UMA site has been down for 3 weeks! I called because we have no access to our financial aid ledger. A rep told me that the site was back up and to check when i am able and NO it is still not up!!!! How are we suppose to continue without knowing the financial status. This is not a good look to new students.

Every since I started school here its been an issue with financial aid. Very first disbursement was late,due to misinformation from different departments. This time, issue with system. Everything its time for disbursements something goes on. The lending institution records and disbursement amounts are different from what uma says. Its always something. Reached out to student services for help with something. I was told I would receive an email later that day and someone would call in 3 to 5 days.recieved the email a week later. This whole experience has truly been a lesson of its own. When you call regarding the issue noone has any information or can provide any updates.

Please don’t not in I mean do not attend this school they are scammers in fraud they are fake advertising the school the financial aid everything on they website we still haven’t received are financial aid they lied told me they it was mailed out September in would be received soon but today talk too someone and they said still didn’t know anything and didn’t know when I would be receiving it they don’t answer any of the phone line in When they do no one answer I’ve being calling them for they last past week was on hold for the last past week for over few hours no one never answered they are unprofessional they only reach out to you when you haven’t did a course assessment etc I’ve will definitely not be attending this school anymore they are joke liers play to many games

They kicked me out less than three weeks in with no explanation. I tried to sign in one day, and it wouldn't let me. I found it weird, so I checked my emails, and sure enough, they sent me an email stating my enrollment has been terminated. They were all over me about starting; but why? They probably just want your financial aid from the federal government. I did all of my work and signed in three times a week, it was the very first couple of classes are too easy; even if I had to fix some mistakes, shouldn't an instructor or someone from admins have contacted me prior to termination? Upon reading the reviews, this isn't an uncommon practice at UMA. They say they're all about professionalism; okay, that's great y'all say it but I never saw it. UMA's ending will end like every other online school: in debt. My future wife attends UMA and has held a 4.0 GPA the entire time! Some of the teachers look like AI, but I can't confirm or deny it. I hope they don't kick her out a week before she graduates. If they do, for no legal reason, we will report UMA to the Department of Education. GUYS IF THESE PEOPLE ARE TREATING YOU UNFAIRLY DO NOT HESITATE TO HOLD.THEM.ACCOUNTABLE!!!

I'm pissed off at this point. How the hell the systems been down going on a month but let you miss days they hurry up and email you about that. I only received 398 of fafsa this past August and nobody could explain that to me. They said I had to take out a UMA loan. I'm legally disabled on SSI so why I don't have enough funding to cover my courses. They sent out an email stating you can't call them but they can call you and if you miss the call email your instructor. I feel like my personal information is at risk at this point.

This school is Definitely Fasure a scam and i am getting lawyer for what have been going on this is seriously ridiculous system been down for about 3-4 weeks now and if my information at risk nobody sure knows nothing some people haven’t received their refunds or nothingggg the people who be answering these phones sound like their in bed with an attitude like im so upset i choose this school out of my 3 top options i had

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience with Ultimate Medical Academy’s financial aid department. The financial aid system has reportedly been down for an entire week, and students are being affected through no fault of their own.
Because of this system issue, students are being left waiting for financial aid funds that they depend on for school and other necessary expenses. What makes the situation even more frustrating is the lack of adequate communication, urgency, and accommodations for students who are being impacted.
Technical problems can happen, but students should not have to suffer financially because of an internal system error. I believe UMA needs to communicate more clearly, provide realistic updates, and offer some type of accommodation to students whose financial aid has been delayed. This situation has been very stressful and disappointing.

This school is a joke. Their servers have been down for 6 days and students don't have access to their financial aid. They are giving no explanation for the outage or communicating as to when the servers will be back up. Don't go here!!

