They are a joke and they above all they…

They are a joke and they above all they have a terrible service. I still wonder how I was able to get convinced by them because they had multiple red flags, first the terrible UI and also their support which responds once in like a week and them suspending my account and restricting me from taking out my money, I can go on listing how bad the service was. After I realized what they had done, I was so ashamed to even talk about it to anyone but glad I found the courage to confide#Coinforensiclabs#... I was able to receive insight and a clear explanation on how to proceed and eventually had the situation re solved.
They whole situation with Vanguard was so overwhelming and it had me weak to my bones, but in all it is all a thing of the past now but I would urge everyone to be wary of them and treat with caution.

Horrible customer service experience

Horrible customer service experience. I was trying to get my mother into her account and they wouldn't help me call her in, sent me a form to fill out that required her account number to get into her account and we didn't have the number because they locked us out of her account. I spoke to five customer service people that day and they were not helpful
I'm moving my money out to Bitci Stack Asset for guaranteed ROI, secured 401k and better customer service.

What Customer Service????

I am annoyed to say the least. They do not care about their customers. I requested a hardship withdrawal from my account last month. I STILL DO NOT HAVE IT AFTER TALKING TO MULTIPLE PEOPLE WHO DON'T GIVE CONSISTENT INFORMATION. They keep apologizing for the lengthy wait. Don't apologize just tell me what you need me AT THE SAME TIME. This is unacceptable. I hate that my employer uses Vanguard. Fidelity is so much easier to deal with whether using self service or customer service. Not only are they kind but they are competent.

INSULTING, TERRIBLE, INEPT, TIME CONSUMING SERVICE.

I have a 401A account, among others, and it took me approximately 90 minutes to affect an RMD after being disconnected once, placed on 2 expended holds for 40 minutes, being authenticated 5 times and being asked the same questions repeatedly. John Bogle must be turning in his grave. After a 43-year relationship with Vanguard, I will now transfer my accounts to Fidelity.

Vanguard has the worst customer service by far; zero attention to clients; awful website. All they do is send secured messages.

Love vanguard

Don’t know why there are so many negative reviews here.

I have been investing on vanguard platform for about 20 years. I have my brokerage account, retirement accounts, 529 college savings accounts. There are many funds and fees are generally very low. It worked great for me.

I don’t use much customer support, I almost only use the web site and mobile app. They are not the best in terms of usability, but good enough for me.

I would highly recommend vanguard to everyone.

Bots are broken


Takes FOREVER to get through to a sentient being. My throat is hoarse by the time I do. They make one listen to reams of irrelevant info and make you verify yourself OVER and OVER again.

They told me to Google the question I had and gave me incorrect information

Every time I call Vanguard I get a different story. I called because I needed a check reissued. This person told me I needed to send a letter of instruction. I asked for more information on how they want this done and she said to google it. I told her there’s no way they don’t have some information and she reluctantly sent me a list of what should be in the letter. When I asked for a supervisor she said she couldn’t do that and to dial again. I did what she said and a month later had to call again because I never got an update. Apparently I couldn’t get the check reissued because there wasn’t a form attached to the letter of instruction. I never was told about a form. On top of this , the form needs to be notarized which I was never told about either. So this person told me to google, and then gave me the wrong info and wasted a month of my time. Keep in mind this is probable 6 calls I’ve been trying to fix the same issue. Thankfully the last person I spoke to was helpful and sent me the information I need to get this done, but it’s been very difficult. Oh also both of these calls when they put me on hold it hangs up sometimes.

Horrible Customer Support; Disregard for Customers

Vanguard customer support is among the worst I have ever encountered. They are unable to solve even basic issues, do not follow up on cases, and fail to solve issues that can have major implications on the lives and financial wellbeing of their customers - which is particularly concerning given their industry. I have had to call repeatedly over the past 2 months to attempt to resolve an issue that has an April 15th deadline and each time I get the same responses from support agents (who have clearly not read my ticket), have to provide the same context, and get told that they'll submit another case and they will follow up in 2-3 business days. Vanguard has NEVER followed up with me despite those promises and now I expect that I will face a tax penalty because I simply cannot get anyone to respond despite having completed thorough paperwork and submitted a formal letter of instruction.

Totally frustrated and annoyed…

I have had an account for over 50 years. The company has gone down hill dramatically. They verify you 8 million times--toss you to 8 to 10 people if you get past the robotic system crap. They do not care about the investors at all, just the money they take from you.

Investors beware of hidden fees

Investors beware. I recently transferred 2 accounts from vanguard due to lack of trading functionality. I called before the transfer and reviewed their online instructions and they did not disclose a fee. They charged a $100 fee per account which drove my retirement account into a negative $100 cash balance at the new institution since all my funds were in holdings; they would not assist and said I would need to straighten it out with the new institution. Awful customer service, on top of the already limited functionality. Can’t sell fractional shares, reinvest dividends, etc. Take your hard earned savings elsewhere.

Opening a traditional IRA with Vanguard…

Opening a traditional IRA with Vanguard turned out to be an extremely frustrating experience. I spent over 10 days trying to set up the account, but was blocked due to a legacy account from 25 years ago that had already been closed. There seems to be no efficient way to resolve this issue. Very disappointing for a company of this reputation. I ultimately opened an account with Fidelity, where the entire process was smooth and completed in under 30 minutes.

they ripped us off of over 50,000. Then for us to be able to withdraw our money, they wanted another 32,000. I would run fast and far from these scammers. If we could give it negative 1000 stars, i would do so

ME:
This is something that a customer should know about ahead of time. They have access to all my funds, just under 10k. I don't have any access. I don't recall ever seeing that if you sign up for a robot account, this is what you find out. It is also difficult to find out how to close it, which took plenty of research to do. Often times people close an account because they are in financial need for funds. I find this very inappropriate and deceitful.

Not for the middle class

Their customer service is rude, and do nothing to help the customer. They banged me with major transfer fees for my kids’ UTMA accounts and wouldn’t budge, wouldn’t reimburse even partially, despite the fact that I have a large sum invested within their brokerage. Supervisor wouldn’t even get on the phone. They care more about the fees than keep a client holding far more than that in their brokerage. For the record, Robinhood doesn’t charge transfer fees. Vanguard is very much on their high horse and doesn’t care about the middle class family.

I regret setting up an investment and…

I regret setting up an investment and retirement account with Vanguard . The customer support is poor and highly unprofessional, My account got restricted without any tangible explanation and the customer support has proven helpless . After much turmoil, it's impossible not to recognize the value that Quick help earn delivers . Vanguard needs to do better with it's customer support .

CANNOT ACCESS account info

Ffor three days now, I have not had access to the information in my account. Even though I have over half a million dollars in there, I cannot do a thing in the app.
it says data unavailable. I have called multiple times, I have sent messages through their app, I have chatted with them. I’ve talked with multiple people. They apparently do not have a dedicated tech support group. It is unfathomable that an investment corporation would not be able to give clients access to their account info. I’m about to move all my money out of Vanguard. don’t use them use Schwab or T. Rowe Price.
