Completely useless. Fold over to employer demands quicker than wet cardboard. Total waste of money, and honestly can't see where all the subscription money goes, but we can all guess ey Lillis.

The 7 month experience I have had with this 'union' is nothing short of terrible. I have requested their assistance on one personal matter which they assured me could be dealt with by way of their legal advice service, the advice was 'get a family lawyer.' Also on one workplace matter, they took my complaint and assured me they would raise it with my employer and get back to me, after 3 months I am still waiting for the update. I have been trying to cancel for what feels like an age, I have requested to cancel no less than 3 times all to no avail so far.

Only a 1 star because 0 isnt an option.

I paid in to the union for nearly a decade and saw no support from them, only more and more problems which were never tackled or even addressed properly in a way that would begin to help the members.

Spineless union who live in the pockets of retail giants. Heard long ago that they signed a deal whereby they would never take strike action, leaving the shop floor staff powerless to being bent over a barrel and having increasingly more work forced on them with compensation falling further and further behind.

Dont join usdaw, if you do want to give it away, I suggest homeless charities, toilet paper, or even make a bonfire you'd get more benefit from giving it away that way

Been with USDAW for 12 months now and have been reliable everytime. Always had a callback from the rep within 24 hours and the advice has been great. Many of the bad reviews seem to be linked to Tesco but for me, they are great.

Don’t give your hard earned money to this shower. Throw your money up in the air and watch it blow down the street at least you will be able see where your money goes.

At best incompetent, at worse uncaring. Was a member for a long time, when facing redundancy offered no support or representation even when calling to request. Never pushing for proper payrises, should aim to be like RMT and properly represent and protect members. Weak and lacking any backbone. It's no surprise their membership numbers are falling

Weak representative, weak union,
They had a perfect opportunity to secure a decent pay deal, and they gave in to Management pressure.

They successfully oversaw our paycut. Our hourly rate went up barely but we lost our quarterly bonus, any idiot with a calculator could work out we were down £800 a year. Now we have gotten a 30p/hr pay rise in 2022 leaving us £200 a year down on 2019. And they post literature to plaster around the workplace bragging about how they fight for us. Trouble is the new people who walk in the door read this and think it is a good union, don't fall for it.

Just been informed that I shall be getting a 2/.pay rise as.l am totally bemused by this as it was rejected.why won't usdaw fight for the membership .l can understand how they are losing members rapidly...very poor union.

After years of contributions I decided to cancel my subscription. A union that won't negotiate wages..stick up for its workers and bows down to the companies is totally inept. 0 star for the poor service all round but a 1 star for our area rep who had the time to call me back on every issue i had...even though every single time it was a case of "yeah your employer CAN do that"...dont waste your money as you have no additional rights to that of a non member.

This is a joke of a union, their members who pay subs, voted to reject a pay offer, but the shop in question just put the pay offer through regardless of Usdaw members voting against it, and Usdaw allowed this to happen without a fight, absolutely disgusting union not representing their members but happy to accept their members subs 😡😡😡

A union thats so in the pockets of the companies they recrute from! Dont join them, what a waste of money.

This Union is only interested in taken your subscription fee each month. Dispute got to National level and USDAW agree to a pay cut and change of T&C’s . Been with USDAW 20 years and never received a pay rise over 2% in the 20 years.Agree a 2 year deal of 2% know inflation was at 7% at the time. An Union which won’t fight for it members should be a shamed of themselves. Couldn’t even respond to a letter or email when I expressed my concerns and disappointment in there actions. I am now trying to get them removed and replaced by unite who have just got drivers in same warehouse a 12% pay rise

Absolutely useless virtually work for Tesco and not it’s Staff do deals on our behalf without even consulting all staff members must be the worst Union ever while they get there nice Tesco bungs

Absolutely useless. I joined them paying money every month then they could not help out with getting me holiday money my previous company owed me. I have heard other unions got things done..

I was a member for 10 years and you helped me when vindictive management singled me out for nothing other than doing my job.
My son started working at Marks and Spencer's in 2016 and,on advice, from myself joined USDAW.
When the problems hit the fan, he called you for advice and you couldn't get rid of him quickly enough.
And when he cancelled his subscription, you were so rapid in wondering why he did so.
More energy looking for his money rather than doing something to help with the abuse by the disreputable employer.

Pretend to know what they are doing.

Asked them not to phone me, the phone me exclusively and do not respond to emails.

Say they are happy to be copied in on emails
"Oh but I just have an ipad so it might not save it"

Waste of space and money. They should be shut down.

If I could give 0 stars I would completely waste of time and money, they don't do anything for you and they're only protected tesco , but that's is was happening when they're all work for tesco , how can we expect them to be independent???

Was a member for many years as part of my job. Complete waste of time. No help with any problems myself or other colleagues had. Basically always went with the employer when things were supposedly put to vote. Save your money instead👍🏻
