably better than others. I am advised that staying with the project is key to ultimate success, and that is certainly my current plan in the hope and expectation that Trend-Signal will deliver greater things as the year progresses.

Very expensive! Learn to trade yourself by reading books like Elliott Waves Made Simple: Master Elliott Waves Techniques In Less Than 48 Hours. It will take longer than 48 hours but its a dam sight cheaper at 6 pounds rather than the thousands it costs to get trained with trend signal witch I sadly paid for! I used this book and other books plus You tube etc and I'm now doing well with my own charting and strategy! Trend signal is good for those that are wanting the support and don't mind paying for it rather than simply learning yourself with books which is what I ended up doing because I did not find trend signal much good for me.

You did not tell me what tools you use like the bollinger bands etc. They where described as lines to me. You don't actually want people to know how to trade by them self because you want them to keep using your products so you can keep earning a profit! To people who want to learn to trade then don't be lazy and pick up books, watch videos and practice practice practice on a dummy account. Then get your own strategy, keep testing until you have a good month of consistent profits and you can put your emotions to one side, because controlling your emotions is the hardest part. It will save you money and get you trading without the costs. For those that prefer this way then its all good, its decent for what its intended to do, but it will keep you spending money.

The live online workshops held weekly are professionally conducted and in a friendly manner , with questions dealt with honestly. These sessions help to continually reinforce the trading rules and particular strategy employed. Previous trades, winners and losers, are all reviewed in depth and upcoming potential trades are analysed.This level of support is vital in helping to build confidence and an understanding of the context affecting any given trade decision.