I absolutely love this school. I love the support. They always made sure I was okay and kept me up to date with everything.

started my online classes only to be ejected with no explanation. when I called eligibility back, they said it was a prior from 2011 that was stopping me from doing my classes. it was a possession charge for having a small weed pipe and a small seed. they said i need to have it expunged in order to continue. I've called a few other schools and they do not even require background checks, and the work field only looks back 7-10yrs. so the time limit has expired for it to affect me negatively. they should not allow students to start school just to pull them outfor stupid priors almost 2 decades ago! they need to do better1!

After I graduated I the alumni got me my first job. It wasn’t even in what I went for, got fired from that job because the f-bomb was dropped outside of my office window and the company wouldn’t let me explain that I live in a ground floor apartment. Now they aren’t helping me get another job. They say that they will help you with anything you need, but that’s a lie. My internet got shut off, my rent is due, and my electric will be due and my new alumni won’t help me, she transferred me to somebody else. I’ve already called her supervisor once, UMA is such a joke!

I will say I was enjoying my classes until I'm suddenly locked out with no reason why. I was making payments and poof I'm locked out. No letter, no email or text stating what's going on. I called and it took 6 hours for them to come up with an answer. They wanted all $13,000 before they will reinstate me. Get real. Bad business switch and bait as far as I'm concerned.

I was in school for 3 days, they kicked me out of school and did not tell me. They called me that morning to login and I didn't have my tablet so I didn't login because I was at work. So I tried to look at 6:30pm an I had to call to get told I got kicked out an they don't know why

This school is a joke, this is the second time I've dealt with being unenrolled with no communication, I first enrolled in medical billing and coding and within the 3rd week they tried to say they didn't receive the documents they needed in time and had to unenroll me, well I had everything documented where I sent my paperwork in before the deadline they just failed to pull the documents until after the deadline time. They were going to make me start all my classes back over I spoke with a manager and sent him all of the documents and he reinstated me up to my current classes. My friend had the same issue and had to start hers over. Well I decided to switch to pharmacy tech I have two months before graduation and 3 weeks before my externship I wake up today to do my work and low and behold I'm unenrolled!! I'm beyond pissed, i spoke with admissions to try and find out the reason and she claims its my background check, I have already had my background check cleared by the Alabama board of pharmacy and also have emails stating where my licensing has been approved. I speak to financial aid because I was supposed to have a disbursement sent tommorrow and I find it odd that they wanted to unenroll me before my 26-27 grants/loans were added to my account and now because of cancelation I wouldn't receive what was supposed to be sent to me. She states that I would have to re enroll and let them redo my financial aid. To hell with that I wasted a year on maintaining a 4.0 GPA and honors roll just for them to try and seek more money and I feel like that's alot of what is going on with this school. I've also read some complaints on facebook where girls had one day before graduation and they were unenrolled. It's absolutely crazy for the ones that have graduated I guess yall got lucky....

I was entirely unenrolled after my second class because during the five week period for that course I was hospitalized twice, extremely sick a large portion of the time, then had a major family death that caused me to have to drive across the country. I had tried to keep up with my work to the best of my ability, but it's a bit difficult when you have all this going on. I just barely failed the class, yet instead of letting me retake the course, or get an extension, after I spoke with multiple advisors who told me that is what would happen, I was instead entirely unenrolled without any kind of notice or warning til AFTER it was finalized. Now, if I want to go back, I have to start from the very beginning with the course I'd already taken and passed. The school wasted my time, my money, and did nothing but lie to me. All they want from you is money, non-profit my ass. The only communication you ever get is an advisor who will call you seventeen times a week to check on you, but feign care and just say finish your work and nothing else, they don't care if you're lying in a hospital bed barely able to move.

I have asked anyone not to accept or go to UMA. They will have you do all your courses and stuff just to tell you later that your background came and they would cancel everything you did are they not professional. They really just want your money from financial aid please please do not go there.

They stole my financial aid then lied how can I file a claim against them

Horrible admissions was for May 11th .my financial aid went through and they cancelled my admissions today

I’m so sorry to inform you all that my wife passed away, but if she could say anything it would be, she didn’t think she could do it at first but she stay with it and finished. It was a very great experience and it was worth it.
