I had an absolutely fantastic experience working on Look At Me as a supporting artist.

From the moment I arrived on set, everyone at Universal Extras and the entire production team made me feel genuinely welcome, valued, and part of the team. The organisation was excellent, communication was clear, and everyone was friendly, professional, and supportive throughout the production.

It was a privilege to be involved in such a well-run project. Despite being an extra, I never felt like “just another face”—I felt respected and appreciated, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere on set was positive, inclusive, and collaborative, and it was clear how much care and dedication everyone put into creating the production.

Thank you to Universal Extras and the production team for providing such a memorable experience. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment and am incredibly grateful for the opportunity. I would be delighted to work with you again and look forward to many more opportunities in the future.

Some ways UVE could improve: reduce the upfront fees (legitimate agencies should not charge this), push for faster information from productions (instead of holding everyone on a pencil for no reason), create an easy "unavailable" button so we're not forced through a lengthy form for jobs we're unavailable for, provide better information when sending SA's to jobs, look after the SA's (or at least try find some balance between the clients needs and the SA's needs).

For fairness, I will end with some positives: they can get good quality jobs come in with decent pay, their chits come through fast.

I have just signed up and called up to request a review of my profile and photos. The person I spoke to was generous with her time and gave me some pointers on the photos as well as spotting a big chunk of info I had missed out on! I was very satisfied with her help and she invited me to call back if I needed any more assistance All bodes well for the future.

Like I said, just two little jobs in over five years on their books. Yes, you can say that I am doing something right, by getting put forward to production, but I have the same with other agencies. Yes, plenty of AV’s and plenty of releases, but also plenty of work over the past five years. The law of averages do not stack up with you guys… as I’ve mentioned before, all the fellow supporting artists I talk to, both on set and on social media, are saying the same, that UVE are useless and steer clear, don’t pay them a penny to avoid disappointment.

The process of receiving an availability, whether being accepted or not, to being directed to the location of set if selected is fast, efficient and precise.
Any queries you may have sorted promptly , and the ground work for what to expect is laid down clearly. Plus the option of how far you're willing to travel within your means is a comfort to know.
I would highly recommend Uni-versal Extras if this is a profession you would like to explore because its positive and rewarding foundation to start building your portfolio with the work they put forward.

Had a great time with all the other extras on a beautiful location for the filming of Falling. Costume and make-up staff were friendly and polite as always. Nice food and looked after well.
As always the most annoying aspect of doing extra work is the very last minute booking process, often not getting confirmation until the day or even evening before. And also not always being told either way. For most of the pencilled in bookings I get released and I want to do other things on that day, so this is not helpful. I can understand this is helpful for production in case of last minute cancellations, but the planning with all that is involved must be ready well before to be able to book extras with a bit more notice.

Thank you to UVE for giving me the opportunity to be featured as one of the contestants on Smoggie queens S.2. I had the most amazing time ever with all the cast and crews. This would not have been possible without UVE. Thank you for trusting and believing in me. Can’t wait to see myself on television.

As I've never been a good essay writer and I'm dyslexic I've confused the he'll out of it!

Filming on set with this company was an absolutely amazing experience for me! Crew on set were so helpful and communicated with every person involved in the process. I had a lovely experience working with the cast & crew, including the runners/make-up department/filming crew/director and actors. The food we were kindly provided on set (including a full breakfast, lunch and even dinner for late days) was delicious and we had so much selection. Location was mostly easy to commute by tube and often close to stops.

Excellent communications, kept abreast of the schedule and expectations.

It was my first time as a background extra - and it was fantastic.
I was kept informed of where to be and at what time - and I was met with great catering and other facilities.
After being bussed to the set, we were given clear instructions on what to do - and made to feel a real part of the production.
After a very quick 7 hour day, we were bussed back to the holding area and completed all necessary paperwork.
A few weeks later the fee for the day dropped into o my account - and I’m just hoping I’ll be picked again soon, for another fascinating day.

I found the production team friendly and professional. Filming at a busy location i.e bus station meant everyone needed to hear instructions which were clear.
The catering was excellent and holding area was very good and close to filming.

Great agency to work for good communication and updates

I’ve had a good experience working with UVE on the Amandaland S2 production. They are reliable when it comes to answering phones and clearly communicating call times, which helps everything run smoothly.

There was one occasion where production didn’t record that I had attended a fitting, and I had to flag this with the UVE team to get it corrected.

One area for improvement would be keeping in touch with actors to check in on how filming went. It can be useful to know if anyone had a negative experience on set, as many actors may not feel comfortable speaking up due to fear of repercussions.

Overall, a dependable and professional team, with just a bit more follow-up needed to make the experience even better.

I had a great experience working on Amandaland S2. The team were welcoming, organised, and made the whole process enjoyable. I’m grateful to have been part of the production. And would happily work with UVE again in the future.

Got to work on a BBC programme known as Ghosts. What a beautiful place to have worked at and accessible too 😍 Though we worked outside we got through it together as team I was well looked after. Got to meet new people which is exciting. Though they didn’t have transport from the station to set you could still get there within 15 minutes with the cabs which is a service located in the station itself 😃

I had a great experience as an SA (Supporting Artist) on the production 'Unforgotten S7'. Thanks to the ADs and also great to meet some other SA's.
